Camp Information
Weapon(s): A compound bow with celestial bronze tipped arrows and a celestial bronze hunting knife for close range. The bow is from his mom, hence why it doesn’t have a travel version. He doesn’t have a great history with the Mist, so he avoided weapons that require it, however the knife does collapse for travel/repurposing.

He also has cuffs that cover his forearm from his wrist to his elbow, celestial bronze on the outside with deer hide interior (so they double as arm guards, he has a matching celestial bronze/deer hide finger tab) and a few of his arrows emit a noise when fired in a pitch that only dogs can hear that were made by a friend in Hephaestus cabin (now deceased, didn't return the next summer)

-Extremely good at mimicking animal calls. This could probably translate to voices as well, but Hank would never do that without consent and only launches into the most exaggerated impressions for comedic effects.
-Heals exceptionally fast. Hank tries to limit this as it requires a lot of energy and, if overused, can leave him in bed rest for days. But major injuries override this, causing him to become ill as his body focuses resources on the injured area.
-Can determine someone's injuries from a glance., including how severe they are. [But still is not healing inclined. He could tell you exactly what bone you'd broken, where and how, but would not be able to help]
-Great archer with any bow, but favors a compound because it’s what him and his mother used to hunt with

Ambrosia and nectar: Nectar is black coffee, which his mom would make for early morning hunts. Ambrosia is snap stew, like what they'd make in winter or on the rare occasion that he was befallen with the common cold.

Physical Description

Hank is 5’7” (~170 cm) (yeah, he’s a little salty about this) with a wiry build and broad shoulders. He has sun-blonded brown hair (honestly, it's mostly blond at this point) , which has grown out roughly and frames his face (He ties it up for archery as best he can, but it isn't quite long enough to stay). He has tan skin that almost seems to glow, a gift from his father. He also has a smattering of freckles, and cheek dimples that are often on display. He has mostly straight teeth, but with a little playful crookedness that adds a a joke to his grin.
He has green eyes that catch the light well and lend themselves to his overall "golden" appearance.

There’s a large scar on his left shin from a monster bite, but he has since covered it with a jackalope tattoo with help from Jamie. He wears shorts year-round to make sure that it is on full display. He also has several scars along his arms, from when he was trying out a knife trick and didn’t quite land it (he can slow down his healing process for minor injuries, as it takes a lot out of him). He’s always in a t-shirt (usually the Camp Half-Blood orange, but he owns a fair amount of tie-dyes as well as some tank tops), and is never seen without his quiver on his hip, and his bow strapped to his back.

Personality

Hank loves making new friends and helping new campers feel welcome. Being the best archer in the Apollo cabin has made him prideful and likes to show-off, even at inopportune times. He’s also very competitive, and will not let something rest.

Caring, but not clever. The type of person who would help you with your homework, but got themselves confused while trying to explain it. Just wants to have fun and seemingly lacks the ability to take his life seriously, but can be a good listener to others when needed. He'll always find the bright side of a situation, which is something he has had to learn, because not being able to comprehend the things that are trying to kill you is frustrating.

Likes: Campfires, meeting new people, training, playing with Izzy, keeping others safe, jackalopes, black coffee, telling tales, being outside, hay, stargazing and making up constellations,

Dislikes: Losing, standing still, being cooped up indoors, sugary beverages, rats,

Hank's fatal flaw is be that he is well-meaning, but rather oblivious to things left unsaid. As I mentioned before, the Mist is still hard for him to see through, even as a demigod, which is part of the reason he is careful not to tread on any toes. This has led to many a memorable situation, such as the time he accidently invited a monster to tea as he didn't want to be rude of it was an actual elderly lady asking him.

Despite his bravado, he is actually terrified of not knowing what a monster is, and there for not being able to defeat it. Even though he strongly protested spending all year at Camp, he is inwardly grateful that he won’t have to deal with as many monsters.

Quirks: Has a strange connection to jackalopes, and believes that they are real. To be fair, he isn't that far off considering that monsters are real. Nervous tick is scratching his neck. Thrives on attention. Don't ask him to cook unless you want to eat ash. While the ash is being lauded to immense heights by the cook.

