the prefix heron- is for her silver and white tabby pelt, while her suffix -paw represents
her apprenticeship. heronpaw is tiny and agile in build but has slight stocky legs that
make her appear even smaller, her eyes are a lovely shade of green. the tiny appren-
tice has always been a passionate and fiery she-cat and has been reaching for the rank
of medicine cat since before she can remember. she's a hard worker and has always
been focused on her goals. the night of the fire, heronpaw had been woken by her
older mentor, yewheart, who had been yelling at her to grab as many herbs as she could
carry and run to safety - while also coughing from the fire's smoke. heronpaw had list-
ened and quickly grabbed more then she could handle before quickly leaving camp, after
safely hiding the herbs away from the fire's range, the head-strong apprentice ran back to
camp for her elderly mentor who was trying to help as many cats as possible escape - but
the old tom had grown weak with the smoke in his lungs. heronpaw had been about to
reach him to help him escape, when a burning tree fell on top of him; a thick burning
branch had trapped the she-cat as well, letting the flames lick at the right side of her face
and neck. when she had finally been able to escape the flames, the pain filled cat had
stumbled out of camp as quickly as she could and away from the heat. after getting as far
as she could she had passed out from the adrenaline and pain. when she woke next she
quickly noticed her loss of sight in her right eye and the increasing deafness in her ear.
ever since she has become very anxious and jumpy, especially if you suddenly appear from
her right side. she's more timid then ever and puts the blame of yewheart's death on her.

mink- for his thick dark brown fur and little white muzzle; then the suffix -fang for his above
average skill levels. minkfang is a large muscular warrior with a intimidating bulky build, his
eyes are a dull gold in color and don't really stand out any. he's a very proud tom with a
tough streak that can scare off some cats - even when he was an apprentice. he's always been
rather aloof and the only cat to ever try really getting close to him was yellowflower, then
yellowpaw. at first minkfang had tried pushing the younger she-cat away and did everything
to scare her off but none of it ever seemed to work. eventually minkfang caved to her friendly
charming ways and let the she-cat in. the two became close rather quickly, a surprise to the
clan to see the cold hearted tom getting cozy with the pretty cheerful she-cat. but the two
worked well and were a force to be reckoned with. several moons after their warrior naming
ceremony, yellowflower found herself in the nursery with their first litter of kits. minkfang
was, oddly enough, the happiest tom in the clan for moons to come as they raised their little
happy family together. minkfang was never really thought of again as the cold and angry cat
he had once been and was getting on with clan life easily - watching his kits grow. now in the
present yellowfang had been pregnant with their second litter when the fire struck. minkfang
lost his mate to the flames along with their unborn kits. he has become angry and aloof, just
as before though now with a strong impulsive and vindictive side. though he still cares deeply
- especially for his kits.
