Name: Muttjaw
Past/Future Names: Muttkit, Muttpaw
Name meaning:
prefix Mutt; his mother was one for intimidating names, and his fur is a very murky dark brown
suffix jaw; Muttjaw prefers use of his teeth over claws in a lot of hunting and combat! This didn't go unnoticed. It's also a bit ironic since he's a quiet person.
Gender: Tom
Pronouns: He/him

Sexuality: Bisexual
Description: Massive, dark brown mackerel-tabby tom with a flat face and a scarred muzzle. He has dark brown eyes and large, fluffy paws.

Rank: Warrior — he is considering climbing the ranks, but his reputation may drag him downward.

Close to: Just his child, Hostaleap for now! He's open for all relationships!
Dislikes: Nobody in particular yet, but anyone who questions his and his child's loyalty to Fireclan due to Hostaleap's mysterious background. He's not a fan of gossips.

Personality Traits: Quiet, looming, and intimidating. It's difficult to get over his slightly judgemental resting glare, but when you do, he is very caring; your rock amidst a raging storm. He dotes after his only child — of whom he is very proud and protective of. He loves his family and friends, and he considers the two to be the same. Muttjaw is also loyal to his clan, but given the choice... he would pick his family over anything in the world.
Other than that, he's a bit straight-faced. Strict with apprentices, but encouraging and proud when it is warranted. A very dad-like figure.
Gain their trust: It's a bit difficult. Because of his kitten's heritage, he expects his clan-mates to dislike him, so he has high walls up by default. I think, with a bit of time, and maybe some talk over a fat trout, he'd make a warm friend/ally.
Background:
He's had a regular childhood. His mother and father passed some years ago, but Muttjaw remembers them both warmly. Tough folks they were. Warriorhood went the same way, until he brought a some-moon old kitten home. His reputation of a warrior with strong deputy potential sort of tanked afterwards.

There's questions to be made as to who Hostaleap's mother is — their lean, leggy stature and anxious personality suggested Airclan, but his sleek white-freckled coat suggests perhaps Waterclan or maybe even kittypet ancestry... but there's not really any real evidence to these claims.
Interesting Info: Muttjaw's absolute favorite food is fish, even more so trout. He also likes to swim. Cool water feels nice and floaty in his fur, although getting it out of his thick long-haired pelt is difficult.

Name meaning:
Hosta- ; Muttjaw wanted to name his child something sweet and floral in rememberance of Hostaleap's mother.
-leap ; They're a wonderful, quick leaper! Good at catching rabbits, and they tend to be very skittery too.

Description: Light brown rosetted cat with large, neat white splotches and freckles. Hostaleap's eyes are teal, with a medium, lean build and a bushy tail.

Dislikes: Nobody, for now. Hostaleap doesn't keep many grudges, even when their clanmates alienate them.

Personality Traits: Jumpy and nimble with little self-esteem. They have the same warm kindness as their father, although they're mainly closed off in favor of a sleek professional-like persona. More likely to flee and get backup from a conflict than actually fight – they'd rather keep their fur than their dignity when challenged, too.
Gain their trust: Patience! Hostaleap overthinks a lot, so they'd probably be suspicious of you at first. Otherwise, it's fairly standard – befriend them.
Background:
Hostaleap was treated as an other before they recieved their name. Almost two years ago, Muttjaw, their father brought them into camp with no mother in sight. They were then raised into Fireclan.
They've never felt entirely welcome in their clan. Throughout their rocky apprenticeship they considered attempting to switch clans or even leaving altogether – but Hostaleap could never leave their father, not in a million years.
Interesting Info: Gets sick if they eat too much fish, but enjoys it nonetheless. Enjoys lizards the most – he loves their scales and pelts. I imagine he also decorates his nest in colorful bird feathers.
