—— BACKGROUND
Bobbie had been given up as a child, spending most of her early years in a handful of orphanages and foster homes. Her rambunctious energy had made her a bit of a handful, and she grew keen in learning how to get what she wanted. At ten years old, she had been scamming people out of money with a simple card trick, unknowingly using magic to make it happen. After scamming one man in particular, an arrogant ringleader to a traveling circus, who bet his entire wallet to expose the trick she was playing, only to be proven wrong. The man, Dexter Danger (yes really, he had it changed to that) would go on to adopt her, saying they could use someone like her on the team, to scam all the gullible suckers across the world!
Soon enough she was traveling everywhere a train could take them, and the circus became her new crazy, loving family. The fortune teller in the group, Miz Madam the Mysterious (seriously, who comes up with these names?) had been the one to sense Bobbies hidden powers. Being a witch herself, she offered to train her. Discovering Bobbie had a knack for creating illusions, she practiced her magic on the many crowds who came to their shows, dazzling people of all ages with the added effects she could contribute to the performances.
As she got older, she climbed the ranks within the circus, dabbling in a little bit of every act, until she became an acrobat. She loved the rush of performing dangerous maneuvers and the cheers of adoring fans. With her fiery persona and fiery red hair, she earned the not so clever but less dumb name then most, Phoenix. She loved performing, and her life was perfect, all until a simple, yet threatening complication began to arise. Madam received a murky premonition, but it’s message was very clear. If Bobbie didn’t leave the circus, something terrible would happen to Dexter. The vision baffled everyone, even madam herself, and the other circus members protested against it, Dexter commenting that she’s probably had a little to much of whatever the clowns were drinking.
But they all knew Madam’s visions had never been wrong before. Bobbie reminded them of this, even if the idea of leaving terrified her, any harm coming to her family was worse to consider. It gave her strength to agree to leave, with Madam assuring her that this threat would not be permanent, and they’d keep in contact to alert her when it was safe to come back. The vision came with a specific location for Bobbie to remain safe, the small town of Ute in Colorado. Bidding a farewell to everyone, she was sent off to people who would supposedly take her in. People with magic, like her. Once she had gotten over her own fears, she considered this an adventure, a new opportunity as a solo act.

- Bobbie has the ability to create illusions, both visual and olfactory. She can create hallucinations that effect every sense, except for touch. She can create sounds and smells artificially, as well as structures and moving creatures, though they are the most difficult to create and require a lot of concentration. None of the hallucinations can physically harm someone, and anyone can simply walk through the structured illusions.
- She dabbled in business practices from being Dexters right hand woman. He taught her the fundamentals as a teen, and she made herself aware and involved with deals made to better the circus. Her skills in persuasion only improved with time, knowing how to swindle and sweet talk just about anyone she meets.
- She’s got good coordination and endurance, very flexible with proficient muscle memory as an acrobat. Along with a daring outlook on trying anything new, willing to take risks, and leap right into action.
- She enjoys singing. Has a pretty good voice that, much like everything else, she enjoys showing off in performance.

—— BACKGROUND
Jayden was born and raised in Colorado, growing up in Ute with her caring father. Chris Parker was a friendly neighbor and dependable man, working a handful of jobs just to keep him and Jay financially stable. Even if they didn’t have a lot of money, Jay was none the wiser, and loved her dad to bits. They were happy in any situation, and their bond could weather any storm.
Once Jay started going to school, she began to develop a stutter, which Chris recognized to be hereditary from his side of the family. She was teased moderately from kids she would go on to know for the rest of her school years, but even then she was surrounded by good people and friends who became a rock solid support system. Even as a little girl, Jay began taking interest in her father’s profession as a handyman, as he knew how to fix just about anything. She accompanied him on certain jobs to observe, and later practice on her own (breaking a few things and unscrewing a few water pipes in the process) Despite any mishaps, her father continued to encourage her passion, seeing how quickly she was picking things up.
As an adult, Jay gained the same honorable title as a dependable and capable handy woman. She felt confident in her abilities and in herself, and Chris couldn’t be prouder. Sadly, her excitement didn’t last long before her father fell ill. The town gathered in mourning of Chris Parker’s sudden death, offering emotional support to a devastated Jayden. She never saw this coming, never considered it happening, and It felt like she’d been sucker punched. In her own mourning, she considered leaving Ute, the mere thought of her living in this town without her father seemed unbearable. Though she didn’t know where to go, and feared traveling beyond what’s always been her home.
With time, her wounds began to heal. Staying in Ute to be surrounded by those same good people she knew as a kid, With every familiar face in town looking to offer further support. She remembers her father fondly, as nearly every part of Ute reminds her of him. She wants to give back to the community through her job and in any other way she can. Hoping to make anyone and everyone feel welcomed in Ute.

