cool cool! lots of neat characters i see. if anyone wants to discuss potential relationships with my characters, feel free to hmu! i imagine many of the crew members would at least be familiar with one another, and the stowaways as well would probably know one another. i'm open to anything!

also @cocogerber13 - i hope you don't mind, but i liked the way you blocked out the species info on your form so i sorta copied it for my own forms to make them easier to parse ^^'

Yesss I lovee reading through everyone’s forms! The worldbuilding for each character is very cool :D I think I have finished the bulk of my forms but still have a tinyy bit I will try to finish tomorrow. I’ll probably try to figure out relationships after that, but am open to discussing any if anyone is interested! :3

@bigwig. - That is perfectly fine! Your characters are really cool, and I could probably see Francis being very interested in both of them but mostly Kahran as a fellow engineer! Due to the roleplay plot I don’t think they would have quite interacted yet, but that will likely be Francis’ feelings at the start (if that’s ok with you)! I am still trying to figure out Celeste as a character atm as well, but after that is done I would be more open to discussing their relationships :,) So far, they do seem a bit similar to Xa’zzak though, which I could see as a good or bad thing for both of them haha. Maybe it could even be a case of both lol, like there’s comfort in the similarity but it makes them more judgmental if they disagree on something? Not entirely sure, but would love to hear your thoughts!

Species: A unique, genetically and cybernetically enhanced specimen of Canis lupus familiaris
Species Description: Canis lupus familiaris are a species of quadrupeds native to Earth. Domesticated by humans many thousands of years ago, these creatures, known commonly on Earth as 'dogs', typically live closely alongside humans and come in an exceptionally wide range of sizes and appearances for a singular species.
This particular individual has received a number of cybernetic and genetic enhancements courtesy of the bio-mechanical Gekkolanii species. While typically somewhat intelligent, most dogs lack the ability to understand language and many complex concepts; this individual has a cybernetically enhanced brain which has greatly improved its intellect. In addition, it has exceptionally robust health, with an improved immune system, highly efficient metabolism, and regenerative abilities not usually seen in its kind. These improvements have had the perhaps unintended side effect of extending the specimen's lifespan by an indeterminate amount. The specimen is believed to be in the neighborhood of 483 Earth years old, and still in excellent health. It is unknown exactly how long it may be able to live for.
Appearance: At his last physical exam, Niko was measured at 17.1 inches at the shoulder and weighed in at 25.5 pounds. His body is quadrupedal and mostly covered in light orange fur. He has a pointed snout, upright, triangular ears, and a tail which naturally curls over his back (here is a ref of a Finnish spitz for a general reference). As First Officer, he wears a dog vest as a sort of uniform. Affixed to the back of this vest is a heavy pack from which Niko can extend up to three thin, flexible robotic 'arms' affixed with pincers. Though he can function without them, these artificial limbs are useful for tasks which require manual dexterity, which he otherwise lacks.

Personality: Niko is a fun-loving, wisecracking dog with a wry sense of humour and a love for adventure. Typically, he has a rather laid-back attitude, but he certainly would not be First Officer if he were truly lazy. He tends to take things as they come, and is known for being composed under pressure, although he may occasionally crack a joke at a rather inappropriate time. He is playful and outgoing, but can be a bit abrasive sometimes, especially to those who aren't used to his teasing. Despite it all, he knows when to take things seriously and is always reliable in a pinch. Though he can take charge, he doesn't have much of a taste for being a captain himself, preferring to take a secondary role on board the many ships he's worked on. Having been around for quite a long time, he has plenty of stories to tell, and he is quite clever and 'streetwise', as it were. He's learned throughout his long life that it's best to simply 'go with the flow', and have a good time wherever possible.

Bio/History: Many, many years ago, a three-and-a-half-year-old male Finnish Spitz mix was placed into a cryogenic 'cold sleep' pod as part of an experimental test of the emergent technology's use in space travel. The small pod was due to be launched from Earth and received at a human space station within the same solar system. However, the trajectory was miscalculated, and the pod never reached its intended destination. Instead, it drifted out into space for an unknown amount of time, before finally being detected and recovered by the Gekkolanii species near their home planet's third moon. Gekkolanii researchers were fascinated by the specimen within, if unsure of its origins. Their rational but incorrect assessment was that this was a prominent individual on its home planet, perhaps being saved from a dying world or sent out as an ambassador to unknown galaxies.
To the Gekkolanii, biological and technological modifications are not only normal, but considered somewhat of a moral imperative. A stroke of luck for the young dog named Niko, who was bestowed with many of these enhancements, greatly improving his cognition as well as his physical health. He stayed with the Gekkolanii for many years, but found them rather droll, and eventually became a spacefarer - joining up with motley crews of adventurers seeking fortune and glory. Space travel and commerce has grown leaps and bounds since the 'wild west' of those old days, but Niko still enjoys travelling through the stars and has hardly settled down any. He has visited Earth; he was actually present at the Gekkolanii's First Contact with humankind - but he doesn't like to brag. However, he doesn't really consider the planet his home, despite having been born there. He does occasionally visit for some salo, though.

Even though Jezzel is part cat, doesn’t mean she can’t like dogs.

Maybe Aurora could be Jezzel’s friend? Or they could be like really good acquaintances/friendly neutral.

The character list has been updated with everyone - let me know if I've forgotten someone! So many interesting and different characters, I'm excited to see how they play out.

Also, the roleplay has now started! The Sovereign of the Stars has begun her voyage - the crew have already (mostly) been introduced to each other, but still plenty of time to get to know one another properly.
The Stowaway Crew are just beginning to awake.

Let's have the Stowaway Crew find each other first before they wander into the rest of the ship/get found by someone.
