Horace Crane | 25 | Male | 2nd Year Autumn Student

Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: Horace has short light brown hair and green eyes. He holds a formal posture and stands at 6'1''. He has an athletic build, and ever so slightly tanned skin with no specific scars or markings.

Personality: Spiteful and hating is what Horace is on the inside, however he masks it with a friendly persona which he uses to befriend others, if he so chooses. He especially uses this when it comes to the tutors and the heads, ensuring that he's in their good books. He is a hard worker, but only in areas that he deems 'important', choosing to do mediocre work if he doesn't. If he doesn't like someone, he doesn't hide it, unless of course there's someone around he wants to keep his friendly persona in front of. He's quite charismatic as well, at least when being nice.

Bio: Horace had quite the poor upbringing. His mother passed away when he was young for a reason he was never told, and his father was always out working. He doesn't have any siblings, so he spent most of his time alone looking into magic. Of course, he wouldn't be able to actually practise it until way later, where he was invited three times, once at 18 where he failed his first trial, the second time at 20, where he failed his third trial, and finally again at 24, where he breezed through all the trials. Despite being accepted however, he was not eligible for a scholarship, and his father refused to pay for his student loan since he had failed twice and spent 6 years of his life trying, so he had to pay for it all himself, leaving him in debt. This made him loathe his father, and others, but he knew that he would get further if he at least pretended to be friendly, so he built himself a friendly hard-working persona that he used all throughout his first year to learn magic, although what he was mainly interested in was making his wind/air and water magic more potent so he could win fights easily. He prefers to do stuff in secret, however if he's not gone off somewhere with another student, he'll be hanging around the gym or pool. He would do anything in order to pay his debt, and hopes that the second year will be the one where he finally gets to do just that.

Paz Martinez | 18 | Female | Autumn 1st year

Sexuality: Asexual
Appearance: Paz is tall and thin, with a long, gangly frame that only serves to heighten her near-perpetual state of dishevelment. Her skin is brown, but pale from lack of sunlight, her dark brown eyes have permanent dark circles under them, and her long brown hair is wild and tangled, often obscuring her face completely. None of her clothes seem to fit her properly, even her uniform, and they aren't cared for much better than the rest of her. She has a complete inability to sit still, fiddling with pens, adjusting her large round glasses (constantly slipping down her nose), or just generally fidgeting basically all the time.

Personality: Obsession and ambition are the cornerstones of Paz's being. She desires nothing more than absolute perfection, and will settle for nothing less. Everything else in her life is secondary, up to and including her own well-being. Naturally, she's not a terribly fun person to talk to. Discussing subjects she's not interested in will invariably be ignored, while speaking on the things she is will reveal her to be insufferably smug, convinced she knows more about it than whoever she happens to be speaking to. Which, to her credit, she usually does, but for all her intellect and knowledge she's still a fresh student, with all the inexperience that goes with it.

Bio: Paz grew up with a deep love for magic. Both her parents were accomplished magicians, and even at a young age she spend most of her time holed up in their library, devouring books like she was starving. While her parents prevented her from actually learning any magic until she came of age, that didn't stop her from reading up on theory until she could almost hold a solid academic conversation (and obviously sneaking a few spells on the side, because regulations are for other people). She applied to Featherwick as soon as she was able, passed the trials with flying colors, and selected the Autumn Track, purely because she believed it contained the widest practical application. If she had her way, she'd take every track, but the school wouldn't allow her. Truthfully, her ambitions lie even higher than simple academic achievement, Featherwick is just a stepping stone on her way to true greatness.

Serena has tanned skin and big brown eyes, one might say doe eyes. She has long dark hair, specifically a dark reddish-brown color. She has longer lashes, and full lips, as well as nice skin and nails. She has a variety of clothes, including the uniform for school. She has always loved pink, so Spring is definitely a perfect choice for her. She also has a bag.

Personality:
Serena is a kind and caring girl. She has a lot of love to give. She is quite the friendly girl, though can be a bit fiery as well. She’s playful but peevable, honest but headshy. She’s a good girl, but sometimes can do things that others might see as bad for whatever reason. She’s driven to work hard, though also gets withdrawn.

Bio:
Serena was born twenty years ago, to her parents. She has three other siblings, one is older and one is younger. The other is her twin brother, who actually happens to be in the summer class/area. The two grew up well cared for and given a lot of love. They ended up applying, and were both invited to the trials. She managed to make it through all her trials but he failed one of his…He was luckily invited back to do them again after a time. Now, the two of them are in their second year here, and Serena is glad her brother is able to be here.