Background

Spent his childhood with his mother, an avid hunter and big game guide in Wyoming, who also ran a charming country store with her homemade crafts. His mother appreciated the writers of the American Romantic period, hence him being named after Henry David Thoreau, her favorite author of that era. He had many experiences with "not-deer" (monsters, but the mist has always been thicker for him, so he had trouble identifying them) that he assumed everyone had, before having a chance encounter with a satyr who took pity on him and brought him to Camp. He prefers being just a summer camper, but his attracting monsters is bad for business back home. He loves the outdoors, and learned to mimic many animal calls while hunting with his mom, which his smooth singing voice also helped with.

He won the head counselor position last year in one of the cabin's traditional archery matches (yeah, Apollo kids ain't the brightest bulbs... but they are the shiniest!). He might not be the best choice, but he cares deeply about the other campers, and will do anything in his power to keep them safe, especially the younger ones.

Hank has a good relationship with his mother, and often sends her letters pridefully embellishing his exploits at camp.

He has never met his father*, but has never had the urge to. As he sees it, his father has never been a part of his life, only his mother. He’s not angry with his father, just neutral.

He gets along pretty well with his cabin mates, although he is also very competitive with the exception of music, where he’s usually happy to observe. (He could doesn’t have much experience with music, due to his isolated childhood, but he can play the harmonica exceptionally well and has a soothing singing voice)

Aoife [♥]- legally not allowed to be alone together because someone is going to do something stupid and die. They are a self-dubbed dynamic duo. No one else thinks so.

Chuck [♥]- Hank considers the satyr a good friend, especially since they have been double pranked together on several occasions. They can talk for hours about everything and nothing, and that's fun! (There is the added bonus for Chuck to be under the protection of Izzy when he's near Hnak, so that certainly doesn't hurt things.)

Dahlia [♡]- Cannot resist placing bets against her, even though he knows he won't win... maybe one of these days, right?

Delilah [♡]- A chill buddy. Also gives free hugs, so even though he doesn't know her inner working well, he considers her a friend

Emilios [♦]- He seems a bit abrupt and misguided (especially about Lucy!) But Hank thinks the man has potential, and that his powers are really cool

Jack [♡]- Chill buddies. Hank was a little put out when he learned that Jack wouldn't compete with him in knitting (come on bro, he had good reason...) but now they've settled down into something much less stressful, and Hank has learned somewhat how to knit in the process.

Jamie [♥]- They have a lot in common/shared interests, including art and animal loving. Jamie is also able to sketch out the monsters that always appear fuzzy due to his mist-issues.

Juliet [♡]- He thinks the Hermes camper is cool, if a little accident prone. She's fun, but sometimes she causes major issues.

Kade [♥]- Friends, they met when they were new campers together and has become closer with over the years. Appreciates his knowledge, and willingness to explain things.

Laika [♧]- They did not get off on the right foot, with Hank finding her overbearing and downright rude. Still, it was only their first encounter...

Leo [♡]- As Caleb's supposed fiance, Hank believes that Leo is a good guy, even if he did greet him with a punch to the face. Wedding stress is a thing, right?

Lucy [♥]- Believes that she is just "misunderstood" and takes her side in things. Fails to see her manipulation.

Mirabelle [♡]- Have an easy going relationship. They don't have the deepest relationship, but that's okay. Bonded over Izzy and shared counselor duties.

Sky [♡]- they have prank wars and goof off together. Hank downplays how much the her mist manipulation scares him, and puts on a brave face. He respects her as a fellow head counselor.

Vivienne [♤]- Hank is terrified of the former Khione camper. It was still early into his Camp Half-Blood career that she pulled her ice storm during a game of capture the flag, and if that wasn't scary enough in itself, he also got a massive headache from viewing the spectacle as the Mist searched for and explanation of the ministorm in the dead of summer.


NPCs

Dante [♦]- Won the counsel position from, they get along alright, at least in Hank's eyes. Meanwhile, Dante regrets his decisions.

