━━ [Appearance] ━━
"Small, long-haired silver tabby molly with glaring yellow-green eyes."
A grumpy, gray raincloud, Mirestalk seems to be more fur than cat. She has fainter classic tabby markings marbling her thick coat, with fading white spots on her muzzle, inner ears, paws, and tail-tip. The molly hates getting her paws wet. Her long hair bogs her down in the marshes of her home territory, slowing her down when she swims. It clings to mud and clumps in odd places no matter how often she tries to clean it. She suspects that this disadvantage comes from her absent father--- a father who surely couldn't be a Marshclan cat. With her strong senses of balance and perception, Mirestalk has learned to avoid the worst of the marshes. She knows where to place her paws, treading lightly on the sodden ground. If there were more trees on her territory, she could become an exceptional climber. The molly is much shorter than her brother. She would be lithe if not for her fluff. This petite build allows her to easily slip away into the swamp grass, but also makes her attacks less forceful. Her strengths are in ambush and strategy.
━━ [Personality] ━━
(+) shrewd, perceptive, analytical, fierce, clever
(n) snarky, defiant, only loyal to those she trusts
(-) bitter, pessimistic, judgmental, closed-off, fears abandonment
Mirestalk is outwardly the archetype of a sulky kid. Cynical and sullen, she talks back to authority and stalks off by herself. She quickly discerns the hidden meanings and hushed disdain in others' words. The molly is capable of remarkable subtlety in her own words and actions, but she simply doesn't care. Any hopes of being a proud and productive member of the clan were dashed long ago by the whispers she heard as a kit. No matter what she did, she would never be seen as a true Marshclan warrior. So Mirestalk figured out workarounds. A notorious "dry paw", the sly molly has found ways to do the absolute minimum without getting yelled at by senior warriors. It's no secret that she's miserable here, but someone has to watch out for her brother before he runs head-long into a coyote den. She refuses to abandon the last family she has left. In truth, Mirestalk holds a lot of love in her heart. Rejected by her father, cut down by the judgmental eyes around her, she resorts to judging others and shutting them out before they could do the same to her. Love is dead. But perhaps one day she can find someone who can reach her heart and show her how beautiful love can be.
━━ [History] ━━
Mirekit's first memories were whispers. Pointed stares, pointed words. After no tom came forward to claim Mirekit and Heronkit as his, rumors began to spread that Floodheart’s kits were half-clan. Perhaps the father was a loner, or worse, a Hawkclan cat. Though Floodheart adamantly claimed that her kits would be loyal and true Marshclan cats, she never denied the allegations about their father. Mirekit couldn't understand why. Only as she grew older did she begin to suspect that her mother wanted their father to reveal himself and join Marshclan. Why deny the truth? But as moons passed, it became clear that her father had abandoned this little family. Floodheart withered over time to an incurable illness, passing when Mirepaw and Heronpaw were only 10 moons. Her death was accelerated by a broken heart. Mire loved her mother, but this love was clouded by bitterness and disappointment. She felt that Floodheart didn't hold strong enough to protect her kits from the rumors and keep their family together. Since her death, Mirestalk had no true home. She and her brother were so uncomfortable in the muddy waters, so unwelcome in this cold camp. Mirestalk didn't feel like she belonged in this clan that rejected her from birth. She turns to sarcasm and apathy just to keep afloat.

Important Relations:
- Ashfall is Mirestalk and Heroncall's secret father, but the kits don't know this.
- Silverfur is Mirestalk's secret aunt. She is one of the few cats Mirestalk trusts and looks up to.
- Minkstar saw in Mirekit and Heronkit an idealized version of Minkwhisker and Heronswoop. She hoped to mold these young cats into the perfect pair that she and Kiteswoop never were. But when Mirepaw failed to live up to these expectations, Minkstar began to project the traitorous spirit of her sibling onto her. A slow hatred has begun to develop between the two. Mirestalk feels like she had been cast out and made the scapegoat by the leader of her clan.
- Tigerheart bullied Mirestalk since she was a kit because of the rumors that she was half-clan. She would try to occupy as much of his attention as possible, taunting him any chance she got, so that he would spend less time bullying her brother. Mirestalk was tiny and a poor fighter, so Tigerheart could easily overpower her. Mirestalk is deathly afraid of him but she hides her fear in a smirk.
- Reedwhistle often admonished young Mirepaw for her rudeness and laziness, but Mirepaw kept talking back and acting up. Now the two of them avoid each other, hoping to avoid confrontations if necessary.
- Sleetpaw reminds Mirestalk a lot of her brother, with all his brave misadventures and sweet innocence. She "begrudgingly" goes with him on all his explorations, keeping him safe when he gets into scrapes. He is one of the few clan members she truly cares for.

