@Wyverncult ahaha i just didn't want it to seem like i'm commandeering the rp or anything since i keep making up details. i think i just saw the gif of yellow maple leaves on the front page and so had that image in my mind, plus it fit better with his brooding :')

@bigwig. au contraire, i hope i'm not leaving too many details vague! i'll happily write some more details so that people can have more solid foundations to work with, but the only actual boundaries of the RP are what's stated in the introductory post (ie. time of year, weather, general scenery + inability to leave). no commandeering or godmodding's been done on anyone's part ^^

so, smaller farms can be on the outskirts/just inside town but any larger ones would most likely be further out. i figure that one edge of the town has denser woods while another end is where the trees begin to thin, outside of the thinner treeline would be where those farms congregate. of course, you're allowed to make exceptions to this rule, like a clearing in the woods that could've been man-made for example


on the front page i can work the general scenery + other potentially interesting scenery/waymarks nearby over the next months if anyone's interested but in the meantime questions are always fine! ^^ either way i don't want to stifle anyone's creativity and even my own personal concept has been changing in response to how everyone else is playing so please have fun :]

in the future i do want to introduce events that change in the cycles mentioned in the poll just to keep things interesting. i'll provide warnings for those though so that people won't be caught offguard :P

Keenan's parents I think I have as a crop farm. Would that have to be bigger, or could it be a smaller one?
I'd consider Noel's medium or maybe large, since he has a cow barn, a horse barn and the coop plus the family's house and the land.

confetti is surprisingly lanky for his species. most caribbean reef squids tend to be shorter on average, however, confetti stands at the height of 5'7" - with most of his height being in his long legs. confetti has a generally narrow facial structure, with long, pointy ears that droop at the ends. they're notably larger than most of his species, to the point of looking comical.

confetti's front tentacles are cut just past his shoulders, with his back tentacles being overgrown and slightly curled upward- his hair is styled into bangs with his natural ink-color being a dark pink, fading into purple. the spots on his tentacles are a light blue and glow in the dark. as an inkfish, he can change the color of his ink- which will also change the color of his tentacles. his ink color, along with the patterns on his tentacles, typically change under intense emotion.

confetti dresses in an androgynous fashion, while having a preference towards a preppy style. he most commonly wears some sort of iridescent accessory on him, which has lead to iridescent colors being frequently associated with him.

personality:

confetti odoru is an ambiverted inkling, with his preferences fluctuating dependent on the day. some days, he acts like an extroverted party animal. on other days, he acts more socially reclusive and would prefer not to talk very much. unlike most inklings, confetti finds it harder to let loose due to an uptight and fickle nature. confetti is easily made tense and has a tendency to over-react and blow things out of proportion. he prefers things to be consistent and orderly, and is prone to getting frustrated when things are disorderly or hectic.

despite his negatives, confetti enjoys spending time with the people that he holds closely and is incredibly family-oriented. he is attentive to other peoples emotions and will usually make attempts to comfort them when he notices that they are feeling low. although his complaints might seem nitpicky at times, he genuinely cares for the well-being of others and comes from a place of concern. though, sometimes this is out of concern for how they look and how people perceive them. he is hardworking and tries his best to be helpful to an almost nurturing point, he is happy when others are happy, thus preferring to carry the baggage of work for them.

confetti tries his hardest to be level-headed, and although he is dramatic at times, confetti is hardly aggressive with others. however, this doesn't come from emotional maturity and more-so a recognition of the consequences of his actions. confetti is very easily peeved, and if he were to let his temper loose, it would have an explosive affect on his personal life.

although confetti has social tendencies, he only holds a few people close to him out of time. confetti cannot fully commit to most friendships and frequently falls out of touch with the people he befriends, typically only a few months after he had first met them. confetti is terrified of long-term commitment, especially when it comes to romantic relationships. he has a habit of running away from his problems, and will sometimes accidentally ghost people- especially when he realizes that they are interested in him romantically. this is partially caused by his strained relationship with his mother growing up as well as being cut off from his closest friend back in highschool, because of the fact that he had developed a crush on him.

confetti was born and raised in splatsville, nicknamed the 'city of chaos', confetti grew up with parents who were financially well off. his father was a music producer and dj, while his mother was a fashion designer and personal stylist. growing up, confetti had a good relationship with his father, but a complicated relationship with his mother, who struggled to attach herself to confetti whilst being busy. because of this, confetti was primarily raised by his father, who was passive to the point of hardly scolding his son.

in highschool, confetti was troubled and associated himself with the wrong people, while also being bullied himself. because of this, he had a reputation for being a generally aggressive and mean person. eventually, he was expelled for attacking one of his ex friends, who had betrayed him earlier that year. this had extreme consequences on his personal life, which eventually caused him to have a fit and run off to live on his own- cutting off his parents.

ever since he had been expelled, he has been working to improve himself and put his life back together, which included himself recently getting back in contact with his parents and repairing the strained bond he had with them. however, he has recently found that his life has been flipped upside down- considering the fact that he is suddenly in an entirely unfamiliar environment with seemingly no way to leave.

other information:

confetti's abilities are those most commonly found in his species- most notably, the ability to turn into a squid and swim through any ink that matches his ink color. however, because inklings and octolings alike have evolved to easily transform from humanoid to cephalopod, confetti's primary weakness is the fact that submersion into water will splat him. although he is able to regenerate upon being splatted, with the help of respawning devices, if there isn't any nearby respawners- he will straight-up just die.

additionally, he wields a pair of dapple dualies- which he shoots ink out of. his ink doesn't have any affect on those who aren't inkfish, other than the pressure of impact. to someone like, a human, it'd feel more like getting shot by a watergun. despite most commonly wielding his dualies, he is more skilled with and prefers to use roller class weapons. he was formerly a skilled player of the dynamo roller, but has resorted to using a big swig roller in recent times.

confetti dreams of becoming a music producer or dancer. for a while, confetti used to regularly take dance classes- making it a skill he is relatively good at! his favorite genre of music is pop music, and he is a gigantic fan of the squid sisters.

Appearance: Tall, semi-muscular, long-haired blonde, with glasses and bright cyan eyes. Two angel-like wings, with one black and one white, able to show and hide them.

Fandom: Final Fantasy
Occupation: Warrior, Soldier
Personality: He has the typical Sephiroth nature. He is usually kind, but he acts very cold and doesn't show much emotion, and it is hard to say what he thinks. He is hard-working and clever, but he is a little bit competitive and doesn't accept loss.
Background: He is a twin clone brother with Sephirus, made by Professor Hojo who wanted to rebirth his fallen master President Shinra, but his body was not found. He decided to create a clone where he used President Shinras sons DNA with his masterpiece Sephiroth's DNA, creating a clone of Sephiroth mixed with Lazard's DNA.
Other information: Swordmanship, guns and flying.

Personality: He is more of a calmer nature, but seriously you don't want to anger him as he is very hot-tempered and long-hated, sultry. He is also hard-working, fast learning, and clever with thinking. He likes to take a little bit of a boss role, which may annoy others including his twin brother Lazaroth.
Background: He is a twin clone brother with Lazaroth, made by Professor Hojo, who created a clone of Sephiroth mixed with Rufus DNA.
Other information: Swordmanship, able to use guns too
