when it comes to poppystripe, it's most dangerous when she becomes silent. she is a cat who faces
many problems alone but will do anything to make her loved ones smile and safe. the tabby is not a
sweet talker and others are often confused because she's so brutally honest. her fierce independence
and unbreakable spirit make her a pillar of strength for those she cares about and no matter how str
essed or exhausted she may be, she would move mountains for the sake of her trusted circle. it shou
ld be cautioned not to take advantage of her kindness because once you break her trust she is ready
to walk away - because, like the sun, she can be alone and still shine. poppystripe has a big heart but
is pretty closed-off at first and once she's won over she'll become a sincere and loyal friend.

born to rookjaw and berrystar, the molly had be fortunate enough to have parents who believed in
her and had patience with her as she figured out the ropes of life. she wasn't the easiest kit to raise, wi
th a fierce fire burning within her and a strong will that demanded to be exercised, but nonetheless both
her mother and father were there for her through it all. poppystripe had learned of her mother's past
with her own mother, ivycloud, and even though she had only spoken to her grandmother a handful of
ties before her death, she grew to resent the molly who treated her own daughter so cruelly. berrystar
had been her idol and she looked up to her father in every aspect of life, so when he was murdered it
was like a dark coldness seeped into her along with a deadly determination to find the responsible party
and make them pay. left with her pregnant mother and her unborn siblings, poppystripe has grown even
closer to rookjaw since the death of berrystar and has noticed a maternal instinct that she didn't know
she had begin to bloom for the kits the black she-cat carried.

Well, Frostmask is just going to grandparent everyone, so everyone now has an unofficial snarky grumpy grandparent. Ray is pretty much open to any and all relationships. Maybe an older half-sibling or two within the clan? Hawkpaw relationships are all up in the air, I don't have anything planned for him, so I'm just gonna go with the flow for him. Rook though, she's probably going to try and get friendly with or just being a nuisance to Trailshine, in hopes of ... getting info about Starclan, the killer/evidence. Other than that, Rooks pretty much a free bird.

▬|Description: A slightly smaller than average grey brown tabby cat with a white underbelly and paws. She has very large green eyes. She is underweight and from her illness but still surprisingly muscular. Her claws always seem to be longer and sharper then people expect from such a “cute little kitty”.

▬|Personality: Shanty is a private cat, a survivor. She isn’t shy by nature but a life time of —— has made her cautious about how she approaches others and what she feels she can say. Her uncertain position in the clan means that she constantly feels like she is walking on thin ice, ice that she feels is cracking with every distrustful glance thrown her way. Still, Shanty is no doormat which may be making things worse, she reacts quickly and defensively when threatened. She is loyal in her own way but slow to trust and slow to forgive. She approach’s most relationships expecting to be betrayed so it’s hard to feel genuinely close. Good things are temporary, they should be enjoyed and treasured but never expected to last. Still, there is a kindness to her and a mischievous streak that can be seen shining through on the rare moments she isn’t watching her back.

▬|Backround: Like most of what is known about this shady little cat, Shanty’s past is a mystery. She was found by a border patrol near death and was taken to the medicine cats who nursed her back to health over the course of a few moons. She refused to talk about what had happened and was aggressively secretive. But, over time as her wounds began to heal and her fever faded some of the fear that seemed to consume the loner faded. She began to like clan life, the way the cats worked and took care of each other. When she was well enough to leave she approached Berrystar and asked to stay and be made a warrior. He agreed and only a few days before her ceremony was set he and the deputy were murdered. Now with the leader gone her place within the clan is uncertain. There are still plenty of cats that don’t and never did trust her and now a new rumor is making the rounds. Perhaps the leader and deputy did know something about her past, something she needed silenced…
