With her parents being prominent mages at the time, Dionne and her siblings were raised to become elders and serve as a good example to society alongside their parents. Her mother and father got into a large argument about whether or not to let Dionne try, which ended with her mother finally agreeing. With only her father as a witness, Dionne managed to perform it correctly. Knowing her mother would obviously tell everyone about her success, she ran far away from her home and did her best to stay hidden. Her father passed away four years later due to an assassin and her mother vanished from the news over time. It has been 50 years since she moved to Uthal (under the name of Clarissa Thorley), joined the coven as an elder, and quietly invented her own comic strip.
