She requested the change upon her leadership ceremony because she felt it would be an easier name to go by, essentially she just chose her suffix over her prefix as her prefix for her leader name because she wanted to! I've always tended to headcanon a leader can chose between their prefix and their suffix for their prefix as leader, she's just really the first character of mine I've shown it in!
