Apparently a wooden building doesn't have a lot of metal structures... Reese, I love you, but please yeet off to the medical tent or something
In other news, I will probably not be posting tonight, so @indigo.rain or @superocelot, if you need to get them out of the building before my next post, just, drag Hank.

General Information
Full name: Wilhelm Ramsey Wattson
Nickname: Will
Gender/Pronouns: Male (he/him)
Age: 18
Birthday: May 18th
Sexuality: Homosexual
Camp Information
Godly Parent: Hephaestus
Claimed?: Yes
Cabin: Cabin 9
Number of Beads on Necklace: 4
Weapon(s):
βΈ a stocky, double-barrelled shotgun given to him on his 18th birthday. the weapon is one from his mother's manufacturing line, except that Hephaestus himself had a hand in its creation. it is designed to be fired from the hip and both bullets expended simultaneously, dealing devastating damage at close range. the weapon is equipped with a set of celestial bronze bullets, which regenerate a few seconds after the gun is opened to be reloaded. Will has yet to give the weapon a name, but it has the company logo engraved onto its receiver.
Powers:
βΈ skilled metalworker - as one would expect, Will, like many of his other siblings, is a phenomenal craftsman. his talent for creating all kinds of metallic wonders makes him a go-to for campers when their weapons break, horses need shoeing, or armor needs repair. each of his creations has its own touch of magic to it, and he can create near-perfect items even when given a very short window to do so.
βΈ mechanical intuition - one of the primary abilities children of Hephaestus are blessed with, Will can intuitively understand operate any kind of machine at any level of technology with minimal effort, as well as understand how they are constructed. by extension, this gives him the ability to create just about anything with nothing but scraps.
βΈ techno-empathy - in a sense, Will is capable of understanding how machines, and by lesser extension, magical weapons and armors, are feeling at any given time. he can use this ability to sense faults in machines, leading to quick and easy repairs.
βΈ limited pyrokinesis - also stemming from his divine blood, Will is capable of creating and manipulating fire. his skill with this ability is essentially restricted to lighting small flames in his palms or fingertips, which he often uses to light campfires, candles, or most often, his own cigarettes. he is also completely immune to fire because of this and suffers no ill effects from his smoking habit.
Physical Description
Wilhelm towers over just about everyone he meets, standing at 6'7 (2.0 m) and weighing 295 lbs (133.8 kg). As you would imagine, he is stocky and broad-shouldered with a burly gut. He has well-defined cheekbones, a small, pointed nose, a slightly rounded chin, and eyes that are a muted grey. Will's hair is long and golden blonde, which more often than not is tied up in either a ponytail or a bun so that it doesn't interfere with his forge work. He tans well and often is bronze-skinned in the summer.
Will has plenty of scars, none of which are particularly notable. Just stripes of discolored skin here and there from his time spent working with metal and lingering hindrances from broken bones long since healed, usually from heavy lifting.
While Will isn't notably picky about what he wears, he's rather partial to flannel shirts and jeans, though the sleeves are almost always rolled up, even in the more wintry months. He almost always wears steel-toed boots as well.

Personality
More of the quiet, silent listener type, Wilhelm keeps to himself to the most part. He isn't inherently unfriendly, it's just rare he initiates a conversation first. He's soft-spoken and compassionate to those around him, and he's always more than happy to do favors for his fellow campers, but he generally doesn't want anything in return and most often will refuse offers outright. Will is hardworking and practical, and he's always looking for ways to improve his skills in the forge. As one can imagine from this gentle giant, Wilhelm doesn't have much fire for camp events, and he's rather non-competitive in general. Despite his usually restrained nature, he's incredibly hard-headed. He doesn't back away from his beliefs, and although he's never the one to instigate a fight, he will always finish one. He's not afraid to speak his mind and thus comes across as incredibly blunt, and sometimes insensitive when others are hurting. Many of the other campers tell him his fire and passion for battle comes when he finds the right weapon for him. And so far, he's yet to find it.
Likes: bonfires, doing favors for people (especially without being asked first), taxidermy
Dislikes: confrontation, swords, perfume
Fears: how his demigod heritage may affect his family, notably his little sister. it's his job to protect them from the monsters since it's his blood they follow
Fatal flaw: Wilhelm is extremely stubborn, even more so than a majority of the Ares cabin. While he never shouts or grows angry during these debates, he refuses to compromise on anything. It's great in battles, but it makes him especially difficult to work with anywhere else. Essentially "my way or the highway."
