though he doesn't have malicious intent,
the common first impression is that mickey
is cold-hearted. really, he just has a sharp
tongue and often doesn't catch himself before
blurting out his thoughts. his lack of self-control
is to blame for this. to newcomers, mickey is
quite the difficult dog to get along with. he's
openly judgmental and puts great value on his
own opinions. he's always had the habit of
demanding those around him to straighten up.
to act more mature. it's safe to say that he's
generous in his critiques. to friends, mickey
is just a grumpy guy, but harmless for the
most part. though rather abrasive, he's friendly
enough to those he knows. though outspoken and
seemingly ready to jump into action, he's truthfully
more likely to provide the ideas and follow someone
else's lead. it drives him insane when others don't
stay in line. surprisingly, he doesn't hold grudges
and is forgiving to those who may have done him
wrong, as he wishes others would give him more
grace and he is aware that he needs to hold back
more, as he's always telling the other's to have
self control when he can barely keep his mouth shut.

difficult to train from the
beginning, mickey was al
ways a challenge for the
musher. he was bought
as a puppy from show-line
alaskan malamutes, both
purebred and hand picked
for their impressive genetics.
both dogs had been to a few
shows, and were staples of
the breed standard. his owner
paid quite a chunk of cash for
him not only then, but later
to repair the damage mickey
did throughout his puppy years.
much like kal, he was a menace
for some time. it didn't help that
they fed off of eachother's bad
behavior. after he reached one
year there was a switch in his
behavior, maturing quickly in
a short time span and mellowing
out more. the musher trained him
to become a sled dog, putting
him at the back at first and making
him a wheel dog. after some time
he earned his spot in the front,
right beside kal.

the musher's new companion, and the
star of the show now that there was
something new and exciting to focus
on. she keeps the team on their toes,
asking questions left and right. having
quite the imagination and wishing to be
involved in things shes not really supposed
to. she tries her best to be well mannered,
and doesn't have the capacity for bad
intentions. she accidentally tends to be a
handful, even on her best behavior. though
fair enough this is your run of the mill
puppy mind. most are understanding of
this. easily intimidated especially around
males. it takes her some time to fully
warm up to others but once she does
she becomes very involved in her friend's
lives. she enjoys this learning, but of course
whatever she learns tends to be forgotten
and left behind before she's corrected
again and again. the musher brought her
on this trip to give her time out of the house,
keeping her bundled in his lap.

the musher bought her as a house dog, a lazy
companion contrasting to his team of working
dogs. he wanted a comfort animal, someone
to lounge around with and be less maintenance.
he tends to leave it to the dogs to keep her in
line and teach her how to function in a family
setting, being laid-back with her training
seeing how slow of a learner she really is.
growing up around older dogs, she surprisingly
enjoys their company enough not to long for
interaction of pups her age. she was born the
only puppy to her mother, oakley, who belonged
to the neighboring property of the musher,
allowing them to visit eachother frequently
after she was adopted out, making it even
easier for her to settle in. the mother dog
being an outside dog, she often roamed to
their property the past month. other times
the neighbor would come and sit for coffee
or just a chat with their master, bringing
oakley along to see her puppy and socialize
with the well-rounded sled dogs.
jasmine worries deeply about leaving her
mother behind, scared that she'll never
make it back after the team's mishap.
she blames herself a little, thinking
that if she wasn't so distracting to the
team and their master they might
not be here.

been referred to as a pushover
due to her submissiveness and
being sensitive at times. but
would try her best if she needed

each step with great poise and

mental, she often offers kind
words to those around her. she
prefers to keep her opinions
to herself in a crowd and is an
easy-going follower, not putting

nimue's mother was rescued from
a family down on their luck who
couldn't care for her anymore,
especially when nimue and
siblings arrived they simply
couldn't provide for all. they
went out of their way, contacting
rescues, adoption events, and
fosters for their beloved pets.
eventually an experienced foster
stepped in, and her family was
raised perfectly. getting everything
they needed and more. once ready,
her siblings and mother got adopted
by different families, all just as sweet
as the foster that rescued them.
nimue was ready to go to a home, but
last minute the foster decided to keep
her, making her one of many foster fails.
she lived peacefully in the house with the
other rescue dogs and helped teach the
pups who passed through how to trust.
she was a great source of comfort for the
dogs coming from less fortunate situations,
and even spent some time raising a
litter of kittens, doing all but providing the
nutrition for them. and she would have
if she could, though the time for her
to have any form of offspring was far
gone as her owner had gotten her spayed.
she had a gentle and stable disposition,
often making her the first to meet new
dogs and help them integrate into their
temporary home with ease.

akira was the product of a working line
siberian husky and alaskan husky, which
the genetics of make her built for working
and being active. kira can't be tied down
and craves freedom. she's often going
for mindless adventures, for no reason
other than the fun of it. she can often
seem like she's in her own world mentally,
but she isn't dull by any means. she's clever
and finds it easy to solve problems, get herself
unstuck and has quite a knack for escaping.
she's talkative and what you might call a
social butterfly. she is eager to please and
has a talent for making fast friends. one to make
anyone laugh. she's not great at comforting,
often resorting to being silly. she's very energetic,
and hyper. she knows her limits though and
tries not to push the boundaries of others.
playful and lightly competitive, she is always
looking for someone to match her energy and
have fun with her. even puppies have a
hard time keeping up with her as she never
slows down in energy and stamina. almost
to an impossible degree. even jasmine,
the puppy, slows down and rests long before
kira willingly does.

