Flamepool wrote:Image/Description:

Ruffled, flame colored pelt (from where she received her name), ice blue eyes like deep pools of water , a little bit of her right ear is missing forming a little V no one knows how she received it except for Flamepool herself the only thing her clan mates know is that suddenly one day Flamepool woke up and had this scar.

Name:

Flamepool (Flamekit/Flamepaw also she had been mocked with the name Flamemist *read important notes for why*)

Gender:

She-cat

Clan:

Thunderclan

Rank:

Warrior

Personality/Skills:

Flamepool is a very patient cat, she is very shy and later tended to keep to herself giving her a mysterious appearance. She had started off as a medicine cat apprentice and was very talented indeed but the fact that she could never have a mate and kits made her quit and train as a warrior instead. She never got her mate or at least none anyone knew the name of but she did have 1 litter of kits. In the end Flamepool was a very loyal cat and died saving Thunderclans newest litter of kits at that time even though she was doubted by her clanmates and herself. Her love for kits always stayed with her.

Important Notes:

Flamepool did not receive her name from the fact that her eyes were like deep pools of water, she earned her name form her traits.

She had started acting mysterious only after she received her warrior name and cats mocked her because she was being so mysterious calling her by the name Flamemist since that would have fit her at that time but when she was given her warrior name she had always been quiet, shy and patient but not mysterious until later.

Sorry for the wait! I'll get this taken care of now.

Name Rating: 4/10
Name Type: Lyrical (tbh, it sounds pretty cool)
Name Reasoning: Remind me to put -pool up on the common names, because I do get this enough. I'll quickly rehash for you why -pool is unaccepted. The reason is that pools come in many shapes, sizes, and colors, and not all of them are similar. You can have a brown, muddy pool with thousands of frogs, you can have a blue pool that hides how deep it really is, you can have a green, plant-infested pool with fish constantly splashing around the surface. Pools do not have a fixed state; metaphorically, they do, but rarely are names metaphorical in traditional (the exceptions being -heart, -storm, -cloud, and -paw, and even then those can be pretty literal, so there you go).
Meanwhile, most would argue that Flame- is an acceptable name since it conveys the same thing as Fire-, but I don't agree for that specific reason. Cats have a set idea of what a fire is; a flame is merely part of a fire, so there's no real need for it.
Alternative Name: Firecloud. Fire- instead of Flame-, and -cloud for her quiet and pleasant personality.

Character Rating: 7/10
Character Reasoning: I think that her aloofness could be seen as trying to be mysterious, and that would probably help her keep the father of her kits under wraps, so I don't think I have a real problem with that. I don't really know why she would be acting this way when she becomes a warrior, though, and I don't think she should be called anything other than her real name (misnaming a cat is pretty disrespectful). It sounds like she has a little hint of disregard for the rules (I have a character like that myself, haha), so I would add that in.

Name: Silversplash

Gender: She-Cat

Clan: Lightclan

Rank: Warrior

Personality/Skills: Silversplash is a very swift and strong she-cat. She's very quiet and calm but very friendly. She can also swim rivers/lakes/ponds as fast as a fish.

Important Notes:

Name Rating: 7/10
Name Type: Canonical
Name Reasoning: I do know that -splash is meant to convey a good swimmer, but when you think about it, it really doesn't. It's basically saying this cat is noisy in the water, and scares away prey. Not exactly the nicest thing to name a cat for. Besides, -stream already covers a swimmer!
Silver- is just fine.
Alternative Name: Cinderstream/Ashstream. Silverstream, I assume, is not something one would use for their OC, so I suggest using either Cinder- or Ash-, which describe a grey cat just as well.

Character Rating: 9/10
Character Reasoning: I don't think that there's anything to complain about, just a suggestion to add a little more to her personality!

*Note, the hair is due to the artists style.

Name:
Wolfheart
* Named for her loyalty, her desire to help the group. She is like a member of a pack, her clan is her life. Rather than meaning she is evil or anything.

Gender:
She cat

Clan:
Not really important. Changes depending on what I'm using her for. If it was one of the main four she would be Shadowclan.

Rank:
Warrior

Personality/Skills:
Cool, calm and relaxed. She is a trained Hunter, finding ways to use her hunting skills in battle. She could never really grip normal battle skills unless she could use them to hunt. She can hold her own, but generally has another cat watching her back. She is extremely loyal to her clan, and is one of the first to stand up for others during conflict. She tries not to back down, pushing herself to the limits to prove herself.