Background:
For about the first half of his life, Wilhelm grew up with just his mother, Diane. She was an independent woman who came from a family of mechanics but decided to strike out on her own and pursue a passion for gunsmithing, which is what drew the eye of the blacksmithing god. Will was born and raised in the town of Goodrich, a small suburb outside of the much larger Livingston, Texas. His mother based her company, Wattson Gunworks, in Livingston, but it wasn't a smooth journey. With the added expense of a son, Diane could hardly keep her fledgling business afloat. Their expenses stretched them paycheck to paycheck, and she picked up a second job to make ends meet, but it only ate into her time better spent filling orders for clients. On the brink of bankruptcy, Diane sold half her business and partnered with a man named John Branson. He was a brilliant business major with a soft spot for mom & pop companies, and he helped her pull Wattson Gunworks out of the ground. Wilhelm grew to know John well, and this positive relationship made him receptive when the business relationship between Diane and John resulted in their marriage. Two years later, Will was the big brother to a mortal half-sister, named Emma. Admittedly, the truth of Wilhelm's blood definitely came as a shock, especially when John discovered it after one of Will's classmates was shot during a hunter's safety class and completely unharmed. The classmate proceeded to go on a rampage, revealing its true nature as a Laistrygonian Giant. Since then, Will was guided by his school's resident satyr to Camp Half-Blood, where he's since spent his summers. The past three years have been demanding, however, as he's passed on his visits to the demigod camp in order to take care of his sister and help manage Wattson Gunworks.
Personal Relationships: γpos βγγneu βγγneg βγγfriend β©γγbest friend β
γγlove int. β‘γγenemy βγβΈJamie [β]
As first impressions go, Jamie is a good egg in Will's books.
He's just a little inexperienced is all, especially when it
comes to understanding his weapon. Still, he has a good
heart and he's willing to learn, and Wilhelm thinks he'll
grow in that aspect during the quest. Like Aiden, he hopes
Jamie will make it back in one piece.
βΈLucy [β]
As difficult as it may be, Wilhelm tries to give Lucy the
benefit of the doubt whenever he can, despite knowing
the kind of tendencies she has. He doesn't think she's
entirely "evil" to put it simply, but she just doesn't get
how severe the impacts of her actions can be. Will tries
to do what he can to work with her, but he's not clueless
enough to fall for her manipulations.
βΈDahlia [β]
Like her sister, Dahlia stopped by the forges every so often
for the company of the people down there, though hers
was out of curiosity on the topic of weapon crafting. Will
was more than happy to teach her what he knew when he
was at camp, and if Dahlia's still there, he'd be thrilled to
show her how much he's improved while at home.
βΈAsh [β]
Although Will has met Ash in passing, he knows very little
about him besides his soft chatter about the games he
tends to play. Ash has never approached him about the
topic, and Will knows very little about it anyway. As
such, they rarely talked and he probably wouldn't
recognize him unless they were introduced.
βΈJack [β]
If not for Will's impromptu homestay, he and Jack would
have been at Camp Half-Blood for the same amount of
time. Still, given their similarities, they naturally got
along. Wilhelm considered him a friend, and he still
has many fond memories, so he hopes Jack is still the
same, happy guy he was three years before.
βΈEmmie [β]
The electric daughter of Zeus is one of the few faces Will
remembers clearly from before his break from camp.
Her bubbly attitude is almost infectious, and he finds
her incredibly easy to talk to, which can't be said for
too many others.
βΈCaleb [β]
From what he recalls, Caleb was one of his better camp pals.
They both spent a fair amount of time in the forges, Caleb
tinkering with little creations while Will made enchanted
weapons or armors for fellow campers. Although Will wasn't
much of a tinkerer himself, he often ran ideas by Caleb to
see how much they made from an outside perspective.
beyond their relationship in the forges, Aiden and Caleb got
along quite well, and as a result Wilhelm was also close to
Caleb.
βΈOphelia [β]
Will doesn't have a particularly strong opinion about the
daughter of Aphrodite, only because he doesn't know a
whole lot about her. She and Will see each other every
so often when she stops by the forge for repairs, but
they don't talk much casually.
βΈReese [β]
Most of their interactions are when Will has been sent to the
infirmary for one reason or another, and he has a pretty
positive opinion of Reese because of how often he tends
to his injuries. Will isn't the biggest fan of Reese's insistence
on him to tone his habits down a notch or two, but he knows
the Hades camper means well.
βΈAggy [β]
Will feels a little guilty that he comes across so strongly to
new campers, and Aggy is no exception. He scared her at
first, and if she's willing, he absolutely will try to make
amends, regardless of who her godly parent ends up being.
βΈJuliet [β]
Strangely, Will is mildly awestruck by Juliet as a chaotic
force of nature. Although he himself isn't a prankster,
he's pretty inspired by her reputation and how everyone
knows her by name, or at least by her accomplishments.
βΈTeilo [β]
As a mutual friend of Aiden, as well as the stories (or tall
tales) that his Athena friend spun about the child of
Thanatos, Will feels pretty confident that he'd like Teilo.
He won't get the chance to meet him before the quest
takes its course, but the most he can ask is that Teilo
comes back with everyone else.
