Rootshadow has his parent's athletic build, long limbs, and light well-defined muscles. He has short fur that in color is mainly a brown tabby, with some white undersides. The hairs on his body are soft and have slight waves to them. His eyes are amber-hued, with hints of brown and green dappled around his Pupils. The warrior has his father's large ears and long tail, he has a few minor scars that aren't really worth mentioning.
If Rootshadow had been born a two-leg, his middle name would have been adaptable, because that's arguably his best trait. He easily adapts to most situations, which is why he likes to believe he gets most of his skill from. It also nurtured his love of night hunting, shadows, and darkness as a whole. He's not a classically devious cat, as he's not the type to run around manipulating others into getting what he wants. In fact, the tom rarely uses his own devious nature for his own wants, more often than not he's doing his best to subtly helping out a clan-mate. That said, he tends to do more damage when his ego's been damaged and his anger comes into play. Thankfully, his love for his clan-mates keeps things from getting too out of hand. Rootshadow is also quite outspoken, in an "I have no way to stop anything from coming out of my mouth" kind of way. This annoying but still appreciated trait is often overshadowed by his heroic nature. It's a good thing that he doesn't scar easily because if he did, the tom would probably have constellations of them. The tom will always throw himself into danger, to protect his clan-mates, even if that means taking a world-ending blow. So it's safe to say that the tom spends a lot of time in the medicine cat den with Nightflower and Silverpaw.
Rootpaw and his sibling were born about a moon and a half after his father died. His mother; Vixensong is his idol and wants to be just like her one day. He from a young age has looked up to his clan leader, who he aspires to be like one day as the next clan leader. As a kit he played roughly with the older kits and often got scolded for it. Though the tom often would snap at any kits or apprentices being rude or teasing other kits, as he felt that it was his job to look after others. As an apprentice, Rootpaw has thrown himself into training, determined to become a warrior ahead of time. Unfortunately for Rootpaw, he earned his warrior name a full moon behind schedule, due to an injury, but at the same time as his sibling.
