from a young age, yarrowsplash was set on his best friend being his everything;
paleglow was born a moon after he was, and as both of them were only kits to
their parents, they grew close even in the nursery. paleglow was sad when
yarrowsplash became an apprentice before him, so he would always go out of
his way to teach her the things his mentor taught him. once they were both in
the apprentice's den together, everything felt right again. the pair were known
to be attached at the hip, best friends who did everything together, so it was no
surprise to anyone that shortly after becoming warriors, the pair became mates.
while they always wanted to grow their family, it never seemed to work out right
for them; paleglow grew pregnant once when the pair were in their thirties, but
she lost the litter before they were born. they had begun discussing potentially
trying again when paleglow was killed, something that made her death even harder
on yarrowsplash to swallow. while everyone else seems content to believe that her
death was an accident, yarrowsplash has always had his suspicions else-wise.
