Annabelle has heard the mermaids sing. And she survived. When she was nine years old, she was on a cruise ship with her parents. Out of nowhere, Annabelle heard music unlike anything she'd ever heard before. She jumped into the water with the others, completely entranced. She began to drown, but the mermaid enchanting her felt guilty, and brought her to the surface to breathe. She saved Annabelle, carrying her to shore. Annabelle grew up an orphan, struggling to get someone to believe that mermaids were real. She was in and out of mental institutions and suffered from severe depression. Now as an adult, she's determined to catch a mermaid and prove to the world that they exist.

Personality

Annabelle is guarded, highstrung, and enthusiastic. When she falls, she falls hard. She comes on strong, yet hides her secrets until someone knows her well. She can be a piece of work, but if you have the patience to work with her and calm her down, she can be a reasonable and enjoyable person to be around.

((uhh...yeah Annabelle happened. XD anyone can be the mermaid who saved her...I was thinking the Reef Tribe, so she could interact with Sam?))

I'd have Ekene talk to Augustina, because Ekene certainly knew her, but honestly...Ekene doesn't care about her. Not in a rude way. If they were friends, Ekene probably was devastated she changed back, but lashed out at Augustina because of it. She probably refused to see her at all for a while, and now she just snaps that it's against the timahk. Deep down, she misses Augustina, but doesn't want anyone to know.

Nah, I sorta figured that out while I was typing it. I mean, she and Ekene were in the same area, around the same time. There's no doubt they knew each other.