despite her hyper demeanor now,
she was actually an incredibly
easy puppy to train, catching on
quickly to tricks, commands,
potty training, and eventually
mushing. mushing was so fulfilling
to her, she felt it was what she was
destined to do. from puppy-hood
she worked hard and stayed focused
when mushing and learning the pack
dynamic, almost turning a switch
from play to working mode as
soon as her harness was slipped on.
she knew it was time to work and
lived to make their master proud.
in fact, she still does. being praised
is the best thing that could happen to
her, and akira usually doesn't have
to fight much for her owner's affection,
as she's a velcro dog and always
in his presence. she finds it important
for potential friends and even a
future mate to have a respect
for humans, as her love for their
master is unwavering. she doesn't
take lightly to others talking down
about humans in general. she's
always had an easy life and hasn't
faced much hardship when it comes
to that side of things.

by now, through his experiences
there's not much shay hasn't
seen. truly, he's been through
it all. and during all those years
nothing kept him down, which is
why many of the street dogs
respected and admired him
greatly. his entire life he's been
incredibly intelligent and strong
on his instincts. it takes alot for
him to doubt himself. socially
he's very controlled, stoic, but
generally likable as he's learned
its simply the easiest way to
survive. he's laidback, and not
concerned much with company
for the fun of it. if he disagrees
with a group choice, he's likely
to go off on his own. usually
very logical, he tends to think
based on survival rather than
emotions. as he has his entire life.
not getting too attached to
anyone as much as he can help it.
recently a sickness has gone around
the city he lived in, and he's
beginning to feel dazed and off
to some degree, making him
uncharacteristically reactive,
and confused at rare times. more
often he seems a little dazed, or
not all there when he is hit with this.

shay's been tossed around his entire
life. in his first year of life he lived with
his mother as a stray, before they
all got captured and given to
different homes from the shelter.
he stayed with that small family
for a year, then when they couldn't
handle his high energy and need
for training they returned him to
the same shelter. over the past
nine years his longest time in
a home was two years, the rest
of the time he passed through shelters,
houses, rescues, and spent most
of the time on the street. now,
he's made quite a name for
himself among the strays in
his bustling city. having a good
rapport with others made sure
he was protected and stayed on
the good side even with new dogs.
everyone knew him, and he knew
everyone. he became very secure
on the streets and of course was
experienced after his complicated
history. after dodging the dog
catchers for a few years now,
even being known as "houdini"
or "houndini" among dog catchers
for his knack of escaping them,
they finally caught up. before
showing up here and meeting the
pack, hes been in the pound for a
few weeks...nearing his
personal doomsday.

love, if any of the colors are difficult for you to read with your sight,
you just let me know! don't want you to have to strain.

also want to add while i'm thinking about it, since i already have a decent amount of characters and it looks like
you'll have a few as well to add, i think with our limited energy it would be a great idea to post for certain
characters at certain times and switch between "scenes" and interactions as we feel. that way if we are
feeling bad but still want to write, we arent so stressed about doing 5-6 character posts and can do one or
however many we feel at the time. that way we aren't too slowed down or discouraged. just a thought for
the future if we do feel bad. and of course if you can't respond thats okay too. was just thinking about that
in between feeling where you have limited time that you feel like being online but still want to do that, you
have options.. sorry to ramble. and i'll likely be doing large posts for each character in the beginning
and at certain points when i feel well, other times probably doing what i suggested. so sorry again for

i 100% agree with you about how we go about writing our replies! this is usually how i write with warrior cats one x ones that i do, because it will take a lot of the pressure off of us. if we have the muse for one of our characters, or a scene they're involved in, then we have the freedom to choose who we write, rather than having to worry about dropping all the posts all at once, since that can definitely get a little more overwhelming than we'd like. if you need months to find your muse, that's a'ok <3 i will always be happy to wait for a reply as long as you need : ) but there's definitely never any rush whatsoever - and if you're online but don't feel like writing, or your muse lies elsewhere for other threads, don't ever feel bad about holding off on a post here. this is a place for fun and id hate for us to find any stress through our hobby, haha. so, essentially, what im rambling and trying to say is: absolutely no worries and that plan works perfectly for me. there'll be some times where i cant be online with as wretched as my health is, so i'll definitely go through some periods where i cant get a post out quickly. ive been dealin with a flare up the past few days, so i apologize for not getting my characters done yet! but hopefully i can get a little bit done tonight. : )

i promise im not trying to be too controlling on the plot, but
i did feel really inspired and your question has been on my mind all day
so i figured i would type it up before i forget. i was thinking we could
start with the sled dog team, and have them right in the middle or about
to have an accident where they're on the side of a steep cliff/edge/snow bank??
and their owner has fallen out, and theyre all trying to get back up and then out
of their harnesses?? some of the dogs could slip out easier and start trying to pull
the others back up, or balancing on the edge and trying to help them get their
harnesses off. just a thought, and if we really want to throw in the pack
we could say they met eachother a couple of days ago and are residing near
a cave as their main point of camp? still getting to know eachother and
not really being too trustworthy yet.

you're not controlling at all!! <3 i always want to hear your thoughts and opinions, <3 im always happy to hear any of your ideas : ). i think it would be a great point to start with the accident, that way we can begin at the start of their journey - and we can have them travel along until they stumble onto the pack of strays? i was thinking perhaps the strays could live near a very small village or settlement? that might provide some shelter and heat that the outside definitely wouldn't. or, we could have them gather up in a cave and they discover somewhere more secure together? what are your thoughts there? o:
