I really like the idea that they sort of switch between the 'good' and the 'bad' sides
or the couple couldn't decide which side to go to and have to come to a consensus

i like the first idea also. so maybe like.. they use their powers to help both sides? like, for example, shay wants to be good but xander wants to be bad so they decide to meet in the middle. they help both sides, but both sides are oblivious to their side-hopping.

I can see him leaning towards the good side, just because he's more of a gentle-natured person, but it doesn't matter to me; if he had reason he'd be swayed towards the bad side, saying as he'd very opinionated and stubborn with those feelings.
