personality Aquila is a rare sight within the empire, despite the important part she plays. A reclusive creature, she often keeps herself constantly busy with priestess duties that can all be done within the temple, out of sight. She is entirely devoted to her role of the priestess of Ra, and spends half her time praying alone; if she isn't spending hours on end, praying while looking like a statue, she does her best to consistently do so while working. The spell is only broken when she has conversations, which are few and far between. The lack of sociality isn't out of any bitter intention, or avoidance; she simply doesn't put in the effort to reach out to others, even the other priestesses. However, Aquila would be lying if she said she wasn't lonely. Before she was a priestess, at least 30 moons ago, she used to live as a commoner, and work with her family, a tightly-knit bunch. She has always been on the quiet, more reclusive side, but she misses connection to others. Even the god she will be forced to spend the rest of her life praying to doesn't really connect with her. Deep-down, under the devoted and seemingly emotionless exterior, she is full of a bitter hatred for her life being turned upside down all for the sake of an Empire that can't even touch her. everything is kept under wraps though, with her emotionless, blank outer shell. Despite her physical signs of loyalty, it is hard to hide the empty stare she bares, and the softly blank expression she wears. some may even describe it as flat out sad, others as cold, and some say that that is what pure commitment does to a cat; it numbs them. While no one has made a big effort too push through her slightly creepy shell, if they did they would find a tired, calm and kind fae who is overly-polite and craves a friend, a family, or any kind of connection at all.

x she never got too close with her sister priestesses, and has remained friendly, but not intimately close. The severing of her family connection brought her great loss; she is a lonely cat now, dedicated to her work simply out of requirement rather than pure devotion. Cats in the empire rarely see her, and many never have; she busies herself as much as she can with her priestess duties that can be done within the temple, including plenty of praying.

personality Tarquin has grown to be a very humorous, involved, friendly tom. He is always seen doing something, keeping himself constantly preoccupied. He finds it near impossible to just sit around and do nothing, and is filled to the brim with kit-like energy and enthusiasm. It isn’t an uncommon thing for him to try and go on more than one patrol a day, and even to drift to parts of the empire to lend a helping paw. Tarquin tries to go through life with meaning and purpose, wanting to leave a mark where he once stood. That being said, he does his job to the best of his abilities, being a hard-worker at heart. Given the opportunity, he will give even menial tasks his all. By nature he is a very friendly, welcoming cat, and his open-mind can be viewed as a bit odd to some. Some may even view his optimistic and friendly nature as a sign of a dim mind, but that isn’t necessarily the case. Sure, he isn’t really the smartest but he can be fairly intelligent, and his willingness to try new things makes him a jack of all trades in a way. Highly adaptable, it’s hard to find any real reason to dislike the guy. You don’t have to worry about unwanted small-talk with him, or that weird awkward silence that happens when one of you wants to talk, but no one will initiate. Social skills are Tarquin’s strong suit, so much so that it can almost feel like a strange sixth sense. Many find comfort in his empathetic ways, and will find themselves having a lovely chat with him, even if they’ve never spoken together before.
