» Appearance: Jacques stands at an
impressive 197 centimeters, rather lean and imposing.
His height would be intimidating if his entire demeanour
weren't the opposite. Though his skin is pale, and his
perfectly combed hair is a frosty white, Jacques' eyes
are an unusually warm honey-like amber; a rich golden
colour with sprinkles of chocolate blended in the mix.
Mesmerizing, to say the least.
────────────────────────────────────
“Jacques de Laverre, pleasure to meet you.”
────────────────────────────────────
» Accessories/weapons: His weapon of
choice is concealed as a golden earring that coils around
his right ear, in the shape of a serpentine dragon. Hanging
from it is a pendant of amber, which, with a thought,
transforms into an imperial gold sword. Curved slightly
and embedded with silver embellishments, it radiates
everything but ice and snow and winds.
────────────────────────────────────
“Oh, it’s Jacques with a ‘qu’ and an ‘s’, not a ‘k’.”
────────────────────────────────────
» Powers/abilities: Aerokinesis: Jacques
has the ability to create, control and manipulate the air
and wind in a variety of offensive or defensive ways,
which has also lead to him being presumed to be a son
of Zeus. Cryokinesis: the ability to control and manipulate
frost, ice, snow, and cold temperatures in general, though
Jacques hasn’t yet exactly discovered this ability. Jacques
also has the uncanny quirk of creating small bubbles of
winter climate when he’s angered or excited, which is rare.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────» In-depth personality: On a daily basis, he makes sure both his
appearance and are impeccable. This alone wouldn't be too
damaging, but Jacques has actually managed to carve out a
reputation of being trustworthy, dependable, and a decent person,
which has even more encouraged his quite harmful mindset.
Jacques is, on the inside, incredibly insecure and honestly in a
constantly anxious state. He spends most of his time trying to
think of the best things to say and do, and the rest of it worrying
what those around him think of him. To say the least, Jacques
frequently seems to be a normal camper, yet, when people
actually think about it, almost no one knows anything about him.
His presence is that of a stagnant side character, always existing
but incredibly superficial and, in a sense, mysterious. Oh, and,
I almost forgot- Jacques is quite gullible, and desperately
seeks approval and praise from those he thinks are important,
so could easily be manipulated into blindly agreeing with and
supporting someone proficient enough in the trade.
» In-depth personality: Jacques, at first glance, seems to be
your average, perfect tall guy. Responsible, witty, and pretty
darn dashing, plus an exotic accent and name, Jaques, to most, is
the equivalent of superficial. Since he doesn't ever mention his
backstory nowadays, people assume he doesn't have one. All he is
in the grand scheme of things is the Prince Charming of the story.
Butit's really all lies. His entire childhood, Jacques has learned
one lesson that he lives by- good behaviour equals good
treatment. If he acted like the sadistic, cunning crimelord his
mother wanted him to be, Jacques would be loved. If he didn't,
then he wouldn't. Simple. As a result of this mindset, Jacques is
quite cynical whenever someone is kind to him, though always
hides his true thoughts behind a mask of whatever he believed
the other party needed and wanted from him. His appearance to
others is what matters most to him, and Jacques desperately tries
to please those around him.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── “Hey, dad, whoever you are? Please, like, remember that I exist. The Hermes cabin is getting rather tiresome.”
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────» Backstory: An unofficial custody fight later,
interrupted by the same manticore, ended with Jacques being
whisked across the St Lawrence and into camp Half-Blood. At
camp, Jacques immediately changed from his previously cold
and ruthless persona to his, well, 'usual self',though of course
with many tweakings. Everyone believed he would definitely
be a son of Apollo or Zeus, as Jacques' trademark style is gold,
amber and white, but he has hitherto never been claimed.
Boreas completely forgot his kid existed. Residing in the
Hermes cabin for 9 whole years, Jacques has still managed to
establish himself as 'slightly cooler than the average camper
but not too annoying’, and has gained the trust of most other
campers. But that’s going to change quite a bit in the near
future, I believe..
» Backstory: Born from a rather vile family, Jacques' mother, Livia,
was the sister of an infamous crime lord, based in the infamous
Saint-Jérôme. Apparently Boreas thought that someone who
dealt with illegal trade was incredibly hot (that physically
hurt me to type), and so Jacques came to be. Born out of wedlock,
to an unknown father, and to a very illegal woman, Jacques'
reputation was blemished from the start. For the first years of his
life, Jacques was raised by his mother and uncle, with Boreas never
visiting, all of whom didn't understand the concept of unconditional
love. It was only after an incident at school with a manticore, when
Jacques was 10, that his school's satyr, who he barely knew,
announced that Jacques was to be brought to camp.───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
» Relations:
» Boreas/the North Wind (father) - To this day, Jacques still has no idea who his father is. He’s fairly certain it’s Apollo, but none of the gods have claimed him, even after almost a decade. Woohoo.
» Livia de Laverre (mother) - Jacques and his mother had a rather confusing relationship, and he isn’t entirely sure what to feel about her. At first, she was harsh and cruel, but after he figured out that pleasing her would make their relations warmer (irony intended), Livia started being much nicer, and acted like what Jacques believed a good mother would act like. He previously believed that she did truly love him, until witnessing the few family moments of the other campers, where Jacques realized that Livia was quite a terrible person, and that he’d previously been completely blind to how wrong all the illegal smuggling and dealership his family was so enthralled in.
