The quest meeting is underway! Here are some highlights/plot
- There was a debate as to whether they should kill Vivienne outright or give her a chance, and it got a bit heated. (Mostly Jamie, Aiden, Teilo, Mira, and a bit of Laurel saying they should give her a chance, while Skylar, Dora, Lucy, and maybe some others doubted that she has/can change, etc.) Chiron put a gentle stop to it, reminding them what he'd said earlier - try to reason with her first, but if that doesn't work, do whatever you must.
- Both Laika and Orin came in with new information - Orin said to check the news (sky news, to be exact) and Laika reported about some attacks on the 100th Nome in Toronto and some mortal cities, and talked about rumours of some large collective shadow creature.
- Chiron quickly got everyone back onto Khione and Vivienne, not wanting to start a panic - focus on what you can control, not the things you can't. He then gently told everyone not interested in attending the quest to leave the dining pavilion; he wanted to get a good sense of who was interested in going.
- Mira stated that their destination is Mount Marcy; and talked about how Aphrodite showed her in a dream. She said it was covered in snow and surrounded by a huge, violent storm, but that they could probably access it via the hiking trails in Lake Placid.
- They are now talking about transportation; ten demigods is a lot on one quest and they're not sure how to go about that. Laurel brought up both Apollo's sun bus and her aunt's van, but the sun bus idea was quickly shot down - i.e. Apollo's gonna need it to raise the sun at some point, and flying is definitely out of the question what with the weather. The van sounded like a better idea (assuming it's one of those 'ten-person party vans' as Mr. D put it earlier lmao), and they're working out logistics - i.e. if Laurel's aunt would be okay with a bunch of teens borrowing her van, how to get it if she says yes, etc. Turns out the aunt lives only a 30 minute walk from camp; there is talk of walking there. Chiron's worried about potential monster-attracting, as well as the fact that monsters have been sighted close to the camp border. He asked if Laurel could Iris message her aunt to check if it was okay first.
