Ara tends to follow her heart, and will break rules if she thinks that she ought
to for the good of the people (or elves, in her case). She's very stubborn and
she will not be moved from a goal once she makes it. She wants to live her
own life, alone, and has no want to be married off. She's very kind and will go
to great lengths to help someone.She has a very short temper which will often
explode if something or someone sets her off. She doesn't hold grudges though,
well, she will if one does something really bad. She dislikes rules immensely.
She tends to keep to herself, mostly, and rarely lets her emotions out (except
for her temper and her kind streak), and she doesn't do the best socially. She
prefers to be alone rather than with another elf.
Ara is extremely intelligent and wise (in fact, her name means 'noble and wise')
and does her best to offer good advice. She loves to read and can often be
found in a tree, reading. If she gets angry, she will often flee the room or
wherever she is to climb up a tree or something and sit and sulk try to
calm down. Even though she is considered an adult, she does have her times
where she behaves like a little child.

Ara tends to wear browns and greens to blend in with the forest around her.
She's wearing her battle armour in the image above. She has beautiful long
bright auburn hair that she tends to braid or leave loose. In battle, she'll put
it up in a very tight bun to keep it out of her way and out of her face. She
likes to stick the occasional feather in there. The rest of the time, she'll wear
a one-shoulder leather dress with some form of boots, and absolutely refuses
to wear any other sort of dress (mostly because she thinks the others are
impossible to move in and look silly). She tends to keep a pair of oak-handled
daggers on her at all times, as well as her bow, which is a beautiful black-
wood recurve bow. Her sword can always be found strapped to her waist. She
carries a shoulder bag/satchel with her at all times that contains a book and
various other odds and ends, such as bowstring wax.

Jace is generally a very stoic and taciturn young man. He tends to keep to
himself. He's extremely loyal to the people of his country, even if it means
doing things that he's not so proud of. He's very respectful and diligent and will
get things done when he says he will.
Sometimes he does overwork himself too much when he's working on something.
He will do his best on everything and will make sure that any flaw is gone
before the weapon leaves his workshop.
He's a very kind person and will help others in need, usually silently. He has
very good ideas but rarely will say them from fear of saying or doing something
wrong. He has a tendency to immensely dislike slackers.
He does his best to please people to the best of his ability. He's always very
calm and sensible, and never seems to show any emotions. He has a hard time
socially and tends to start talking about work when he has nothing else to do.

His work is absolutely stunning and he's in fact quite famous for his bowmaking.
He makes any type of bow from crossbows, to recurves, to longbows, and he
also makes arrows, extra strings, and a special type of string wax that is meant
to make the string waterproof, as well as waxing it. He enjoys his work and in
fact will purchase his own bowmaking wood as well as overseeing the tree
coming down. He handmakes every single one of his bows.

Jace has lanky dark blonde hair that he rarely does anything to. It generally
hangs in front of his eyes and he'll blow it out of the way when he's working,
but when in a professional situation, he'll make sure to brush it out of the way.
He tends to wear dark brown tunics and pants as well as a pair of boots. He
will dress up a bit nicer when meeting a customer. He has bright blue eyes
that are often hidden by his hair. He's quite tall for a human, around six feet.
He has slightly tanned skin and he seems to be quite strong.

♕ History -
Aria started her training as a warrior, believing that it was her civil duty to protect and serve her people. As she progressed, however, she found that she was not only terrible with a blade, but her archery skills were dismal. She didn't like the idea of wounding another, and felt like she always disappointed those around her. What Aria did have a talent for, however, was water manipulation. Though there were other elves, of course, that could also bend and use water, Aria seemed to have a specific talent for it. She would spend days wandering the forest, trying new things with her ability to control water. Finally, she applied it to healing, and decided that she could serve her society by helping the fallen. She uses water like a healing serum, and is able to use it to heal minor cuts and bruises. She does have her unique sword; it hangs on a wall in her apothecary. She has an unusual relationship with said sword. It is perfectly balanced, and she named it lírë, meaning song, or poem. Aria uses it more for inspiration than for battle.

♕ Personality -
Aria is quiet and sweet, and bent on being an asset to society. She knows that she can't do much in the area of fighting; her talent rests in healing and helping the poor. She is kind, soft-spoken, and easy to get along with. If one was to get into a dispute, it would not be with Aria. On the contrary, she'd be the one mediating it and telling everyone to look inside themselves for the answer. She has a beautiful singing voice (hence the name 'Aria') and uses it to compose poems and songs, explaining the way she feels and she events she has seen. She is also quite adept at the harp, and serves as kind of a minstrel for her village.

Aria is a little on the shorter side, for an elf, standing only 5'5". She has beautiful blonde hair that she keeps tied in a braid, and icy blue eyes. If Aria was ever to be angry (which she hardly ever is) storms would start to brew in those eyes. She has a few freckles across the bridge of her nose, which she absolutely hates. She has dimples when she smiles, and she smiles a lot.

♕ History -
Rao was a troubled young man. His village was attacked by the elves when he was fourteen; they killed his family in the mad violence, and left him alone. He wished desperately that he could have saved his people, or that he could have been slaughtered alongside them. Not sure where to go or what to do, Rao wandered the countryside for days, searching for a purpose, or even a sign from some higher power. Finally, he came upon the capital of Verbrone. The army garrison took him in as a stable boy, and he watched for hours as they trained, soaking in every move, every command. Alas, he never got the chance to prove himself. One day, when Rao was sixteen, he was yelled at by one of the commanding officers for not properly mucking out the stalls. Tired of being stepped on by the higher ups, Rao challenged the man to a duel. They set up the arena, Rao with the sword of a lowly trainee, and the officer with his own hand-crafted weapon of glory. And yet, even strength must bow to wisdom. Rao easily outsmarted the other man, finally earning him respect around the garrison. Things only went up from there. Rao was crowned captain of the guard by the time he was eighteen, six years ago.

♕ Personality -
He is a good, charismatic leader with much respect for those who seem invisible, but undoubtedly hoist the army on their shoulders just by existing and performing laborious tasks. Rao is not bloodthirsty; he would never hurt someone just because, and always looks for the good in people before casting final judgement. He wishes that this war did not have to be, but is a loyal Captain, always serving the order of the king and queen. Rao likes to be alone, but he isn't anti social. He just doesn't invest his time completely in relationships, and evokes his life to his work.

Rao is extremely adept with a sword. He is clever, and knows how to use not just his strength, but also his wits on the battle field, making him a very powerful adversary. He is calm and meditative, so he can manipulate his energy to his advantage. Despite all of this, Rao has never been particularly good at weaving spells. He prefers to channel physical energy, rather than the arcane.

Rao stands around 6', and has warm brown eyes and messy brown hair. He can sometimes come across as a little scruffy, but he merely doesn't care that much about his physical appearance. He has a kind demeanor about him, but it is rare to see him smile, as he is often just in his own world.

Ah, I'm so excited for this role play! I love the connections to Tolkien's work, and I've always been a fan of the Lord of the Rings :3
