small gargoyle in his likeness was commissioned, to
protect both the soul of the child and those lost
before. However, it seemed as if the spirits had given
life to the gargoyle boy, the mother overjoyed, the
father a little suspicious, however they decided to
raise the boy nonetheless, with his middle name
being the one of the lost boy.
Some members of their village spread a rumour, that
the gargoyle child was brought to life by a chort
(devil), and to give Cecyl a chance, at the age of
five, he was taken to the woods to be taken in by the
leszonek, and the parents would return with the lie
his life had been taken. At twelve, he would sneak a
return to his old village, and would make the most of
his secret visits to his parents. However, upon one
visit, his father betrayed him, over the years falling
to the belief Cecyl was a trick from a chort, and he
was attacked by the village, losing his wings in the
process. His mother was lost to the crossfire before
the leszonek of the forest reached them, and took
out the antagonising people, leaving those who did
not harm him alive.
Cecyl had no reason to remain, and returned to the
woods. And a few years later, came across an indiv-
dual he had never encountered before. He can't
remember it clearly how it happened, but all he
knows now is he's somewhere different entirely, and
he might as well make the most of it, at the least.

Inquisitive and endlessly fascinated, Cecyl is often elusive until he decides the
nearby individual is interesting enough. When trust is earned, he is incredibly
friendly and bubbly. While this is his most commonly appearing trait, and a
large factor of his nature, he is capable of being deeply introspective and caring
the moment someone is upset and in need of support, of course based on his
judgement of moral of the individual. Even though he has been chased by people
over their infected superstition, he is still willing to see the best in people if they
provide a decent first impression. With his closest friends he can be incredibly
affectionate and is generally a massive light-hearted jokester.
First impressions are something important to him, dictating by minor cues many
factors of someone's character, and if it is a negative outcome, it can be difficult
to build a trust that goes beyond his bias. He is also at time prideful to a fault and
reckless.
Cecyl is a gargoyle with the mechanism of them being a protector of souls, based
on the fact church gargoyles are protectors of churches and those within. However
he is made in a more pagan perspective, (which, fun fact, aligns with an aspect of
the gargoyles being made to entice pagans to feel more comfortable attending
church!) and in this case he is more catered to having a protective nature to those
he feels close to. He is a pre-existing oc with his own personal canon, but I have
adapted him to fit the rp, hope that's alright!