Has an English Pointer dog named Izzy [♥♥♥], and she may or may not be a secret gift from his dad to help him determine what’s actually a monster. May or may not actually be a dog, but that’s also debatable (possibly a descendant of Artemis' hunting dogs). Can definitely see through the mist, and “points” at monsters when they are lurking near him. (If she’s not directly with Hank, may be used as an NPC, very outgoing and sweet, but picks up on things and is very protective of him). I guess you could describe her as a service dog? But Hank likes to pretend that he only needs her in battle, which can lead to some... interesting interactions with other campers.

• A set of celestial bronze butterfly knives, which transform into a skeletal silver butterfly necklace on a long chain and can
  be worn when not in use, she usually has them hidden under her hoodie (each transforms into one wing, and they connect magnetically to form the butterfly).
• A round shield, decorated with a sneering silver-teal dragon, and bedazzled with gemstones, that transforms into a bracelet with an intricate dragon center piece, via a few clicks. In this mode, it operates as a locket and can be opened to reveal different compartments based on how many times the centerpiece is tapped on before it is opened. The compartments include a make-up mirror (if not tapped), a clock and a compass (1 tap), a vial of nectar (2 taps), a chunk of ambrosia (3 taps) and a collection of hair bands (4 taps). There are 6 compartments total, but the last is unused currently. If need be, extra taps will bring you back around to the original compartments (ex. 7 taps brings you to the mirror and so on)

Physical Description

Ophelia is 6 feet (~183 cm) tall (slender, but heavy boned), with black, shoulder length hair, deep blue eyes, and olive skin.
(Long version of above) Ophelia is "old world" pretty. She has high cheek bones, but you can't see them very well unless she sucks in her cheeks/is at the right angle. Her skin doesn't freckle, so it's quite smooth, and her eyes are on the normal-slightly big range, but not as striking when she's looking down or away. If you weren't looking closely, you might assume her eyes are brown or hazel, but they're hard to miss when she's looking at you, and they're framed with long, dark, straight lashes. She's slender, but her bones are heavy). She would have a bit of a curve if she wore something that fit (thanks to her broad shoulders & hips), but as is, you might notice her shoulders if you're lucky.

She has a nose stud, along with 2 piercings in each ear that always have earrings in (typically hoops or studs, nothing that swings too much).

Ophelia doesn’t use makeup often, but when she does, she goes full out with dramatic looks that sometimes border on horrifying and always take hours to craft.

When Aphrodite insisted on prettying her up for a week, she rebelled by chopping her hair off roughly. It has since grown back some, and she regrets it big time as she didn't have as much hair to braid. She usually pulls up just enough to get it out of her face, but leaves the majority down.

Her style could be described as grunge, and only looks good on her cause she’s a daughter of Aphrodite (and even then, barely). She never wears clothes that fit, preferring battered and shapeless articles of clothing, and most of what she owns has been patched and repatched endlessly, some to the point where there is more new material than original garment. She almost always wears a battered grey hoodie, which faces the brunt of this treatment.

Personality & Background

Ophelia’s birth broke her father’s marriage. She learned about this around the time she found out she was a demigod, and channeled her guilt about it into anger. It hadn’t been her father’s only affair, but it was the only one that resulted in a child. He was a newsreporter, and it greatly damaged his reputation, forcing him to move and find a new job. He wasn’t good at much, forcing them to move many times to find new work during her childhood.

She was outraged when she learned that her mother was a goddess, and had allowed this to happen to her. She’s since come to accept her demigod status, but finds the idea of a “goddess of love” ridiculous and avoids connections with her.

Ophelia is quiet, but not shy. She will speak her mind, when she feels that it’s needed. She makes great observations and is fantastic at assessing a scene quickly. She would do anything to rebel against her mother, and that includes learning to fight, even if deep down it makes her squeamish, and she'd much rather weasel her way out of having to hold a weapon. She has a lot of pent up anger, and is often outwardly grumpy.

She takes a while to warm up to people, but once she makes a friend, she protects them at all costs. She tries to be logical, cold, and pessimistic about the world to avoid getting hurt, but sometimes the façade slips, and she shows how truly soft she is.

She also likes animals, especially Artemis’ wolves, which she frequently visits and sometimes uses to test armor (they couldn't care less, but she has found that they aren't immune to some treats).

She would be a hopeless romantic, but it would be falling right in to what her mom wants for her, so she tries to bury that part of herself.

