The pit bull mix was lovingly named Reese's Puff by the 6 year old girl, Lucy, that was the center of her world. They did everything together, which included getting into all sorts of trouble. Her and Lucy would steal treats from the pantry or string the toilet paper across the house until the roll was empty. Life was good. But when her family moved into a new home that didn't allow pets, they were separated. Reese was sent to live with a friend of the family for the time being, but to her it was the end of the world. Without a second thought she was squeezing herself out of the doggy door and digging under the fence to go be reunited with her true family. She soon realized the world was much bigger and more complex, and Reese was lost. Now she's been living on the streets for a year, giving up all hope ever being reunited with her family. With Lucy. On a typical day Reese was chasing alley cats or digging through garbage for fun, but today she had been tempted by strangers with food. Food that made her groggy, made her limbs feel like lead. Before she knew it she was out cold.