- Jay inherited compulsive stuttering from her grandmother and was very self conscious of her own voice during her younger years in school. Though with learning how to better manage it, has grown more confident as an adult. She has found her stutter is at its worse when she’s stressed.
- She works at the hardware shop in town, being one of the on site car mechanics/electricians/kinda whatever odd interior or exterior job you need done on a house kinda gal. You give her a problem that can be fixed with a tool and she will not give up until it’s solved.
- Tattoos include large angel wings inked across her back, in memory of her father. Along with a sleeve tattoo, which depicts a snake wrapped around her right arm, surrounded by flowers.
- Dabbles as an artist. She’ll travel deep into the woods just to paint portraits of the environment and landscapes, or she’ll be sketching out the birds she sees on natural trails. It helps channel any impulsive fidgeting and nervous energy.

Carson's not had the easiest time in her life, and
if there is anyone who knows it, it's her brother
Emmett. Carson herself feels guilt over the way
things turned out, with Emmett seeming to al-
ways be the one looking out for her instead of
her fulfilling that duty as his older sister, but
she just can't seem to get her act together long
enough to be the responsible older sibling. Em
was not home when it happened, but the death
of their sister is seared in Carson's mind, be-
cause it was a tragedy that she should have
tried to prevent. They had been arguing, likely
over something Carson was or wasn't doing, and
she finally stepped over the line, sending Cass
off, steaming. It was the middle of the night
and raining, but Cass jumped into her truck
anyway, and she never came back. After that
call from the police, Carson did what she always
does: uprooted her life and ran from her prob-
lems, from Oregon to Colorado. A few weeks
later, Emmett followed her, eager to once again
clean up her messes instead of living his own life.

Carson's always been the black sheep of the Shepherd family. Where she should have been the responsible
eldest, she was always off acting as if she were the neglected middle child, and the actual middle child,
Cassandra, was left patching the holes in the relationship Carson should have been capable of providing to
Emmett, their little brother. They all grew up on a farm in Oregon, but with their parents being werewolves,
they never seemed to be around as much as they should have. While Emmett found his calling as a paramedic
and Cassandra looked after their parents' business, Carson was bouncing from one job to another. After Cas-
sandra's death, Carson couldn't handle staying, but she never intended for Emmett to follow her. Now, she has
been with the pack for two years, and Carson can still barely bring herself to acknowledge that Emmett exists.
She doesn't know whether it's guilt over their sister's death, some sort of twisted anger over him not blaming
her, or something else entirely, but it's simply easier not to confront it, and that seems to be Carson's philoso-
phy when it comes to a whole lot of things.

The thing about Carson is that she doesn't actually mean to be the mess that she is. She doesn't find any sort
of joy in being a disappointment or being unable to hold down a job, but whenever she tries to do the right
thing, everything just seems to crumble in her hands. Anyone who tries to show her kindness will find her
questioning their motives and deflecting any attempt at sincerity with some mordant remark, and whereas
Emmett is the heartfelt and wholesome one in the family, she seems to have an increasingly hard time ac-
knowledging any sort of emotion, whether coming from herself or anyone else. She's most often aloof and
avoidant, dealing with most of her problems by ignoring them. However, something has seemed to change
lately, even if it is only slightly, because Carson is actually trying ─ she's trying not to fend off everyone who
tries to have a word with her, and she wants to be a better person, but maybe confronting her past is still a
ways off.