━━ [Appearance] ━━
"Tall, solid-gray tom with amber eyes and white muzzle, neck, and chest."
Much like the bird he was named after, Heroncall is a gangly, gawky tom covered in gray. His legs stretch out just a little too long, his paws a little too big. And so he ends up tripping over his feet. His height should give him a regal look, but instead he's a vision of awkwardness. Still, he puts in every effort, no matter how uncoordinated. He was a terrible swimmer despite inheriting his mother's sleek pelt, but with constant practice he has become decent in the water. The tom is much more confident on dry land. Fairly muscular like his father, he could fight with explosive power once he learns where to place his paws. He tirelessly continues to try. While his eyes might miss the spots that make him slip, they flare with the fierce yellow-orange of a heron's beak.
━━ [Personality] ━━
(+) hard worker, passionate, genuine, bighearted
(n) dorky, ambitious, eager-to-please
(-) gullible, tactless, loud, rash, clumsy
Subtlety was never a word in Heroncall's vocabulary. He charges into everything without a solid plan, seizing any chance to reach his dreams. This reckless tom and his watchful sister could hardly be more different. He wears his heart on his sleeve, his laughter loud and yowls louder. He leaps on each task with genuine joy. True to his name, Heroncall will always be here, on-call. His eagerness to take on any order may seem excessive, but it perhaps comes from a deep-internalized fear of not being worthy of Marshclan. His father left him, would his clan cast him out too? He drowns out such doubts with extravagant enthusiasm, overcompensates with endless patrols. Without a solid father figure, Heroncall pushes himself to project a stronger, bigger persona. He flirts with all the grace and charm of a screaming seagull. In truth, the tom has no idea how relationships are supposed to work but he dives all-in regardless. A deeply loving cat, he fights with his whole heart to save his clanmates from hurt and despair. Heroncall is beyond a doubt a warrior with something to prove.
━━ [History] ━━
Like his sister, Heronkit was born in Marshclan to Floodheart and an unknown father. Unlike his sister, Heronkit never noticed the gossiping about their missing father growing up. His mother told him that he was a Marshclan cat through and through, and that was enough. Stuffed full of dreams, his head had no room for worry. It was only later, when he noticed the pain that his mother and sister carried, that he began to feel hurt of his own. Not for himself, but for them. Heronpaw did his best to lift his mother's spirits as she slowly wasted away in illness. He tried to speak for all of them when his mother's voice grew weak, when his sister's voice fell silent in bitterness. Floodheart's death devastated him. He plunged deep into his training, promising himself that he'll carry their burdens for them. If he could, Heroncall would take all of Mirestalk's suffering upon himself. But he cannot, so he resorts to doing little things to make her smile.

Important Relations:
- Ashfall is Mirestalk and Heroncall's father, but the kits don't know this.
- Silverfur is Heroncall's secret aunt.
- Heroncall has a forbidden crush on Sunstream, but he's completely unprepared for dealing with these feelings. As much as he loves to spend time with her, he's too scared to take things further. At least for now, he puts his clan first. He doesn't realize how the tensions between their clans have driven Sunstream away. He still wishes that they could stay adventurous friends, just as they had when they were apprentices.
- Minkstar was Heroncall's former mentor. As deputy, Minkwhisker specifically asked for Heronkit as an apprentice. He was a "second chance" for her, an idealized version of the Heronswoop she had lost. Her influence has made him immensely loyal to MarshClan.
- Tigerheart bullied Heroncall and his sister growing up, though he spent most of his time attacking Mirestalk. Heroncall always dragged Mirestalk away before things got too violent. Though Heroncall fears the ruthless warrior, a small part of him respects his fighting strength.
- Sleetpaw is Heroncall's little buddy! They often go on hare-brained adventures together, getting themselves into trouble that only Mirestalk could pull them out of. Sleetpaw can always bring out Heroncall's more kit-like side.
