Kylin is a relative of both the Marvell and Blendy families, his abilities for Sky Dragonslaying and Doll Attack coming from his great grandmothers. He grew up with his parents and younger sister, a wealthy family living in a lavish countryside estate. However, Kylin was never happy and often had disagreements with his parents. They could never get get along. Even his sister though he loved her, was always upsetting him. So, the day he turned eighteen he packed a bag, and throwing it over his shoulder, he left. He hasn't seen any of them since.
Although he is a fairly talented mage, Kylin never honestly had much interest in being a wizard. It was more a family tradition to him than anything. So rather than joining a guild, he searched for a job instead. It took awhile, but eventually he found one, working as a model for Sorcerer Weekly.
Now Kylin has his own, lavish apartment in Magnolia and money to spare. He makes a good living off his job and has a fair amount of say in what he does, mostly because his attitude scares some of the reporters.
One day Kylin might consider joining a guild, but for now he's fine with where he is. He lives alone and his only friend is fellow model Eleria, a short blonde girl with hardly any emotions to speak of. Personality wise Kylin is kind of like a blank slate. He never smiles, never laughs, and never jokes around. Sure, he can fake a sweet smile for the camera, but in real life such a smile, or any smile for that matter would never cross his face. In fact, he's rather sour at times, his eyes almost always narrowed into a glare. He isn't a very pleasant person personality wise, despite his charming appearance, and doesn't really like other people. It's his way or the highway, no exceptions. Either you leave him alone, obey him, or get the hell outta there before he hits you, because for most people those are your only options.

In fact, the fact that he is a Sky Dragonslayer is a complete secret. He hates the type of attention dragonslayers receive and also sees it as a connection to his family, it being a family tradition to learn the art. Though Doll Attack is also a family magic, it's not used nearly as much or held so reverely, so he doesn't mind using that one so much.
Dream Catcher magic is a type of magic he was taught as a child by his nanny, a kind woman who taught him the magic to help with a condition he had as a child. He used to have bad dreams every single night without fail, something which tormented and terrified him, understandably. She taught him the magic as a way to help something he still uses to this day, as if he didn't he would still be having the dreams. Basically, Dream Catcher magic is a power wherein he can sort through a person's dreams, even while awake, and rearrange them. He can take out a nightmare and give them a good dream or do the reverse. Each time he removes a dream it's stored into his bank of dreams and he can later pull it up and give it to someone or himself. When using the magic a giant despatched appears before him and he pulls, detached, and rearrange the strings, each string being a separate dream. Using this, he can rid himself of his nightmares but also inflict terriblenightmsres on other people, something useful during battle, as when giving it to someone he can activate the dream anytime he wants, meaning be can cause an opponent to suddenly begin dreaming of death or demons while still awake.
