history. riggs is a secondary name taken from his middle name, though he never really mentions that. instead, he more closely identifies himself as riggs rather than pierre. it didn't used to go that way though. he doesn't really remember his parents. he's locked it away somewhere in the depths of his brain because they gave him away when he was younger, and he's bitter about it. he didn't have a guardian so he was put into an orphanage. after five years of waiting for a parent or grandparent to take him back, he soon came to the conclusion that that wasn't going to happen. since then, he's never been a fan of his true name. eventually he was adopted into the household that was fostering him. riggs developed ill-manners and bad habits, but no one was really at fault for it except himself who didn't work to prevent or fix it. when he finally wanted to stop being who he was, he got help from a therapist and went into anger management classes during his high school years. life at home and within himself has always been turbulent, but he's graduated, moving to thistlewood and becoming a college-student there. meanwhile, he has a part-time job at the local starbucks to keep up some steady income. it's the first time riggs is on his own, away from his family and figuring out things as he goes.
