Coming in out of nowhere (sorry for not reading any posts previous to this but I thought I might as well share it), there is a Mary-Sue litmus test that people can take to make sure their character is unique. Obviously it's not an absolute thing, but it definitely helps.

Proctors for the two classes will be chosen as soon as proctors are available. We're currently hiring a new proctor, who will take over at least one class.