It wasn't until Emmett was older when he realized
that his and his sisters' childhood might not have
been as easy and carefree as he had believed.
Despite being only four years older than Emmett,
Cassandra had done an exceptional job at being
his parent and shielding him from every mistake
Carson ever made, allowing him to love her as
a sister instead of being lead to only see all of
her faults. But even after he began noticing each
crack in the foundation of their family, being the
sweet man that he is, Emmett never loved either
of his sisters ─ or their parents ─ any less. His
kindness and care for others lead to him finding
his purpose as a paramedic, even when it meant
moving to the city to study. Emmett's only regret
is that he wasn't there for Carson when Cass was
in that accident. He has never blamed her for
what happened that night, because he knows
that freak accidents like that are rarely some-
thing someone would know to prevent, but the
more he tries to convince Carson of it not being
her fault, the more irritated and distant she
seems to become. This didn't prevent him from
following her to Colorado.

As a trained and licensed paramedic, Emmett is proficient in treating a wide range of injuries, and the
more urgent the injury, the more focused and skillful he seems to become. Officially, Emmett is employed
by the town of Ute as a paramedic, but he also uses his talents to help the pack, and even if some of his
peers may frown upon it, he isn't the kind of person to deny help from anyone, whether him being a were-
wolf should make them natural enemies or not. What has caused friction in the past ─ mainly with Carson
─ is his declaration of pacifism: he is unwilling to raise a hand against anyone, because it not only goes
against his dedication to healing but also his personal sense of morality. Although he knows that Carson is
not the type to admit these sorts of things ─ often even to herself ─ he suspects that she is only opposed
to it because she worries Emmett is putting himself in danger by trying to remain a neutral party, and
maybe that's true, but Emmett isn't going to let any manner of personal fear prevent him from helping as
many people as he possibly can.

Emmett is always giving others the benefit of the doubt and offering them their second, third, or fourth
chance. No matter what Carson says, this doesn't necessary make him stupid, only forgiving to a fault. He
seems to be impervious to being hurt by any insult and is always ready to sit down for a conversation in
case someone needs a shoulder. Helping others, whether that be as a paramedic or a friend, is his purpose
and following this purpose only seems to make him even more adamant in pursuing it. Although Emmett
is compassionate and cares deeply for others, not much seems to truly trouble him. He takes things in
stride and offers others whatever support they may need, while maintaining his composure. However, this
doesn't mean that he doesn't show his emotions ─ he is actually rather sensitive and proudly wears his heart
on his sleeve, and he believes that being open about his experiences and feelings is the key to healthy
relationships with others. He has tried this with Carson, too, but she doesn't seem ready to talk about it.

Anton is originally from Poland, but he migrated to the States all the way back in
the early eighties. That's when he met Teresa, who he thought could be the love
of his life. When he swore his undying love for her, she revealed herself as a
vampire and promised she could make it true ─ and Anton agreed. But it turns
out Teresa had regrets, because she unburied him far too soon, and he emerged
as a half-vampire. It's been nearly fifteen years since, and he's aged barely a

defend it. He's quite chivalrous, but you should be care-
ful about looking at his allies the 'wrong way', because he
is also known for punching people over trivial matters.
Anton is fairly sure the coven only keeps him around be-
cause he can walk in the daylight unbothered, but he does
not mind, because he is a sociable guy, but his condition
has made it difficult for him to fit in with either vampires
or humans before, and he's mostly in it for the company.
Anton actually can't compel humans, only animals, but he is
known to enthral rats to be his 'friends' when there's no one
else to talk to. He had a cat, until someone tried to eat it.