Sirenn has tanned skin much like his sister. He also has the brown eye color, and has longer lashes and full lips such as she does. Ashe has reddish brown hair, though his appears just a bit more brown. His hair goes to his shoulders and just brushes his shoulders. He has nice skin and nails. He has a variety of clothes, including the uniform for school. He really likes all the colors of the different things. His own clothes, he has a lot of blues and purples but also reds and white.

Personality:
Sirenn is a kind and caring individual, overflowing with love and warmth for those around him. He is friendly and approachable, with a playful spirit that endears him to many. Despite his amiable nature, he can be a bit fiery when provoked and is known to be peevable. His honesty is unwavering, though he tends to be shy and reserved when it comes to expressing his true feelings. A hard worker, Sirenn often finds himself withdrawn, battling his noble intentions with a nervous disposition. He is sweet, sociable, and soft-hearted, yet possesses a stubborn streak that fuels his strong will.
Sirenn is intelligent, with an icy demeanour that can surface if angered, revealing a caring yet cold exterior. Despite this, he remains cuddly and curious, always eager to explore the world around him. His adventurous and spirited nature is tempered by a notable phobia of bees, a fear that often challenges his otherwise brave disposition.

Jessel has creamy peachy skin, but it’s a paler shade. She has freckles on her arms and legs, and her hair is a reddish color. Her hair is curly, and she parts it instead of having bangs. Her hair goes to her upper back, and she also has brown eyes. Her lashes are medium length, and she has nice lips and nails. She has a variety of clothes, including the uniform for the school. Her other clothes are mostly blues and purples. She also has a box with jewelry and stuff she can’t wear, but she keeps it in that box.

Personality:
Jessel is a sweet and soft girl, but also stubborn and shy. She’s sensible but sensitive, noble but nervous. She’s playful but peevable, cuddly but can be withdrawn. She has a phobia of bees…but also is a good girl and tries to do her best. She has a huge love of animals and books. However, she also is withdrawn when upset, and some others just don’t understand that. She’s kind and caring, but can be icy and cold if angered. She’s friendly but fiery, happy (usually) but headshy as well.

Appearance:
Genn has extremely pale skin, and probably pinkening to certain areas. He has reddish eyes, and longer lashes framing these eyes. His hair is to the bottom of his neck, and is white in color. All of these things are due to a lack of pigmentation. He has full lips and nice nails. He also has a variety of clothes, including the school uniform which was provided to everyone. He has a lot of crop tops, stockings/knee socks, tank tops, and t shirts. A lot of those are screened, aka they have art/images on them.

Personality:
Genn is a kind and caring man. However, he can be cold if angered and can also seem icy as well. These traits only seem to show when he’s angry though, luckily for others. He’s a good guy at heart, but he also gets overwhelmed at times. He becomes withdrawn if he’s upset, but he’s also willing to listen to others about troubles or hobbies or such. He’s a sweet but shy, social but stubborn one. He’s honest but headshy, optimistic but ornery at times. He’s playful but peevable, friendly but fiery at times.

Bio:
Genn was born thirty two years ago, to Eiji and Mina Soma. He has three sisters which he wasn’t always happy with..but he loves them. Their names are Fuji, Ikko and Lina. Fuji is his older sister and the other two are younger, so Fuji was always protective of him. He applied to the University a bit older than others, and was invited to the trials. He managed to pass his trials, and now he’s a third year. He really likes it in the Winter track. He’s honestly got an affinity for winter and the moon.

Your characters seem interesting! Though, I noticed that the character of yours who is interested in mine is only 19 while mine is older than that, and one of the roleplay rules says that characters under 20 can't be in a relationship with one over 20.
I'm not interested in changing my character's age because it would mean I'd have to also rewrite his backstory to make it make sense

@Spiritstar3 - just wanted to clarify a few things before accepting your characters, just to make sure we're on the same page.
- People aren't just randomly invited to the trials, they have to apply to the University first.
- Also, trials are only held once a year, so Serena would have had to decline (and risk not getting invited back) her place, and then both would have to apply and pass the next year. So either they have to be a year older to be in the same year, or both as 1st years (or Serena in 2nd and then Sirenn in 1st).
- Also Sirenn's form says he's in Spring track but according to Serena's bio he's in Summer? Just need that fixing as well so there's no confusion.

(And, of course, there's the rule that SupremeNerd42 pointed out)
