➳ Meet the book loving girl of big sweatshirts and few words. Niomi is known in her school, not for being 'popular', but for being the one that everyone sees sitting quietly with a book in hand. She is someone who reads books to escape the harsh reality that she lives in. No, its not like she hates her life or that she stays oblivious to the world, it's just that sometimes life becomes a little too much for her. Niomi is a quiet girl who prefers to keep quiet in class and she prefers a small group of friends who she can rely on rather than a huge group of friends. She doesn't really belive in changing just to be 'popular'. But don't excuse her shyness for carelessness because she is anything but careless. Niomi is very thoughtful and intelligent, even though she seems as if she isn't paying attention she actually is. Niomi is always listening and this often helps in school, though if someone happens to ask her about what she heard she stutters and flushes a deep shade of red. Niomi is also jumpy at times and most of the time very gullible. She is sometimes self concious, but with a small pep talk inside of her head she will be able to pull herself out of it. Finally, Niomi is very gentle and will try her best to help anyone in need, but if it comes to injuries or blood she'll freeze up. One secret that she keeps from mostly everyone is that she has social anxiety, she usually just keeps quiet and tries her best to not let it show. When she tries to talk to someone or has to present something in front of a large group of people her heart beats rapidly and her hands start to shake. Though, this doesn't happen when she is speaking to someone she knows.


Niomi was born on the bright morning of August 7. She was born three years after her older sister, Holly, and her younger brother, Lucas, was born five years after her birth. Niomi, for most of her life, grew up as the middle child, which made some problems in her life. She was often forgotten because she was thought to be the good child who didn't need lots of attention when all she wanted was more attention. Niomi doesn't blame her parents though, she knew that they just had a lot to deal with so she resorted to books and the few friends she had at school. Now, with the chance to escape her life for a while she reluctantly chose to leave, offering to bring extra food and some money. She also had something else influencing her, though she would never tell what it is.

History ✓ "My parents, both busy workers, have planned my life out since day one. My father, Mortimer Abernathy, is a surgeon and isn't home much. Which isn't a big shocker. My mother, Rebecca Abernathy, works constantly as a publicists for different famous people. I'm not really sure who she works for. She is home, but not really available to talk to. Even though my parents are busy most of the time I have an expectation to up hold at home. I guess there could be many ways to describe my personality. Let's see. First, I can be brutally honest unless it's going to tear the person to pieces. My parents loved to travel to play music and I went with them, watching them and their bands on the stage. I wanted to be just like them. When I was about 2, we moved here to start a new life after my dad nearly died from alcohol poisoning. He's stopped drinking ever since, which is a good thing. niomi - she seems pretty smart. he might have her for one or two classes, but he's never really talked to her or given her a second thought. he might recall sitting next to her once and copying her test answers. maybe...anyways it wouldnt matter, right? graham personally would consider niomi an easy friend to make, if he tried befriending her.
but he wants to focus more on the trip then the people.

adam - adam reminds graham of the little kid on the playground who had no one to play with. its a little sad, but he seems okay by himself. he seems like pleasant company, when graham would like to get away from the rowdiness of the student body, and the giant migraine school gives him.

daxton - graham doesnt know how to feel about daxton. at first glance, he seems like your cliche loner. dark, brooding with a hint of mysteriousness, like the type you would read about in a book. giving off an unwelcoming aura, graham isnt sure that'd he'd like to be around the boy. graham isnt really the type for long term friendship, where all he does is try to break someone's shell.

charlotte - she seems stuck up. he wished he was as organized and well prepared as her, it makes him incredibly jealous. he doesnt dislike her...graham is just envious of her. he doesnt wish to talk to her, his rude side would come out and probably make several snarky comments, all along the lines of "nerd" and "geek".

avalon - if he had to choose someone who was most like him, it would probably be avalon. without her organizing the trip, he would spend his last week of high school stuck in a stuffy classroom filled with people he doesnt care about. he feels very grateful towards her. if on the trip she asked him to jump off a cliff into a chilly river with only his underwear on, he would do it.

carolina - he loves the girls honesty. however she does seem very outgoing, which can exhaust him quickly. she seems like the kind of person that graham would normally associate himself with at school. he wouldn't be surprised if they had one or more friends in common. he doesnt exactly like his group of friends at school, so he cant help but associate that bitter feeling with her as well.

fraser - fraser and graham are the complete opposites of each other. fraser worries, while graham doesnt think of the consequences. while they might have their differences, but graham would like to befriend the boy. he feels fraser could keep him more stable then he currently is. sometimes graham goes off his rocker, and he needs a friend to keep him grounded to earth.
