Ugh, those shadows. It's impossible to tell. I can tell you that blue eye is photoshopped, though. Pretty obviously at that.

Moreover, unless you're looking for a simple judgement of a prefix, then I can't really work with just a picture. A suffix would require a quick fill in of skills and personality traits.

Arcaii wrote:What an interesting color!

Name Type: Traditional
Name Reasoning: I'm starting to see what others mean when they say we might need a suffix detailing both skills in climbing and speed.
Anyway, his name fits him perfectly. I don't have too much to say here, so let's keep going!
Alternate Name: None!

Character Assessment: Ahaha! I love this guy.
I appreciate that you haven't made his whole personality "scaredy cat", and that he has some depth to him. I don't think there's too much to say, other than well done!
Character Suggestions: I do definitely think there should be some weight and reason behind his being so jumpy - is he just sensitive to sounds, or does he have really terrible nightmares that makes him scared of the dark? Something along those lines.

Thanks for the suggestions and ways to make him a better character, it really helps. And when it comes to his fear, it's due to the lack of contact he's had with the world and/or from his mother.

As a young kit, his mother was quite strict and hardly aloud her son (smokekit in this case) wander out of the nursery. This was because of the fact that smokekit wasn't exactly an only child in the family. His mother (or shrikenose, who is a darkish grey cat with white underbelly and patches coating her body with gold eyes, has a knack for tracking and hearing) actually had three kits, smokekit, loonkit (black and white mollie with gold eyes), and dacekit (a dark blue-smoke colored mollie, olive green eyes, her genes favor her paternal heritage), but two of her kits (loonkit and dacekit) died of white cough, for shrikenose had green cough shortly after she became pregnant (during the winter) and still had the deadly disease when giving birth to her first litter (which was surprising as she came out alive throughout the process, since green cough would leave someone terribly weak), leaving her with smokekit.

The lost of her very first kits left the she cat quite broken, traumatized. But she knew she had a kit to take care of and push aside her longing to wail and grieve over her kits to take care of her last son. Obviously, after such an event, she took up the responsibility of taking care of her kit with great protection and strict rules, fearful that her last son would die if not under her watch.

With this new determination to keep her son out of harms way, she'd constantly warned smokekit of how dangerous the world was, describing with great detail of the battles that took place outside the den, the deaths that came with it and how the blood would stay and remain, leaving the battlefield in a terrible crimson colored state, leaving the small tom shivering, burying his face into his mother's pelt with wide eyes. And to even have his father, junipertail (blue-grey tom with sharp olive green eyes, talented at climbing), coming back one time with fresh scars and a bloody pelt shortly after a battle to check on his kit and mate, it might have scared the young tom out of his wits.

He held onto his beliefs that the outside world was full of danger throughout adolescence hood, and slowly, it started leaking into everything he encountered, even a bush since he would be frightened on how it's possible that a snake is hiding behind it. He stayed his nervous self for quite a while, rarely has he left his guard down, even a moment. But time passed, wars came and predators roamed the borders, and he started to feel relaxed, feeling as if being outside wouldn't be so bad. But old habits die hard, and although he wants to stop, he just can't help it. Although, he doesn't mean he won't stop trying to break these habits.

Hope this is a slightly good explanation for his behavior. (:

That's a pretty good explanation, honestly. His mother's influences aren't significant enough (at least, at the time) for the Clan to intervene and instill confidence, and the fact that he's slowly growing after all is excellent. Credit to Shrikenose for having kittens while sick as a dog, if you'll pardon the oxymoron, and credit to Smokes for being the one to pull through.

Shrikenose: Naaahh, thanks for the compliments.

*Flashes out claws*

Shrikenose: Now be a dear and don't touch my kit.

*Shrikenose coos while petting you, claws still unsheathed*

Smokefoot: M-mother, I think Ar-arcaii doesn't like that ver-

*Small leaf falls from a random tree and falls onto Smokefoot's tail*

Smokefoot: EEEEH, WHAT WAS THAT. *whirls around, only to hit both Shrikenose and Arcaii, eventually falling into a pile of three cats*

Smokefoot: O-oops..

Sorry, just had to XDDD

Also, I try to come up with more reasonable statements as to why she pretty much gory-fied every story she tells to Smokefoot or lessen the amount of times things frightened Smokefoot when he was a wee little lad (mainly his mother's horrifying tales) and have him develop a fear for live snakes, forcing him to become paranoid and having the fear leak into his personality

Image/Description: X.
Name: teaselnose.
Gender: male.
Clan: riverclan.
Rank: warrior.
Personality/Skills:

Personality:
Tolerant
Observant
Knowledgable
Reserved
Lonely
Stoic
Aloof
Vengeful
Aggressive

Personality Summary: teaselnose is the cat who appears to be boring, quiet and a complete rogue, but things aren't always what they seem. teaselnose is actually a tom that has an interesting attitude and a secret aggression if you dig deeper. teaselnose is quite knowledgeable for his age, and don't let looks deceive you, sure, he looks boring, but he might know that there's a cat you have a crush on without even having you tell him that you do. he's quite vigilant, noting every single detail, drinking in the information that only he can decipher from mere actions and words. teaselnose also pretty patient, so it's very likely that if you constantly follow him around always talking and talking and talking, he will just brush it off and deal with what he considers a small fuss. but he isn't exactly the most perfect cat around, he does have his faults, always keeping what he considers a safe distance between cats due to his dislike of the idea of friends, constantly keeping a stone face even in the face of danger or death, even having a tendency to become vengeful or aggressive if a close acquaintance of him receives an injury of any kind. but along with this comes self control, and although it comes along as very difficult, teaselnose understands the basics of telling from a bad and a good decision.

