Personality
General: Oliver Is timid when approached with new things, due to being hunted he's now paranoid and doesn't trust easy. He's a nice guy but you'd only know that for sure if you break through his shell. He keeps his weapons on his person at all times in case of any trouble but keeps them in spots that are hidden from the eye. Oliver is still very unaware of the technological advances and prefers to write everything down in a journal he keeps in his coat and will write notes to people all the time.
Background: Oliver's village was in disarray for months. The people were reporting having terrible nightmares. Then rumors spread about people seeing ghoul like figures lingering around Oliver's home and the villagers demanded a trail. The counsel went to gather him but Oliver had already fled. He came across this building later to be known as the Lotus Casino and took refuge. In fear of being hunted he stayed at the casino full well knowing what kind of place it is. He kept up with dialect by listening to all the new people who come in.

    Having spent most of her life on the run, Evie is restless and never seems to stop moving. She doesn’t make friends easily, as she treats everyone with the same harsh, abrasive attitude. Having learnt early on the risks of opening up and letting people in, she consistently keeps people at a distance and always keeps her guard up. The most she looks for in people is what she can get from them. She’s quick to anger, and not afraid to be the first one to throw a punch. Stubborn and impulsive, she doesn’t listen to advice from anyone, and tends to do the opposite of what she’s told. Evie is independent to a fault, and only ever thinks of herself, not worrying about or caring how her words or actions will affect others.

    The beginning of Evie’s life she was surrounded by wealth. Though her father was elusive about what he did for work, her and her older brother were given everything they could possibly want. When she was five, she began going to camp with her brother during the summer. Their father was arrested and sent to prison when she was seven, leaving Evie in the care of her older brother, who had only just turned eighteen at the time. Her brother began to get involved with the gang their father had worked for, and three years later, he went missing. Evie was sent to live with her grandparents, who didn’t want her to suffer the same fate as her father and brother and attempted to raise her “properly”. This only caused Evie to rebel more, and after a year of living with them, she ran away. Still in possession of some of her father’s money, she used this to travel, never staying in one place for too long. Not long after her sixteenth birthday, when she was beginning to think she’d finally escaped her past, Evie was kidnapped and brought to an abandoned factory. There she found out that her brother was still alive. She was threatened and forced to choose between her brother’s life, her father’s money, or killing the man who was threatening them. In the end, her brother was killed and Evie burnt the factory to the ground using her powers. She continued to live on the run, only coming to camp during summers to train. Eventually, she ran out of money and had to make do with what she had. Because of this, most of her clothes are old, worn out and don’t fit her properly, but she refuses to take anything offered to her.

Physical Description
The Looks;; Drew stands 6 foot 2 or 188 centimeters tall. He's bulky, naturally built to be a fighter with a certain grit and determination that goes just beyond just his physical appearance. His hair is dark brown, almost chocolate colored, and well-kept. His hair is long enough to run his fingers through, but not long enough to tie back or even fall over his ears, typically described as a jock or 'bad boy' type look. His eyes are a dark brown to match, but distinct in their own way with light hazel flecks in the southern hemisphere of both of his irises.

Scars/Tattoos/Birthmarks;; A thick scar runs down his left shoulder blade from an unfortunate run-in with a lycanthrope. The quick intervention on behalf of the camp, which he happened to live near by the grace of the gods, prevented him from suffering a bite to turn him, only a scratch to leave a rather nasty looking scar and leave him with a story to talk about during training in order to scare new members into minding the Camp Half-Blood borders.

Style;; Drew likes to dress practically: a leather jacket to buffer the wind, jeans that are easy to move in and a simple plain t-shirt. He always has running shoes on in the event he needs to bolt from a situation... and he often has some kind of necklace around his neck. His favorite is an arrowhead necklace he got from his father on his 12th birthday, when his father came home from a business trip.

Personality & Background
Drew had an interesting childhood. His mother was never around, and his father claimed she ran off after he was born and never looked back. His father was always busy and always working. To say that his father was a little spiteful that his mother was a Goddess is an understatement, and as a result he never really knew of her or considered himself to even have a mother. He grew up a quiet child, surrounded by nannies while his father worked... he still had his own interests. He loved to explore, loved nature and reading and learning. The dyslexia made learning difficult, but he managed after being diagnosed with it at a young age. What he didn't realize was that the reason he was dyslexic was because his mind was hardwired for ancient Greek. His father returned from a business trip for his 12th birthday with the gift of an arrowhead necklace. He almost never takes it off, and it's been with him every since.

When he was 13, he was out in the woods near his house, having snuck out, when he had the misfortune to stumble across a Lycanthrope named Andrea. It just so happened that a team had been tracking the Lycanthrope for targeting Demigods in the area... and that was how he was introduced to the idea that the Greek Gods were real, and more than that, his mother was one of them. He was taken to Camp Half-Blood, though he refused to leave his home without his pet German Shepherd, Luna. There, he was sorted into Hermes until the time in which his mother claimed him. In all honesty, there was a part of him who didn't want to know which of the Greek goddesses was his mother. However, he was claimed by his mother Athena shortly after his arrival at the camp. He started to train, showing a natural ability with the long-ranged weapons such as kunai, throwing axes, long-bows and short-bows. It fit his personality well because he was a distant person. He struggled to make connections with people and much preferred the presence of animals, leaving him a little socially awkward and often stumbling and stuttering over his words.

