Well, All the wolves with powers can be traced back to the ancient deitys and the forest who sealed away the forest to stop their magic from dieing. (Remeber, the forest has been sealed away from the rest of the world for a very, verrrryyyyy long time :3 )

Maybe they could just an offshoot breed that was more isolated in the forest than everyone else?

I agree with Dracowolf that the introduction of the existence of another pack could be really fun! I just want to make sure it doesn't contradict any important plot stuff that will come into play later!

Would it be ok if you showed us your form and then I could tell you what we would have to change to make it work?

Mutations: Solarins can only have golden pelts of varying shades and hues, though sometimes reds can be found.
Personality: Kind, brave, loyal, noble, quiet, watchful, friendly.
History: My pack's history is so long we'd be here all day! Mine is shorter though. I lived as a pup in my beloved pack, the Solarins, an isolated pack that lived closest to the boarder. When I was 12 moons old, something terrible started happening to my pack, first wolves started to loose there powers and then disappeared. Only I and a few other's survived. Sadly my parents were not among us. When dad died he gave the title of alpha/queen to me and told me to leave this place and go deeper into the ancient forests to where Solarstar the first Solarin and his pack lived. So I led them here, yes I might be too young to be alpha but I always do my best.

Veratrum closed her eyes a moment, taking in the news. It didn't come as a complete surprise but it was a blow non the less. Nayden had feared something like this but she had brushed it off. Sure, there were signs that magic was fading, which was why she had shared her brothers vision with they pack but that it had gone this far, it was almost unthinkable. "I'll admit I did notice the other packs had been quiet of late but I assumed they were just lying low in wake of the turmoil, I never thought-" For once the alpha allowed herself a moment to be taken back by the news. As a fighter and a rebellious youth, she had formed friendships with some wolves of other packs, some of those packs were their allies, though most just stayed out of her pack's way which suited her just fine. Veratrum snapped herself back into focus, turning to Natalia with a fierce look on her face her golden fur heating up. "Your sure? All of them? No survivors? How long ago was this?" She demanded, too fast for them to answer, for a moment forgetting Natalia wasn't just another fighter giving their report, she was already arranging rescue parties in her head to comb through the abandoned camps for anyone left behind. She scanned those closest to her "Harika, Alistair, Ginger, you three go to the packs bordering our territory, I want confirmation of their disappearance and news of any survivors." She barked then turned to address Harika, " if you find any use your best judgment, if you think their trustworthy you have my blessing to offer them sanctuary with us." She told him then flicked her tail to dismiss the three of them. While she trusted what Natalia and Bane were saying, she wanted more than one source to look it over. It was hard letting one of her beta's leave at such a critical time but should any of the packs still exist his status as beta would be a sign this was purely a diplomatic visit. "James, Thunder, and Mara, go out and patrol the territory, make sure to check out hunting grounds and body's of water for signs of intruders, if they are in our territory you'd find signs of them there." She dismissed. "Meeting adjourned, Another pack meeting will be held tonight, sundown!" She called out to everyone before remembering Natalia and Bane were still there. The alpha turned her attention back to them. "I sappose I should thank you for the heads up... I - the pack does appreciate the risk you took. Now, I'd like for you two to give me a full details report of everything you saw but I'm not your alpha so it's not my place to ask that, anyways, you should be on your way, Nayden will escort you to the border." She paused, "I saw the looks on some of my pack member's faces, it seems to some you two still have a place here. Think on that if you ever change your mind, that is if we are still here."

Mara and James are just about to leave camp since they think Thunder can track them, Alstair ran ahead but just came back to regroup and leave with Haraika and Ginger. Natalia and Bane have left the pack territory. I hope that covers most of what you need but if you have any questions just ask! If you want I can make a better recap later if this one isn't helpful!