Her fatal flaw is seeing potential rather than reality. She is also very sensitive, and will take things to heart when they come from someone she values. And given that she tries to see the value in everyone, well...

quirks; She gets cold very easily, has a habit of playing with her butterfly pendant when stressed or thinking. Prior to owning the pendant, her nerves manifested as tugging at her sleeves. Can tell when charmspeak is being used, and attempt to resist, but this will only be effective if the speaking is weak or doesn't believe in their words. If the speaker is strong and has extreme conviction, charmspeak is actually harder on her, though she still feels the undercurrent of manipulation, but is unlikely to try resisting. Ophelia also has anxiety, but has yet to be officially diagnosed.

Doesn’t get along with either of her parents, is now a full time camper.

She has 2 mortal half-sisters, one who is 4 months older than her. She has met them a few times, and would probably like them if the interactions weren't so tense for aforementioned reasons. Her half-sister's mother tried to take her in, but her dad refused to let her because Ophelia was his only connection to the elusive Aphrodite.

Begrudgingly likes having siblings and cabinmates, but won’t acknowledge parentage if avoidable.

It doesn't hurt that she likes his style, and will steal articles of clothing that are left unattended (the Aphrodite closets have the terrible habit of magically making any garment fit perfectly, so the communal closets are out for her own fashion sense). He's one of the few people she would give armour that she designs to, if she can ever get it just right...

Finds his attempts at friendship amusing, if a little annoying. Begrudgingly friends with after he helped her with Teilo and the Aftermath (is that a band ???)

Is wary of, because she hurt Mirabelle at some point. (Ophelia now knows why...partly) but hit it off pretty well all things considered. Would probably be friends in different circumstances

Laika's general attitude of needing to be the one in control leads to Ophelia stepping down from her usual levelheaded responsibility and into a more childlike role that she missed out on when she was younger. As such, they don't have the greatest relationship, and it's likely that Laika wonders how she got to be given so much sway in the first place

Avoids. She's heard of his temper and isn't in the business of fixing people.

Hates. Especially the part where she has a vendetta against Ophelia's favored sister. Would stab on sight, if only she had a reason...

Martial Arts: Kade is quite proficient in martial arts in the styles of Taekwondo and Hapkido, having learned it in case he ended up unarmed at some point.

Telumkenesis: Kade is learning the basics of Telumkenesis, as part of his wanting to understand everything, but he’s...not very good at it yet.

Dexterity and Craft: Kade has a lot of fine motor control and enjoys occupying his time weaving, painting, and sketching. He also has become quite the writer, as he takes a fascination is his own handwriting and is CONSTANTLY trying to make it neater.

Navigation and Cartography: Kade has a visual memory that’s very good for drawing maps, which he enjoys doing on occasion, and after he’s seen a place a few times, he can get a decent feel for it to navigate through nearby areas.

Physical Description

Kade is of slender build, with some visible muscle, but nothing excessive that stands out. He stands at just over 5'6, with light brown hair stopping just at the ears with the bangs swept away from either side of his forehead, with the ends dyed alternating light pink and sky blue. He has lightly tanned peach skin, and dark blue eyes. He doesn’t have any birthmarks, but he does have a small scar on his back close to his nape from an unfortunate run-in with a giant scorpion.

Kade doesn’t have a specific clothing style he uses consistently. Most of the time he just wears whatever is comfortable! His favourite is a white and blue jacket over a light grey t-shirt, and black pants, but he'll wear whatever works. He also has a fondness of scarves, even in the summer.

Personality & Background

P E R S O N A L I T Y:: Kade is social enough. He likes making friends, and is kind to anyone who’s kind to him. He’s not a courageous fellow, unfortunately, and hopes to work on becoming a braver soul in the near future. He wants to help those around him, and enjoys the little things in life. He’s a hard worker, and he’s loyal to a fault. He'll do absolutely anything for his loved ones, even if it means he himself gets in trouble. He takes his job very seriously, sometimes able to do a complete turnaround from casual to professional in a very short period of time as needed.