Skills:
Deciphering (male is alert of certain things, an opponent's next move, a cat's certain mood, etc)
Swimming
Fighting in water

Skills Summary: teaselnose has very keen senses, mainly for smelling and hearing, but this won't be his only strength both in battle or a social gathering. with his astute ability to sense certain things, this also means he can sense one's emotions. no, he can't really just stare at your eyes and immediately figure out what your feeling, but he can easily tell if something's up just by observing you. and being the riverclan cat he is, the light grey tabby is prone to know how to swim, but unlike others, he knows what to do the moment he is in the water. he knows how to use his slick, nearly water proof pelt as an advantage when in water before unveiling his ability to hold his breath underwater for a long period of time. teaselnose would use this during battle. if battling a cat from another clan, he will immediately lead them to the closest stream or deep river, if there is one near by. if not, then he will merely put his claws and teeth to good use. but if he can lead a cat who is not familiar with water near a water source, he will push you into the river. he will then go into the water himself, quickly adjusting to the new environment before his other opponent can, only to suddenly latch his claws onto the other one's head before pushing the cat's head (along with the body) down to the bottom of the river. teaselnose would then use his ability to hold his breath underwater to good use, holding the other down for a long period of time until he himself needed air.

Important Notes: nope.

May post a whole clan later today or tomorrow, just to make sure they all have solid characters and to get suggestions for characters, not so much with naming since the naming is not really normal traditional. It's for a fanfic I'm writing, which is based in a specific place with different stuff than regular traditional, so it's just a modified version. Just a heads up.

Mother queens. I'll tell ya what.

Someone alerted me to the fact that the picture of Smokefoot is in fact a type of tortoiseshell, which I somehow missed. I highly recommend you change it to a regular grey tabby, since males cannot be tortoiseshell.

Anyways! Onto Teaselnose.

Name Type: Traditional
Name Reasoning: While he does have the skills of a -nose cat, the length of detail put into his swimming and water abilities makes me think of -stream, even if he doesn't fish.
Alternate Name: This really depends on you. If you think his skills in the water outweigh/are more useful and notable than his tracking and observational abilities, then use -stream. If the opposite is true, keep -nose. Just note that he should be putting those senses to good use, not just owning them - that's what a suffix entails.

Character Assessment: Why does he remind me so much of Sherlock...
He seems good to go, though I do recommend exploring how this personality disassociates him from both his Clanmates and the code. He has the potential to be immensely interesting, and as he stands he's a solid cat, though falls under the aloof genius archetype. His anger seems a little out of place, but you do say that he's mastered controlling himself, so I don't have a problem with it.
Character Suggestions: Explore what I suggested above, and figure out exactly why he gets so aggressive. Does he just not have the morality to speak calmly and quietly when he wants something? Has he figured out that cool yet angry pressure on someone is supremely effective?

Name: Foxkit (untill further notice)
Description: .
Important Notes: Foxkit is a quiet, simple cat. He likes to prove himself, alot, and indeed is quite the show-off type. He has alot of desires, like to be leader some-day. Other then that, he is a soft, mellow cat. He is also very silent, other's complementing him on his excellent 'hunting skills'. Where you'd normally find him stalking dead prey, or his siblings.
(Not really looking for a wariror name, just

Name: Redpaw
Description: .
Important Notes: Redpaw is a skiddish, stubborn and demanding she-kit. She likes to have everything her way, trying to stay away from tasks she has't to do around her Clan. For skills, she is a very good fighter, mentioning her claws are pretty long. She doesn't have any other skills, but the second best would most likely be hunting. Except blending in is kind of hard, considering they live in a deep forest, where orange is normally not found.

Alright, and sorry, I didn't know about him actually being a tortiseshell, only seeing him as a dark gray cat with patches of lightish grey, sorry for not knowing ):

Once again, thank you for the ways of improving teaselnose, or teaselstream. I'll try and improve him, and I was thinking that in a way, he would be attacked as a kit along with his parents, particularly by a large animal. Despite all three of them coming out alive, maybe teaselnose/stream (a kit at the time though) would have felt betrayed in a manner, that the clan discovered them only after they were attacked and severely injured. Maybe then he'd feel resentful to others, feeling as if they will only backstab him or purposely come too late