Bident
    A Stygian Iron bident gifted to him by his father. The Mist often makes it look like a fancy cane or a staff. He has tried out a variety of names for it, but none seem to fit as of yet.

Powers
Umbrakinesis
    The ability to summon and manipulate darkness. This includes a variety of abilities such as:
    Shadow Travel - Ambrose can use shadows as a way of transportation. He can travel to anywhere in the world or the Underworld, though great distances tend to sap his energy.
    Darkness Generation - Ambrose can solidify shadows to shoot bolts of darkness, form nearly impenetrable shields, and temporarily blind enemies by surrounding them in pitch-black clouds of lightless space. Ambrose usually only uses this ability to shoot shadow bolts from his fingers, though can do much more with it if he sets his mind to it. He enjoys using it as a party trick.
    Invisibility - Ambrose can use shadows to cover himself in darkness and become invisible. This takes a decent amount of concentration, and as such Ambrose only really uses it to get himself out of potentially dangerous situations.
Necromancy
    The ability to to summon and control the dead. This includes a range of other more minor powers such as:
    Osteokinesis - the ability to summon, manipulate, and control bones. Ambrose has control over bones of skeletons, such as summoning skeletal warriors or destroying them. He cannot manipulate the bones of a living creature; only a dead or undead one.
    Power Over Deceased Souls - Ambrose can summon souls of the deceased by digging a pit, filling it with food and chanting in Ancient Greek. He can physically touch and manipulate spirits, even forcing them to be silent with a simple gesture. He can also communicate telepathically with ghosts.
    Death Sense - Ambrose is innately sensitive to death, and can often sense it before it comes or when it is happening. This includes when an immortal is fading. When a person close to him dies, his ears begin to ring and his breath catches in his chest. It's almost like a panic attack, but the anxiety is replaced with a cold, uneasy certainty. Ambrose can also innately see and sense someone's life aura.
Geokinesis
    The ability to manipulate earth. Geokinesis is the ability most strongly tied to Ambrose's emotions; fissures tend to open up in the ground when he gets upset. He mostly uses Geokinesis in the form of Ferrokinesis; the ability to summon, control and manipulate all precious metals and jewels. He naturally has a lot of knowledge on metals and jewels without ever having to study them - he could have a real career as a jeweller in his future.
    Using Ferrokinesis, Ambrose can do things such as:
    - levitate gemstones and metals.
    - uproot wealth from the earth that may cause misfortune to others.
    - detect nearby precious metals, ores and gems.
    - weld metals and ores, synthesise alloys, and purify metals without the use of heat.
    - use heavy metals to poison somebody.
    - reinforce a weapon's durability by increasing the metal's tensile strength.


Skills
Sleight of Hand
    Not only is Ambrose an excellent thief when he applies himself, but he is a master of illusion. Even without the aid of his Umbrakinesis, Ambrose is deft-fingered and sneaky. The Hermes kids seem to like him for this reason.
Dead-Eye Shot
    Though Ambrose may be a horrid melee combatant, his aim with ranged weapons is often impeccable. He is best shooting shadow bolts from his fingers, but pistols, bows, and other ranged weapons aren't much of a stretch either. Sometimes, he'll use his bident like a conductor and fire shadow bolts from the two pointed tips.
Bluffing
    Ambrose is an excellent liar, often using this skill to bluff during card games or worm his way out of potentially dangerous situations. He's known to crack under extreme pressure, however.

Physical Description
General
    Ambrose stands at 5' 10" (approx. 178 cm) and has a lean physique. He has dark skin and smooth, rounded features.
    His short curly hair is almost black in colour, and always meticulously styled. Ambrose's dark brown eyes are occasionally framed by black eyeliner and mascara. He almost always wears a charming smile.
Identifying Marks
    Ambrose has a few scars on his shoulders from where a harpy tried to get ahold of him in his youth, but otherwise not many identifying features.
Style
    Ambrose always dresses to impress. He likes rich, velvety colours often paired with black or even black and white if he's aiming to make a statement. He's a fan of dusters, scarves, gloves, fancy hats, and even a bit of makeup when the mood takes him. He has both ears pierced as well as a helix piercing on his left. He enjoys wearing jewellery and likes to paint his nails. In addition, Ambrose will occasionally dress in drag under the name Ambrosia.

