brooks o'connor is the epitome of golden retriever boy. he's sweet and sensitive, caring and kind, but don't rub him the wrong way too many times. he's ruthlessly loyal to those he admires, even if they're merely acquaintances. he's known for getting along with pretty much everyone but he does have his limits. he's spent most of his life in luxury, perfect family, perfect house, perfect grades, perfect girlfriend. there's much more depth to him than that. for one, his relationship has been strained for as long as he can remember. he's constantly arguing with his father and putting on a strong face for everyone around them. his father is a politician, his mother is a dermatologist. he's an only child, expected to follow in the path set out for him even if he doesn't want to. still, amidst the arguing, he wakes up, puts on a smile, and comes to school each day like nothing bad ever happens. admittedly, he's thought about leaving his girlfriend quite a few times but just can't. he feels like there would be too many lost memories, too much lost time. it can't all be for nothing, right? at the same time, he's terrified of being stuck in that relationship for the rest of his life, and underneath his loving, devoted exterior, he's growing more and more restless as each day passes. he does his best to be the perfect boyfriend: buying her flowers, hanging out with her whenever she wants, asking her to every dance. will it ever be enough? he doesn't seem to think it ever will be but he can sure as hell try.

brooks thinks mayhem is a sweet girl, but he isn't so fond of the way his girlfriend treats her. deep down, he wishes she would stand up for herself and find better friends, but he knows he isn't one to talk as he's dating the girl who puts her through so much and can't even leave her himself. both brooks and mayhem are wrapped around the queen bee's finger, and he somehow takes solace in the fact that he isn't alone in that struggle.

he sees juliet every time he goes over to leo's house. she's always friendly and he is as well. he enjoys going to their movie nights because he feels like the kingsley twins are the siblings he never had growing up. he's even happy to watch the two of them argue over stupid sibling things. brooks considers her somewhat of a little sister and thinks she should take more risks and be more bold. he hears his girlfriend talk poorly of her often but it never sways his opinions on juliet.

brooks knows this pair means trouble but can't help but have a good time when they're around. especially when he's hanging out with leo and the two of them, they always end up having fun. he likes them, even if a lot of other people don't, and enjoys all of their stupid misadventures. they make him feel like a kid again.

the playboy / leo kingsley - positive - best friends from childhood
he's known leo since he could walk and thinks of him like a brother. when he's not with his girlfriend, he's at leo's house, mostly avoiding his own home. leo has been there for him when he felt the most alone, and he really values their friendship. the two have gone through thick and thin together and brooks hopes the two will stay connected throughout college.

brooks has seen benji around every now and then but the two never really talk. he's usually too caught up in his own social life to introduce himself properly, but the two know of each other through school talk and classes.

the shadow / felix yin - neutral - barely know each other
he's rarely seen felix around the school and doesn't really notice him during the classes they have together. he thinks he's cool but doesn't know him well enough to have a lasting, sticking opinion on him. he partially thinks he should open up more, but also knows that he doesn't know enough about felix to really even think that.

Celeste is her sister, however that doesn't mean
they get along. Rey doesn't hate her sister, but
to say they are on good terms would be a lie.
She dislikes the hierarchy while Celeste is at the
top of it, besides this Rey just can't seem to find
common ground with her.

Rey doesn't know to much about her, other than
she's friends with Celeste. Although she doesn't
normally assume based appearances, being
friends with her sister already sets her against
the idea of getting to know her.

Rey views Juliet as a good friend, admiring
her headstrong quality. There isn't anything
bad she could say about her.

Rey doesn't know her very well, if someone
were to ask her first thoughts of Kinley, it'd
probably be that she's the type of person who
knows what she wants for her future and is
putting in the effort for it.

Rey doesn't have a particular opinion of him,
she only knows that some of her friends don't
like him.

Can't say she knows her, however she does enjoy
catching the sight of her work, thinks she's
pretty talented.

Never spoken to him, might've had classes with
him but doesn't remember ever conversing.

Vanner is a friend, pretty humorous. The only
issue is if the joke goes to far, but Rey tries
not to take it to heart especially if its a joke.

Just like Vanner, Enzo is a good friend. With the
two of these "troublemakers" around Rey can't
say life gets boring.

Not much for Rey to say, her ex, she feels a bit like
a fool and its obvious she wants nothing to do
with Leo.

𝓑𝓻𝓸𝓸𝓴𝓼 𝓞'𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓷𝓮𝓻-
Rey has seen him around, he is her sister's boyfriend
after all. She can't figure out why he's with her,
however if there's someone who might open her
sisters eyes go for it.

𝓜𝓲𝓷𝓰𝔂𝓾 𝓨𝓲𝓷-
Rey's more reserved friends, Rey is careful when
introducing him to new people since he prefers
just a close circle.
