But for example one time I was rping with someone, and I guess I made my reply too long, because they told me I was writing too much. x'D I've been careful ever since. lol!

edit-- Also I think sometimes I have a problem with my posts being rambley. (Probably being over critical but oh well xD)

I think that long is good, because you're able to convey more thoughts and just go with the flow.
I can have the same problem with monologue posts as well, haha!

With the way the forums on CS are set up, to me it feels like a waste of a post if you only write a couple sentences. It's gotten to a point where I just don't write any less than a paragraph unless my brain is stuck behind a wall or something. I usually stick to a paragraph though, just because I don't want to move too far ahead without the other person's okay. But if you give me a wall, I can give a wall back.
