yuzuki saito (or yuzu, if you'd like to get a punch in the face) is a 22 year old steam engineer who has
a knack for taking beat-up junk and turning it into something ... mildly useable. admittedly, she's still
learning tricks of her trade - but even though she's not the most talented engineer in kyoto, yuzu makes
up for it with spirit, sharp wit and distinctly colourful vocabulary. she's gutsy and won't shy away from
doing the resistance's dirty work. she is disgusted by the ignorance of the upper classes towards people
like herself who have had to claw their way out from the underbelly of the city in order to escape an
even harder life, and joined the resistance as soon as she discovered its existence. yuzuki currently works
for a small engineering service, and is often called upon to perform maintenance on steam-powered train
engines, boilers, steam and gas turbines, and other miscellaneous mechanical equipment.

history; rose wasn't natively from japan. her mother, always at home, taught her the family art of seamstressing while her father was away on business trips. as she began to grow more practiced in the art, she also witnessed the falling of the system within japan, and witnessed her own family's unraveling due to it. soon enough her father was targeted by loan sharks wanting their money back. her mother, fearing her health and safety, left her father and took her somewhere else in hopes that she could stay safe for longer than would have been possible otherwise. now without a father, rose and her mother continued their seaming and stitching, beginning to sell clothing for cheap on the streets, getting whatever they could get for their work. she met friends that didn't stay long, and friends she saw for a while longer. she lived with her mother for a very long time up until the her death when rose was seventeen. rose continued working for the minimum she could get for a while longer before joining the rebellion, wanting to change the ways while helping to make sure the children on the streets didn't end up alone.

despite his brightly dyed hair, usually the
impression people get from itsuki at their
first meeting is a an everyday man - your
average joe. operating kyoto city's single
underground train makes him sort of the
guy everyone knows about, but very few
claim to really know. itsuki's mannerisms
and overall aura may make him appear to
be rather lazy, but once he puts his mind
to something he's quite the hard worker.
it's no secret that he's supportive of who
ever comes to him, and it's quite simple
to ask him for a favor at any given time
