quetzal is a cat with a characteristic swagger and endless compassion, known best for his ability to
put other cats at ease. this tom can be a real heartbreaker given his charm, humor, and warmth that
often leaves the cats he crosses paths with flushed and well-complimented. quetzal is a firm
pacifist and has sworn never to lay a claw on another cat except in very extreme cases; as such, he
doesn't enjoy conflict and has always acted as a voice of reason, with his friends often looking to him
to smooth ruffled pelts. he's an incredibly friendly cat, but he can lose his temper when under great
stress and often comes to regret the things he says; additionally, he is known to be a bit grumpy and
irritable when he is tired or impatient.

quetzal doesn't remember much about his mother, only that she was kind to him and his littermates
and always smelled of fragrant flowers. he was born a kittypet (of sorts) and was adopted by a pair of
twolegs with a lavish lifestyle. he had the run of the house, but grew lonely with nothing but a dog for
company and a mistress who coddled him far too closely. spoiled as he was, he broke for the trees when
his housefolk visited the island for a private vacation on their boat. he knew little to nothing about
survival, but was taught by an old cat named dart frog. after his friend passed away, quetzal spent his
days roaming the island, meeting the other cats and making friendships with those who allowed it. he
tends to know a great deal about the rainforest and is always happy to help newcomers adapt to the
harsh, yet beautiful, environment.

kalypso was born on the island, though her
parents didn't really get along. because
they both cared for her, she would spend
some time with her father and then shift
over to her mother, up until she lost her
to a bad storm. left with her father, he
taught her that she should never think
that anything was out of her reach, and
that all she needed to achieve her goals
was cunning. after he, too, passed away,
kalypso put his lessons into action and
started a livelihood of trickery.

kalypso is the kind of cat to give in to her wildest desires, no matter how dark or unsavory they may be.
she indulges herself carefully, of course, never one to rush into something and always planning for how
she will make her exit. she's hard to outsmart, but she'll invite you to try: toying with others is her main
cure for boredom, and this is a state she is in rather often. you can always count on her to put up a
good facade, never truly revealing herself or her intentions unless it works to her benefit. the only
constant about her is her ephemeral nature and her lack of care to get personal about herself. talking,
though she is silver-tongued, is not her favorite thing to do, and if she has chosen to seek out your
company, you either have something of value that she wants to experience for herself, or you'd better
find one pretty quick. despite her shifty ways, kalypso doesn't particularly feel the need to be an evil
cat -- not yet, at least; most tend to get the feeling that she is capable of doing sinister things if she
really wanted to, and she would probably agree.

Personality: He’s not the friendliest tom around, but once he warms up to others he’s a pretty decent guy. He doesn’t mind being by himself, but finds it kind of boring. Fleck can be quick to fight at times, but he doesn’t mean much other than to protect what is his. He strives for something more, but it’s hard to do that when you’re a lone cat on your piece of territory on an island.

History: All things considered, Fleck grew up relatively normal with two parents and two siblings. However, visiting Twolegs managed to snatch his siblings while his parents were off hunting. After that, his parents never really let him out of their sight. His father was killed by a mother bear to feed her cubs and his mom died to a mysterious illness all before he was 20 moons old, so he’s been on his own for over half his life now.

Personality: Adventurous and head-strong, Pearl never liked sticking to one spot on the island. He doesn’t care much about trespassing and doesn’t even consider it as such, but quickly runs or hides upon the threat of discovery. Pearl probably knows the layout of the island better than any cat, but that never stops him from discovering a new spot.

History: Pearl was born to two older cats, one of whom often told him stories of massive warriors who fought invaders tooth and claw and had more honor than any other cat. He would find himself amazed by Ocean’s Song’s stories, though when asked if they were real he would laugh and say that they were just stories his family had passed down. Still, they inspired him for adventure and ever since his parents died of old age, he’s been exploring.

from such and in comparison to some, far more danger
ous. despite her size, the worst of her isn't her claws n
or teeth, but rather, her temper. bearing a pelt that s-
eems to catch fire in the right light, perhaps such isn't
entirely surprising. loud and hot-headed, this molly ru
ns on a short fuse, deemed no less than a ticking time
bomb of sorts, it isn't difficult to discover her true col-
ors. equinox is fiercely independent and forthright, th
us doesn't take well to authority and isn't afraid to ste
p beyond boundaries and rebel. strong-willed and part
icularly stubborn, the molly is rooted to her beliefs lik

ly trying to move rather large stones, thus its best to just not even bother, a mere waste of time ot
herwise. equinox is a proud molly, driven by a deep sense of ambition, hardly anything can stand in
her way. a skilled fighter, equinox is a formidable opponent in the art of combat, however tends to
be more brutish than a majority of mollies when it comes to such. she lives by the phrase 'respect -
is earned not given' and truly, her own is such a way, the same goes for her loyalty. such isn't somet
hing she gives freely, unless one has proven themselves worthy of such a treasure, don't be surprise
d when she leaves you to fend for yourself. she isn't the friendliest of cats, nor does she particularl
y care for being social, in her mind the world is a 'everyone for themselves' type of deal. though sh
e isn't good with emotions besides anger, she does harbor a protective and loyal spirit toward the f
ew she keeps close, to the point of becoming anxious or jealous when their attention is elsewhere.

there is such thing as the 'voice of reason.' there is als
o such a thing as the 'voice of sarcasm, skepticism and
negativity', which refers to this particular tom himself
closed-off and uncertain about many things, winter ty
pically retains a rather pessimistic mindset when it co
mes to viewing life, the thing is he simply doesn't voic
e the constant concerns that pop into his head, bottli-
ng such emotions up and storing them away for anoth-
er time. the lynx-point is closed-off and snappish, pus-
hing others away with his cold exterior, refusing to let
others in. while winter is among the most irritable feli
nes, the tom isn't one to simply complain for the sake-
of it. he is highly skeptical of change, generally the ty

pe to shy away from anything remotely new. in this sense, he's no less than afraid of things he real
ly shouldn't despite possessing a down-to-earth, logical mind. while he certainly isn't the type to vi
ew things in an optimistic manner nor constantly have his head in the clouds, his cowardice tends -
to cloud his better judgment, though is too proud to admit to his fears or seek out the reassurance
of another, for fear of being deemed a 'coward.' winter is heavily cautious and tends to map out po
ssibilities of the road ahead in his mind, though in the process can seem morbid and overwhelming
ly negative. he has no filter whatsoever and when he's not bringing the mood down, he'll be speaki
ng with a sarcastic tongue. even so, a warmer side lurks within him that does want the best for ot-
hers, but fails to actually be of any true support besides his intelligence and cautiousness. he caus
es more harm than good and partially knows this, but admitting to that would mean admitting to b
eing afraid of so many things. he merely wants to prove himself otherwise, but so far is doing anyt
hing but. there are ways he can get better, the only question is: is he willing to give it a chance? x