Beneath the Surface
Personality
    Ambrose has always had a bit of a flair for the dramatic. Charismatic and charming, his roguish smile wins over even the darkest of hearts. He is a shameless flirt and enjoys being fawned over, especially by the Aphrodite cabin. Ambrose can be incredibly unreliable and has a tendency to flake out when he is needed most, or outright lie to get out of an undesirable situation. He has a tendency to put himself first, even if it means throwing someone else under the bus to save his own skin. The only time he will risk his life or reputation is for a close friend; someone he considers family. Otherwise, his loyalties are as changeable as the winds. He isn't necessarily a bad person at heart; he often tries his best to do the right thing. Ambrose is vain and prideful, and can be easily manipulated using flattery. Others often see him as a bit of a narcissist - he thinks highly of himself and is obsessed with his looks. Some of his tendencies come from deep-rooted insecurities, but he does his best to bury those behind wit and humour. Materialistic and a bit hedonistic, Ambrose likes to have a good time. Though he tends to be greedy, Ambrose loves a gamble. His impulsive behaviours can land him in trouble more than he'd like to admit.

History
    Ambrose was born to Peter and Mary Fletcher in 1908. He grew up in the British countryside of southern England, not too far from Southhampton. They lived a simple life on a small farm, selling milk and other products of their labours to make end's meet.
    Then the war came, and many of the workers left to fight. His father was drafted in 1916, leaving 8 year old Ambrose and his mother to keep the farm going on their own. It was tough work; work Ambrose despised with every piece of his being. When they went into the city to sell their wares, Ambrose took to stealing from unsuspecting passers-by just to help support his family. The stealing only increased as time went on. The war eventually ended, but his father did not return. They presumed him to be dead and continued to struggle with the farm. It was around that time that Ambrose learned to gamble. He took to it like a fish to water; winning enough to support his mother and keep the farm. Mary didn't know where the money was coming from - or she pretended not to. But she accepted it nonetheless - desperate times and all that.
    As the years passed, odd things began happening around Ambrose. Strange creatures chased him down the streets, shadows seemed to stretch towards him, and mysterious figures seemed to follow him but dissipated the moment they were looked at. On his thirteenth birthday, everything reached a crescendo. A swarm of harpies attacked the farm in the dead of night, killing his mother as she tried to protect him and sending him running for the hills. He stuck to the shadows, wishing desperately to be somewhere more populated like the city... and then he was there. He didn't know how it happened, but he was there. Even at night, the streets were never silent. It was a good place to hide. He was exhausted, though he wasn't sure if it was from running for his life or whatever had just happened to him. When he found a relatively safe place to crash, a dream came to him - a man with alabaster skin dressed in black claiming to be his father. In the dream, he told Ambrose to go overseas and find a place called Camp Half-Blood. There, he would be safe. The stranger then handed Ambrose a two-pronged staff, for protection, he'd said.
    When Ambrose awoke, the staff was lying next to him. He knew it had to be real. With nothing else left, Ambrose stowed away on a cargo ship headed for the United States. It was a grueling journey across the Atlantic, made worse by the constant sea storms threatening the ship. It was almost as if they sky and the ocean themselves wanted the ship destroyed.
    Against all odds, Ambrose arrived on US shores and attempted to find the camp his so-called father had spoken of. But his travels took him further and further from his destination, until temptation led him astray. Ambrose spent the better part of a century stuck in the Lotus Hotel and Casino, where all his worries drifted away. It wasn't until the twenty-first century that he was discovered by a group of questing demigods and their keen-nosed satyr. The small group urged him to leave; to join them and return to Camp Half-Blood when their quest was done. Camp Half-Blood... that sounded familiar. But the allure of the casino was too great. Then one of the demigods posed a deal - a gamble of sorts. If Ambrose won a game of cards against her, he could stay. If she won, he would come with them with no arguments. Never one to deny a gamble, Ambrose agreed. Little did he know that demigod happened to be a child of Tyche...
    Ambrose aided them in their quest before returning to Camp Half-Blood - discovering his abilities, learning about the worldly changes since he'd been away, and ultimately being officially claimed along the way. He's lived there ever since, with nowhere else to go.

Kathryn [★]
    Ambrose and Kathryn get along surprisingly well, and he has
    even become somewhat of a confidante to her over the years. As
    such, he has grown to understand her and doesn't fault her as much
    for her devious ways as he should. They enjoy gossiping together
    and occasionally coordinate outfits.

Juliet [✩]
    Though she's greasy, unkempt, and generally a bit of a slob,
    she's good for a laugh. Ambrose can always count on Juliet for an
    honest opinion and bad jokes. The two get along quite well, and
    he'll occasionally help out in her harebrained schemes. She usually
    makes it worth his while.

Mirabelle [✔]
    Though her rigidity can be a bit of a buzzkill, Ambrose and
    Mirabelle are on friendly terms. Ambrose spends a decent amount
    of his free time in the Aphrodite cabin, and as a result has gotten
    to know her somewhat. He wouldn't say they're friends - the closest
    they go is a few exchanged fashion and makeup tips. She doesn't
    trust him and he knows it, but he doesn't care much.

Looking for some awesome plots be it epic duels/enemies, fantastic friendships or any kind of love interest if you wanted to do something specific/more than just a random interaction?