βΈAurelia [β]
Wilhelm only knew Aurelia for one year, and he doesn't
remember anything exceptional about her. All the
Aphrodite campers kind of blur together for him, but
he wouldn't mind getting to know her if she stopped by.
βΈKathryn [β]
Again, not really a face Wilhelm is familiar with. Her
image is definitely recognizable by her choice of outfit,
but he doesn't know her particularly well.
Cabinmates
βΈHephaestus [β]
Unlike most demigods, Wilhelm is on pretty good terms
with his divine blooded father. He wasn't a major player
in his life, but there were instances here and there
where Hephaestus did help keep his family afloat,
especially through his mother's roughest patches.
Plus, he can't thank his father enough for his most
recent gift.

Other Parties
βΈVivienne [β]
Will didn't see Audra's death firsthand, but he felt the
aftermath of it just as much as the rest of camp. He didn't
need amokinesis to feel the pain that Vivienne felt, but he
didn't have the words to comfort her. Instead, he left her
a gift to remember Audra by, but he didn't push her
boundaries any further. He wants the best for Vivienne,
in spite of all that has happened.
βΈChiron [β]
Will appreciates Chiron not forcing him to participate in the
camp events during the time he was there, and in exchange
he did numerous repairs to weapons, armor, and buildings
around camp when maintenance was due. He felt most at
home in the forge, and Chiron seemed to understand that
βΈDionysus [β]
Wilhelm won't deny that he's continually impressed by the
god of wine, but then again, Dionysus is just about the only
god Will has ever met, besides his father once. His aura
alone is flattering, but beyond respecting him as a divine
being, Will doesn't feel one way or another about him.
βΈDante [β]
Besides that he's a member of the Apollo cabin, Will doesn't
recall much about Dante. In fact, it's doubtful he'll even
recognize the former head counselor.
βΈFelix [β]
Similar to Dante, Felix isn't a name Will recalls too clearly.
The name rings a bell or two, but whenever it comes to
hearing about Felix's time working on his own in the
outside world, that's news to him.
βΈChuck [β]
Like all the rest of the satyrs, Will doesn't know Chuck by
name, only by his nasty habit of eating pieces of scrap
metal. Aiden speaks highly of him, however, so Will
takes his word for it.
βΈLaika [β]
Funnily enough, Wilhelm is slightly intimidated by Laika
because she's so loud. If she says jump, Will does so
without question. The only time this goes out the
window is when Will is already occupied. Lieutenant
of Artemis or not, if he's busy she can find someone
else to bark orders at.
Senior Counsel
βΈOrin [β]
Orin is a certainly a character. Wilhelm finds himself equal
parts intimidated and in awe of the child of Zeus, simply
because of how confident he is. He doubts that even if he
wanted to forget Orin, he made too big of a first impression
that Will could always pick him out in a crowd.
βΈAuggie [β]
She may mean well, but Wilhelm isn't too fond of Auggie
just because of how harsh she comes across as. She's rude
and snappish, and her tendency to cut Will off when he's
trying to explain something to her has led to him just
usually keeping quiet while she's around. He hasn't seen
her since he left, so he's still willing to give her another
chance if she wants to make amends.
βΈDelilah [β]
Will appreciates that Delilah takes the time out of her
day to see how he's doing, and although he may not
remember the face, her actions went a long way in
making him feel included in camp activities.
βΈHu [β]
Like Emmie, Will is fond of Hu's constant chatter. She's
got a soft spot for history, and her ability to go on about it
for hours on end gives him something to listen to while
he works. He isn't too familiar with the nicknames she
gives him, but he doesn't mind them at all.
βΈHank [β]
Neither of them honestly can remember who the other is,
no matter how hard either of them tries. The name is
trapped on the tip of their tongues.
βΈMirabelle [β
]
Mira quickly became one of Will's good camp friends due to
her social butterfly nature. She was always happy to strike
up a conversation with Wilhelm, whether it be at the forges,
during the campfires, or in the woods for the nightly war
games. As such, he values her advice and expertise and goes
out of his way to make her day.
βΈCass [β]
Like most other campers, Will doesn't know Cass very well.
While Aiden speaks very highly of her as a fellow head
counselor, Will personally hasn't interacted with her often
enough to form an opinion.
βΈAiden [β
]
Probably the most memorable face from Camp Half-Blood,
Aiden was constantly on Will's mind while they were apart.
They were quick to become friends Will's first year at camp,
and they ended up with a special bond following Audra's death.
It tore Aiden apart, and that event is what solidified his role
as a "big brother" to the future Athena counselor. The two
were nigh inseparable, and Will was the one person Aiden
shared his internal struggles with. Wilhelm is immensely
worried about the outcome of the quest, and the most he
can do is pray that his best friend will make it home.