He might not look like much, but don't be fooled. Kade is an ambitious young man, though not in an aggressive way, per se, most of the time. He wants to earn his way through life through his own merits, with hopes of one day getting out into the real world and pursuing a career in acting, though granted, being the child of a major god, he doesn’t even know if that’s possible. Doesn’t mean he can’t wish though! He does have a slightly aggressive streak when he or someone he loves has been threatened, and occasionally he acts on that aggressive streak in order to protect his loved ones, making him a bit reckless at times.

Kade is a bit gullible, unfortunately, and quite clumsy. Also something he wants to work on. He has SEVERE anxiety, but isn’t afraid to stand up for those who cannot or will not stand up for themselves, but is more or less self-effacing and meek about himself and his own worth. He likes the thought of an adventure, but unless he’s pushed into it or feels strongly about the cause, he won’t go out of his way to take part in one. More than anything else though, he seeks acknowledgement from his friends, from his fellow campers, and even one day perhaps from his mother herself. However, acknowledgement and being in the spotlight frequently are two different things, and he’s so far not so fond of the latter.

Kade is fairly social, despite being excessively emotional, but when he has taken a particular interest in someone, romantically or otherwise, he has a tendency to stammer and get increasingly awkward. That aside, he’s a fairly intelligent young man, a good strategist, who is more than a little of a bookworm! He especially enjoys studying mythology (duh) and culture outside of their own, buuuuut he'll read just about anything someone throws at him, and can easily and will eagerly attempt to learn new languages as needed or desired, under the belief not of money or fame or fortune being importing, but that knowledge is power, and that power can be used for good. Kade can sometimes get confused, have random anxiety attacks, or have memory challenges even with things he’s only been recently told or experienced due to some considerable PTSD, buuuut he tries to keep it under control.


L I K E S: Kade appreciates gardening (to the degree some people thought once he was a child of Demeter) and bright, sunny days. He likes cold drinks, and curling up in front of a fire with his books or a board game on cold days. He loves to read, play games, trivia, write, anything that keeps his mind active.

H I S T O R Y: Kade can’t bring himself to talk much about his history. All he's willing to reveal so far is that two years ago while he was visiting his stepmother, he was in a terrible car accident with her. What he doesn’t admit was that dhe didn’t make it out, he did and was left with serious injuries and head trauma that led to considerable amnesia for a while. He refuses to tell people about the passing of his little sister to save his life as a kid, and about his father dying to cancer, preferring to keep such things to himself.

Athena- Kade has never met his mother personally, but he holds her in the highest respect, and often feels honoured to have been descended from her, of all the gods.

Anthony- Kade's father died when he was very young, but prior to that, they had a very good connection, and his father taught him many things he’s held onto.

P E R S O N A L I T Y::

Hunter is...quite the unique young man, to say the least. He bounces back and forth between being selfish and petty, and compassionate and gentle. Nobody can deny though that he loves his few friends dearly. He would go to the ends of the earth for his loved ones, and he knows they would do the same for him. He feels proud when he’s the person someone feels they can come to in order to confide in someone, and always does his best to honour his oath to keep things between them as needed, even though for the most part, Hunter is a very open person when expressing his opinions, and can often be brutally honest, to the point that he can be quite abrasive at times. He just says it how he sees it, and with the exception of friends and family- and sometimes even then, depending on the situation- he does not care how others take his words, what it makes them think or feel, as long as his opinion and/or the truth is out there. He dislikes lies with a passion, and will only tell a lie in order to protect someone. He never tells lies of any degree just for the heck of it. He always wants his opinion heard, even if it’s not his place to share.

Hunter is overprotective, and would gladly take a bullet for any of his friends- although such a situation would NOT be ideal- without a second thought, and is more than willing to resort to aggression, though generally not physical unless it’s an act of self-defence, if himself or one of his friends is threatened or attacked in ANY way. Hunter CAN unfortunately be physically aggressive when he loses his self-control, and is quite strong. He dislikes getting in physical fights as much as shooting verbal barbs back and forth, but certainly is not afraid to jump in on a fight, fists or weapons, if a situation calls for it.
Hunter is not excessively emotional himself, preferring to deal with his emotions on his own as much as he can, but he’s very empathetic and tuned into the emotions of those around him. Hunter has some lack of social skills and doesn’t often know how to approach a situation and comfort someone, especially someone he doesn’t know well, but to his credit, he always does his best. What hurts him more than any physical blow or sharp words is when he sees someone in tears. Someone struggling with emotional pain, in his opinion, isn’t given enough recognition, even though it’s generally much harder to deal with than any bruises or cuts.

