it's not difficult to like aldous, but it's a bit more of a task to make h
im like you. a nervous, quiet soul with a streak of creativity and an en
dearingly shy manner, he gives off the aura of someone with somethi
ng important to say when he opens his mouth. he's attached, perhaps
dangerously, to his twin brother, and though normally reserved, if con
an is put in danger, he will fight tooth and nail to protect him. he's loy
al, though seems stuck in the past where conan looks to the future, ha
rping on the fact that 'history does not repeat itself, but it certainly rh
ymes'. a big literature buff (perhaps a result of implicit egotism, given
that he and his brother were named after notorious authors) and fascin
ated with history, ancient and contemporary, filled with fun little facts.

conan is aldous' perfect other side. the future-facing aspect of janus,
he's a natural-born leader, fitting perfectly within the realm of camp j
upiter. strategic, cunning and sometimes militaristic, he's a force to b
e reckoned with, and not someone you want to get on the wrong side
of. confident (though never arrogant), poised and trained in battle, hi
s personality is typical for that of the roman camp. out of conflict, he'
s friendly, outgoing, though inherently distrustful of anyone who isn't
aldous. protective, sometimes bordering on possessive, those who gai
n his favour are opening themselves up to a world where they are look
ed after and treated with the utmost care. a bodyguard by rite, ultim
ately optimistic about the future, with a carefree and laidback streak.
