@danicalifornia, hi! so i sometimes base personalities on their looks. the realistic pictures give me enough to work with for their personality and i just add more details to make them a bit unique. or if i dont have a clear personality, then i work with the vibe that i get from them instead. i have more trouble finding the words to describe their personalities than anything, since i have a few ideas laying around in general. if i don't then i try to work with something new instead. i tended to fall back on personalities i could relate with- and not like that's bad, but i personally prefer range :) everyone above gave some really good advice and i totally forgot that personality generators even exist :0 other than that, since it's inspiration you're looking for, maybe consume new media or go back to media you're used to (if you have the time that is) and take aspects/bits of a type of personality you see. i absolutely adore music, so i listen to a few songs and see which one(s) match or could work with the characters i'm trying to build and take inspiration from the lyrics sorry if this was a lot ;w; i like giving advice when asked

ohhh i could definitely see viper and lynx working almost as sisters. i think viper would be a bit less cold with lynx of course because of their life long friendship. i think she would definitely go to lynx for support on her really down days? like she wouldn't say anything but she would possibly hang around lynx a little more than she normally would? unless you think lynx would find that annoying?

Viper is open for friends and enemies? if anyone is willing to play her ex mate it would be interesting? would be interesting to have had him (her ex-mate) run away to be a rainclan cat instead of remaining a rouge? image those awkward encounters in fights aha! would honestly love to make a new mate for whoever makes vipers ex, would be fun? just at me or dm if you want!

ALSO, IMPORTANT:
some people may be confused when it comes to roleplaying with non-binary characters. These characters use they/them pronouns, which means you should NOT use he/him, she/her when referring to them UNLESS they use she/them or he/them.

correct ex: "I ran up to (insert name here) and said hello, they were very happy to see me"
incorrect: "I ran up to (insert name here) and said hello, she was very happy to see me"

I'm actually planning on having Frost change to RainClan due to border mate stuff, it would be cool if her and Viper were enemies that made a truce in order to run away to RainClan together, eventually becoming friends?

viper can't really run away to rainclan as she is second in command for the rouges. however it would be interesting, to have them possibly bump into each other a lot on walks when frost does runaway to rainclan? would be interesting to have possibly had the two be friends as apprentices and warriors before viper lost her family and became a cold feline. perhaps viper pushed frost away so the two fell out, becoming enemies when frost betrays the rouges? then they rekindle a bit of their friendship??

no worries! i was in a bit of a rush so may not have mad it 100% clear! sorry! i'm totally down for that! it would definitely be interesting! she would want to know that the clan was treating her old friend well! even if she doesn't let on to frost at first.

yes haha! she would probably be eyeing frost up and down all the time, checking for any signs of discomfort or scars and probably pinning her ears back if she sees any cut haha! would be sweet! i think deep-down inside she would be interested in clan life? although she hates the clan, she would also be interested in their style of like, like what attached frost and her own mate to join the clan you know? imma have to write this down! also.....would you be looking for a mate for frost? i think i may have a tom would like would be kinda sweet around her? i havent got him up yet but?

@A m n e s i a - I feel like he would be even more ashamed and scared of disappointing his mother, so he definitely would steer clear of telling her, though he would constantly wonder how she would react if he did confide in her.. but the thought of detective grandma trying to figure it out anyway? genius haha

@Lian - What would you think about a forbidden crush development between Thistle and Dizzy? I feel like she's so used to her brother having the same sort of tough exterior that Thistle wouldn't throw her off at all, and I think it would be an interesting dynamic of him fully expecting her to be the opposite of the kind of cat that would be interested, but finding out they fit better than either first thought? Like, I could see her suddenly developing feelings in a friendship if his tough exterior slips a bit and reveals a softer side of him that she didn't know existed, and refusing to see him as only the walls he puts up after that - bonus points for the fun confusion of medicine cat relationships lol -- If you're interested in that idea!
