Description: Nelaine is on the average size, standing at a height of five feet and six inches. Due to her years of training, she has a lithe yes somewhat muscular build and a warm tan on her normally fair skin. She has almond shape eyes on a heart shaped face that is mostly flawless except for the scar on the right side of her face that goes from right under her eye to her chin that is a few shades lighter than her tanned skin. Her eyes are a rich forest green in color with golden brown hair that falls to her shoulders. Her hair is generally kept pulled back except for early mornings, evenings, and free days. She has several other scars on herself but the majority are covered due to where they are placed with her only other visible ones being on her left arm and one on her lower left leg that is only visible when she is wearing shorts. Nelaine is usually found wearing close fitting clothing.

Ability: Fire Manipulation
Personality: While Nelaine had originally planned on getting into a position of leadership further into her time with the riders, she quickly adapted to her role. She is not that type of leader who expects to be followed without question and often encourages those under her command to ask questions and think of tasks to make their goal easier to obtain. One of her main goals is to not end up like her father who let power get to his head and become a leader people didn't want to be under. Nelaine values having breaks to rest so when she notices someone under her command is performing under their usual level or has not had a break in a while, she would give them the day off to have some free time. Despite this, she herself has trouble following that since one of her goals, though kept secret, is to find the person responsible for the death of her father but usually Valerys makes her take breaks when she can sense that Nelaine has been neglecting taking care of herself
Bio: Nelaine grew up in a family that is known to have at least one dragon rider per generation. As a result, with her being the eldest and more outgoing among her siblings, it was expected of her to find a dragon willing to bond her. While she got the usual education, she was also taught about dragon lore and how to fight. This caused her to be a bit distant with her younger siblings since she had far less free time then them and also had far less leniency with bending or breaking the rules. Nevertheless, Nelaine kept some form of relationship with them up until the day she left to start her journey. It was near the end of her journey, that Nelaine encountered Valerys whom at first did not want to bond with the human. But after Nelaine was attacked by a couple of outlaws and managed to drive them off, though she did get rather injured from it, she felt the feathered dragon form a bond with her and carried her to Blackpeak to be healed. A few years prior, her father, whom used to be a rider, was killed while visiting a city far away from Blackpeak but the culprit has yet to be identified

Description: Valerys is an average sized female that is covered in feathers rather than scales with wings that look more bird like compared to the typical wings of dragons. Her feather coloring resembles that of a phoenix with the bight red color with traces of orange that is mainly on her underside and scattered throughout feathers. Due to her more bird like appearance, Valerys has no spikes on her neck or back. Instead of spikes, her head is crowned in longer feathers. While her feet resemble that of a typical dragon rather than bird, the talons are more on the curved side and black in color. Her eyes are gold in color and her tail ends in long feathers. Her wings, base of head, and end of tail has her longest feathers while those on her neck, main body and tail, and legs are on the shorter side
Personality: Depending on her mood and who she is interacting with, Valerys can have two very different personalities. With those she trusts, she can be a bit laid back and easy going and often found basking in the sunlight. On the other hand, if she is with those she considers strangers, the dragoness has a fierce side to her and will snap at anyone who gets too close or offends her, even by accident. Her bonded is no exception to her fierce side since she often has to use that side to get Nelaine to take breaks. During the colder months or during occasions of long, heavy storms, Valerys can become quite snappy to everyone and only a select few can approach her while she is in that mood. Valerys is not a morning dragon and can often be found buried in her hoard of fine cloth since she loves the feel of it against her feathers.
Other: She is able to set herself aflame via Self-Combustion and the fire does not harm her bonded if her bonded in astride her. Her hoard is that of fine or soft cloth like silk or finely woven cotton

She didn’t really interact with anyone except Rosa…so could I just say she left the village?
If I have to kill her off, I will.
I’m probably not going to replace her though, since I want to keep my numbers even.

I was going to ask if the animal rescue owner could be an NPC though.

alright. also since I put a hint to Meldrick's true allegiance in my last post, going to say that he is the one that killed Nelaine's father but going to keep the reason why a secret for now. Not sure on if I want the rider's identity to come out or not but I have been wanting to have the reason why he joined the Fades is to get revenge on a rider