Hunter enjoys friendly- and sometimes not so friendly- banter and teasing, poking fun at people. It’s his best way of knowing how to interact, as he has a hard time starting sincere conversations. However, he has the flaw that once he’s started, he doesn’t really know when to quit, and has a hard time reading other people's facial expressions if he doesn’t know them well. He isn’t a huge fan of large social events, though is not AFRAID of them.
Hunter often takes notes on people around him to see if he feels right approaching them, and does not seem to care if anyone finds this creepy or stalker-like, as on the surface he acts as if he does not care what others around him think of him. However, under the surface, he cares greatly for his reputation, and outside of note-taking, he TRIES to watch his step, and the only time he will abandon this mindset is for the sake of a loved one.

Hunter is very determined and generally patient with those around him. He won’t give up on someone or something unless a situation is truly impossible, and scoffs at those who won't give up on the impossible. He’s NOT humble by any means, but at the same time, he has enough recognition to realize that in the first place, and to realize others helped him get to where he stands to this day, although perhaps a bit grudgingly. Hunter can be soft and gentle with his loved ones when he tries, a side not many people see. He wants to help people, though rarely at the cost of his own safety or comfort.

Hunter is prideful in all his skills, and easily surprised. Upon finding out about his abilities, he was a mix of shocked and gleeful, believing it set him apart from and made him more outstanding than many of the people around him, and often did not heed his mother's warnings to be careful of what he says and does about it, which has more than once led to trouble. With the help of his mother and Kade, Hunter eventually began to learn general self-control, and can usually keep himself calm under pressure.

Advanced Martial Arts: Karter is very proficient in the style of Taekwondo martial arts, with focus more on defence than attack, but capability in both areas.

Dexterity and Craft: Karter prides himself on his ability to do things such as untie small knots, pick locks, and build small objects. He especially enjoys building explosive objects. He once believed he was a son of Hermes with his various skills.

Speed: Karter is exceptionally fast for someone of his age and stature, and prides himself GREATLY on his speed.

Physical Description


Karter stands at 5'6, barely, and is of slim, lean build. He has ghostly pale skin, blue-flecked hazel eyes, and soft, androgynous facial features. He has uncooperative chocolate brown hair sweeping over over eye and wears faded jeans and a black hoodie that he absolutely REFUSES to take off! (I’ll include a pic that was drawn for me of him, quite accurate!)

Personality & Background

P E R S O N A L I T Y:: Karter is sarcastic, and generally distant. He prefers to avoid company if possible, preferring to focus on doing things on his own. He’s determined to a fault, and once he’s set his mind to something, it WILL get done. He has skills in plenty, and often he brags about them. He’s snappish and more than willing to fight whenever he’s driven over the edge, and there are a good few things that will send Karter into a rage.
He’s never one to skip out on a fight, and despite his physical challenges, he’s often the one to throw the first punch, and prompts attackers to try and get them revved up, loving the adrenaline. When put in serious danger, however, Karter will do almost anything to escape and values nobody more than himself. He won’t risk his own neck for almost anyone else's. He finds a few rare people and connects with them, and they’re the only ones who have his true trust. Karter is an anxious individual, and has as such trained himself to be a natural actor. He's had no choice. He’s very aware and alert to what’s around him, but one thing always goes over his head. The idea that someone might care about him. GENUINELY care about him, is ridiculous. If anyone shows signs of affection or liking, it'll go over his head and the answer in his mind will most likely be either "that was weird." Or "they're trying to lower my guard." He's very instinctive, and always follows his gut feeling. He has sharp senses, and does his best to put them to good use, priding himself on even that. He’s aware of his depression, and embraces it as part of him, welcoming even his negative traits. He can be quite reckless and doesn’t always think before he acts, going primarily on his emotions at any given time.