Important Notes:
As said, she is a trained hunter. She can fight but fights in a team with another cat, they watch each other's back.
Having serious issues viewing dark colours at the moment. May delay replys to pms. Sorry.

The Leopard Pups
Grey, Black and White. The world revolves and we go with it. Twisting in this everlasting monotony, eyes of green and gold, watching and waiting for our chance, our time. Cytor, Liliana, Serenade, Bayonet, the Prankster, the sweet one, the mother and the lost soul. There birth was a lost event, one in a million, two wandering souls met in the shadows, and these four were created. There pups are the stuff of legend, one lost there sight, one lost there path, one lost there love and the other? The other lost his family, everyone they cared about. He lost his family.

I have been waiting to get a Wolf- cat for so long, you don't even know. Please don't take this personally; this has been a rant just itchin' to burst out onto this thread.

Name Rating: 5/10
Name Type: Canonical
Name Reasoning: I see many Wolf-s out here on Chicken Smoothie, and I've been wanting to drop some truth bombs on this name. Wolf- seems like a good name? It would probably be for a grey cat, as it usually is, and wolves are big and powerful! Any cat would be honored to be named after something that's also group oriented and immensely strong. It's not a bad name, right?
[BLARING ALARM SOUND] WRONG!
Here's why, my friends: Most, if not all of the Clans people RP in are set in England or the general UK. Wolves don't exist in England. They were wiped out completely thanks to the Irish Wolfhound being very good at what it does (as most dog breeds are). And even if this was in North America, guess what: it still wouldn't be a useable name. Wolves can be grey, brown, black, white, or a mishmash of colors! Besides that, if cats were living near wolves, they, frankly, would be right screwed. Doubtlessly some of you have heard stories of coyotes having some fun eating cats, right? What do you think a wolf, a much bigger, more ferocious animal, is capable of? Warriors would not have much chance near wolves in the least!
Boy howdy have I been wanting to rant about this for a while. That was fun.
Anyway, onto her suffix. -heart does seem pretty good for her, but she seems intensely interested in hunting as well. I'm not quite sure if she's super-skilled at it, though, so I'll suggest both.
Alternative Name: Sleetheart/Sleetwhisker/Hailheart/Hailwhisker. Both describe a light grey tabby, and -heart is for if she's more dedicated as a warrior than a talented hunter, and whisker if it's vice versa.

Character Rating: 8/10
Character Reasoning: I'll repeat this as many times as I need to: a basic Clan requirement is to be dedicated to helping the group. If you're not loyal, you don't belong in any Clan. That's not a bonus, that's a necessity. No cat gets brownie points for being faithful to their community. Sorry.
The rest of her sounds just fine, though, so I don't think there's much to critique other than that.

Hehehehe, glad to let you get that out :)
As a note, I don't set my rps or stories in anywhere real. But I take the stance of Wolves being an enemy of the legends Lionclan and such. So like lions and tigers and other large predators they use as names they also use wolves. Yes it's illogical, but so is using Lion when they have never met them :)

But I will remember what you said! You won't like Ferretclaw either I don't think, but I plan to give you him tomorrow! :p

Yes, the Lion/Tiger/Leopard thing is a little awkward to defend when I resolutely refuse Wolf. The reason I do allow the big cats is pretty simple, I think: They feature very heavily in the warrior mythology. They've been great figures of myths, and all common sense says they should have no idea what those big cats are, but they do! So, I accept it through what's called a "suspension of disbelief". I can accept that they're in the mythology. Besides that, they do have solid colors associated with them.

Wolf- is harder to defend, especially the coloring. I think that, in some alternate world, cats could know ancient myths of vicious enemy dogs that fought with the great big cat Clans. It doesn't hold water for me, but if it works in your setting, by all means use it.

It's all opinion here on Arcaii's Reviews.

Zen- is a little odd. When I first saw it, what sprung to mind was Zebrastripe, then I had a good laugh about a white cat with black stripes (spoilers: it's impossible). Nothing really comes to mind, because I am a hardwired traditionalist. If you have a description of her, I could offer a different name, but if you want to keep Zenstripe, then that's fine.
