He is a kinda sweetie~ but his "owner" is ruining him ATM and it's one of the reasons I left the barn. >.< he's got moon blindness, and he's basically blind in one eye, developing sway back, underweight (she doesn't feed a lot of her horses, they're in a big field but there's no grass at all for the ~35 horses she has in that field). I had to leave, >.< and there's no other barns in my area. My only hope is that I can buy a horse >.<

Aw! Maybe offer to buy him from her?
Or perhaps, contact someone/organization who could help the horses. It's not right to have them and not be able to take care of them all. It's worse than being without an owner. =( some people disappoint me with their ways...

Agreed, the organizations cannot do anything. They have watches on her but they cannot do much. Mainly because they don't have anywhere to quarantine all the horses and such >.<

But I did consider buying him from her but the price I was given (she was going to give me a discount because every barn I go to I have the ability to bond to certain horses and I happened to get a deep bond with this one) his price was too much for all his problems >.< he's gonna be fully blind in about a year, sway back is gonna render him unridable and the last time I rode him he was near unridable because she's been throwing every person on him and over using him so all my training with him basically was lost >.<

I'm just gonna buy a Percheron and be happy xD

Actually... Most people get thrown up on cocoa... He is the easiest to handle at a trot or walk. Holly is too unruly for most people, and rodeo is too old for anyone over my weight basically, but simple terms, anyone over 150 isn't allowed on her. She is super slow until the frosty air and the wind comes, then she is super bouncy. XD it's like she turns into a young foal again. My gma won't let us go faster than a walk with her, only because she is 28, gonna be turning 29 next April 30. I think she should get a nice lope and gallop every once in a while. It'll help streatch her muscles and she won't be half asleep when you ride her. XD would it really be bad to go faster that a trot with her? (Cousin loves to trot. She is about 5/6 years old about around there and rides her most of the time)

Idk XD I've seen people ride 30+ year olds at canters. I guess it depends on the horses shape and health. You know? (: the oldest I've ridden was a 26 year old I believe. But she was a freight train in a horse suit XD she hadn't been ridden in 3 years and no one had washed her in that time either. And I rode her and she just flys down the arena XD

I was riding on an older horse at a previous barn. Giving them a good run every once in a while keeps them young and their muscles flexible. He was a bundle of energy, as they let him caner when being ridden, and he was always joyed to be able to.

My point proven~
So I am not crazy~ I really want to take her for soothing run around where she isn't on a frezzy gallop or racing the other horses. Just a plesent ride around.
Sometimes trying to catch them they all go and canter/lope all around.
I get so unhappy at cocoa. XD he will like go full gallops to get away from being caught, but ride him and want to go faster than a trot, it's like 'nope!' XD trying to chew him out of bad habits... Why must a trail horse be so well trained for trail. XD
Back to Rodeo, she looses a lot of weight every winter. Got her horse blankets to keep her warm. She gets apples and oats in winter as well. Full grass diet, can eat whenever she wants out in the pasture during summer and always has hay for her in winter. So she always has food around for her, but even with cocoa and holly there, I wanna say she is almost homesick... Her old home is just a 10 minute horse ride away. During winter she never wants to be with the other horses at the hale bale. Holly tries to make friends and she chases the poor girl off.

I know a person who owns a 42/45 year old horse. XD

Hey guys! Might seem a bit off topic from our roleplay but I'm curious. How did everyone's Halloween go? xD MIne was fun, I went out with a friend and then with my dad and our dog, and our dog got loose and went into someone's house! LOL.

Did any of you go see your horse friends for Halloween or do anything with them?