Karter will do anything to benefit himself, even if it means working for all the wrong people, or doing all the wrong things. In the end, he doesn't WANT to inflict harm on others in the long-run. He doesn’t WANT to be seen as the 'bad-guy' although he is FULLY aware that in the eyes of many, that’s the role he plays. The antagonist, even in little situations. Bad guy, he can deal with for himself. He knows he has some things about him that would cause people to think of him that way, and he has learned to accept that. He doesn’t want to be the good guy either though for fear of the spotlight. He’s aware of his flaws, and will even acknowledge them, sometimes to the face of others. Karter acknowledges them, but he doesn’t pride himself on them.
He is very aware of what his actions do to those around him... and he is very aware that he doesn’t care. He continually challenges people and puts himself in... precarious situations just for the adrenaline rush, and is quite confident in himself, even if it’s not always for the better. He doesn’t seem to care about most of the consequences of his actions, and hides his insecurities under a veil of false courage, sarcasm, and snappishness.

Karter is flighty, and liable to run from situations, even if it leaves others at risk. He’s selfish and he knows if, and sadly, he has no wish to change things on that front. He feels insecure about a number of things, and for this reason he wears his hoodie constantly, and someone bugging him to take it off- even if just idly- can cause him to snap. It gives him a way to hide, to pull up his hood and hide from the rest of the world. He hates being touched and ordered around by most people, more than anything, and it’ll hit a sensitive point for him.

Karter does have a soft and supportive side, a side that connects to someone. Once he’s connected to someone, he'll stick with them as long as possible. He tries not to become reliant on them, but this rarely works, as he’s spent too long on his own, trying to do everything himself and never admitting that he can’t. He doesn’t want to admit that he craves attention, even if he tries to deny it. That he WANTS someone to care, he WANTS someone who he can turn to, even if he doesn’t believe in his heart that it’s possible. Someone he can trust- despite his numerous trust issues- and someone who can trust him. In turn, he offers support, that trust, and endless love. He would go out of his way and do absolutely anything on earth for these people. He hates showing the softer side of himself, even though he acknowledges that it exists.


H I S T O R Y:: Little is known of Karter's history. All he’s willing to admit is that he’s been more or less alone for a while, save for a big sister who raised him, and that he’s been on the run. Everything else, he keeps under wraps.

Hades- Karter has never met his godly father, but appreciates being of his blood, having taken great appreciation in the abilities it’s given him, and knowing he has at least one parent- regardless of whether his father cares about him or not- who's still out there.

Thomas- Karter hates his stepfather with a PASSION, and with good reason! After pieces of his history he won’t reveal, Karter has a strong rivalry with his stepfather. MORE than rivalry, as given the chance, the two would and have tried to literally kill each other.

Jennifer- Karter loved and respected his mother very much, and the worst day of his life was the day he lost her, knowing that while he had tried his hardest, he could not save her, having been so young. Her death has left him bitter and feeling more alone than anything else.

Toby and Cole- Karter didn’t have a strong connection with his older brother Toby, but he had a VERY strong connection with the eldest of their siblings, Cole. Cole was Karter's protector, best friend, big brother, and confidant, until the day he ran away. Karter has not heard from him and highly doubts his survival.

Lashonna- Karter twin sister drove him up the wall 90% of the time, the two always mocking and irritating each other. They had a friendly rivalry, and Karter often expressed annoyance, but when she disappeared with Cole, he expressed great worry and tried and failed to find her.

Nova- Nova was an older sister of Karter's whom he was very close to. When she died with their mother, he grew incredibly angry, and had to be restrained from acting on that anger.

June and Forest- Karter's younger sisters. He was closer to June than Forest, but still loved them both dearly, and they him in return.

Addilyn- Addilyn is Karter's eldest sister, who raised him. He’s always had a very strong connection with her, and will do anything and everything to keep her safe, just as she protected him. If someone speaks ill of or tries to hurt her, he will have no qualms in attacking them. She adores him, flaws and all, and tries to help him, and it’s only because of that love that Karter realizes it's possible for anyone to have genuine care about him at all.

When are we thinking to start? I’m excited! This's going to be my first time taking part in a Camp Half-Blood RP (though I assure you I’m no stranger to the series. I’ve probably memorized the whole thing)