from an early age, alfie has been blessed with powerful, almost overwhelming supernatural abilities. it took a very long time for him to get precise control of them. he spent his youth in foster care, and was seen as a troublemaker for incidents that the magic caused. at age seventeen, he ran away from his foster home in santa fe, new mexico, and hitched a bus to colorado. it was there he eventually stumbled upon his coven, where he finally found answers to what he thought was not normal, a bad thing. quickly he grey from a angry, troubled young man into a cocky, zealous adult. he'll do anything and everything for his coven. his drive and dedication lead him to be trusted as the second in command to the coven leader.

alfie can be described as, well at the very least brash. he isn't afraid to speak his mind, and has no use for small talk. he's very goal oriented, to the point where his personal relationships suffer. despite being a little bit rough around the edges, he obviously cares about his coven very much. he is a great influence on the younger witches, and has incredible patience for tutoring those who need help honing in their abilities. he has a sweet side to him, even if tries hard not to show it.

salem was a teenager in the late 70's early 80's meaning they are a very recently turned vampire. they lived with their single dad, who wasn't really a stable figure in their life. needless to say, they werent missed after they left home due to being turned. salem was turned in the midst of a house show for a local punk band. the bassist turned them and left them to learn how to be a vampire on their own.

salem is a very messy person. they are constantly causing trouble, and behaving recklessly. they don't let being a vampire stop them from having fun. in fact, they find it to be a blessing, allowing to live freely for all eternity. salem is defensive and bold, harrowed from their past trauma. however, they are very friendly and tend to get along with most people. while salem is definitely a chaotic pressence, they are also a lot of fun to be around. a lot of people feel like they can call salem a true friend.

About: Temperance Snow is a bright young artist and painter from Maine. She makes her living selling her paintings and painting commissions for other people. Tema isn't the best at making connections with people but when she does even if it is the smallest connection she becomes one of the most loyal people you can meet. She wants the best for everyone, and can sometimes fall victim to her own optimism. Despite her sometimes naiveté to the bad intentions of others, she isn't completely trusting, especially because of her recent experiences in Ute and her late father's history.
She is extremely close with her elderly landlady, Mirabelle Lune, and will often do chores and errands for her. Mirabelle is teaching Tema how to bake, though it doesn't happen often as Tema is allergic to Mirabelle's cats who live on the property.
She loves to read, her favorite genres being romance, fantasy, and nature guides. She spends a lot of her time in the woods around Ute, sketching, painting, taking reference photos, or just hiking.

History/Background: Tema may not be from Ute but her father sure left his mark on the community. Tema is the daughter of a wildlife researcher and a werewolf hunter. Until rather recently she hadn't known about the world of supernatural beings, nor the role her father had played in it. Tema grew up in a small town in Maine with her mother, Harmony. Her mother never liked to talk about Tema's father nor anything surrounding the time before Tema was born, leaving Tema slightly curious about what had gone so terribly to leave her mother traumatized and broken.

When Tema was finishing high school her mother got diagnosed with cancer leaving her to care for her dying mother while attending a local college for a degree in fine arts and working multiple jobs to pay for the care and her college. After her mother passed away, Tema left Maine for Ute for a fresh start and possible answers to her questions about her father and whatever her mother was trying to protect her from. After the death of the local werewolf pack's alpha by a hunter led to chaos, she ended up stumbling into the truth in the form of the werewolf that her father had tried to kill, almost two decades ago. Her father was a hunter that was chasing down an entire family of werewolves one by one. He had used her mother's research about the wild wolves in the area to track down one of the family's sons and formed a relationship with her mother to gain more information. Eventually, he tried to kill the young wolf and was killed for his efforts by the local werewolf pack, most of which was witnessed by her mother at the time.
She still knows very little about the supernatural world, mostly just that it exists and there are people out there who will hunt things that they don't understand. Tema is interested in learning more but she doesn't want to push the fragile bond she has with Lyall who is still working on being able to trust himself around her.
