Min-Jun absolutely does not like people. She judges very easily
and typically does not mind telling people to their face her opinion
of them. She doesn't care what other people think of her, so she
doesn't mind being disliked. She really only cares about one
persons opinion. Her best friend, Skylar. Min-Jun has a hard time
keeping up her 'everyone but me sucks' attitude when it comes to
Skylar. Min-Jun is an artist, mostly focusing on large-scale realistic
paintings. She is a student at NYU majoring in fine arts, minoring
in gender and sexuality studies. Min-Jun likes to express herself
in her style, and has had red as her signature colour since she was
fifteen, always dying her hair the same shade of red.

Min-Jun grew up in a small family, only consisting of her and her
parents. She has always lived in New York, though her family was
not very well off. Min-Jun has always been creative, making art
out of anything and everything. She enjoyed painting pretty much
from the first time she ever tried, even if she wasn't very good and
her supplies were cheap. From then on she would draw and paint
almost every day, the walls of their apartment covered floor to
ceiling in her art. Min-Jun was socially awkward as a child, usually
struggling to make friends for very long. The only really longterm
friend she had was Skylar, although she didn't live in New York she
would visit during vacations, and the two grew pretty close. Min-Jun
realized she was gay pretty young, around twelve, and became open
about it at fifteen. Her parents did not support her, so Min-Jun
ended up moving away the second she became eighteen. Min-Jun
has been in love with Skylar for a long time, although doesn't do
anything about it due to an incident in the past. Min-Jun enrolled
in NYU as soon as she could, and is determined to pay off the tuition
herself without any help. She currently lives with Skylar.

Synopsis: Skylar was born in sunny southern California to a successful actor and an up-and-coming producer who were not in a relationship. Despite this, both parents doted on her and co-parented fairly well. Sky spent her childhood on movie sets with her dad or playing in her mom's office. Though it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows Skylar fell in love with film and spent hours scribbling out her own scripts to act out with friends. Eventually, though, Skylar's mom moved to New York to work on theater productions instead of movies. Skylar split time between her parents, spending vacations and a number of holidays in New York with her mom but the rest of the year with her dad. It was during a visit to her mom's that she met Min-Jun, her future best friend.

Fast forward a few years and eventually Sky fell in love with a new actor on one of her dad's projects. At first, she was sure he was the one. He treated her wonderfully and she was smitten. And then the comments started. She was too much- too loud, too girly, too colorful. For a while Skylar made 'compromises' with herself. She toned down her wardrobe, she held her tongue. The color started to drain out of her life. But she could deal with it for true love right? Right. At least up until she found out she was being cheated on. It was like her whole world shattered though she would never let it be known to anyone but her best friend.

After the break up, Skylar needed to get out of Cali. NYC was really the only option- both Min-Jun and her mom were there. In short order Skylar transferred to a school in NYC to continue her film degree and got an apartment with Min-Jun and their two cats.

Skylar has a critical eye, she's observant but more than willing to play-naïve it if she feels she'll gain something by pretending. While outgoing and sociable, she doesn't hold back if she feels like she'd been crossed leading to a history of petty behavior. This is only fueled further by her impatience.

Brief Physical Description: Skylar's appearance is immaculately curated to fit her preferred aesthetic. On the taller side, she has an extensive care routine to keep her skin blemish free though there are a few marks on her legs from a childhood spent adventuring on the beach. Her beach-blonde hair is naturally wavy though she often re-curls it to have it sit how she wants.
