Arlo is generally considered easygoing and gentle, but if he gets in a feud or is having a particularly bad day, his personality can change rather quickly. When upset, he becomes moody (ranging from apathetic to bitter or caustic), and rather than expressing himself and communicating about issues, he tends to become passive aggressive and wait for the other person to realize there's a problem. On his better days, he is a wonderful companion with earnest intentions and a desire to help. He is impulsive and enjoys a good trick or an adrenaline-inducing adventure, which often leads him into trouble. He's a famous flirt, and might use flirting as a way to mask his true emotions tends to charm people. More than anything, he is loyal to the people he is closest to, especially his family and the pack. When not otherwise occupied by his duties as heir apparent, Arlo makes a living by selling game at the market in town.

Biography;; A wolf both in blood and personality, Svala is bold, proud, and cunning. With a famed blacksmith for a father, her family was destined to carry out the duties of the forge. Generally, this task would have fallen to her brother-- if she had one. As the only child, Svala was taught the ways of metalsmithing as soon as she could hold a hammer. Her gender has drawn some matter of controversy around her crafts, though those who have had the chance to wield the weapons she makes and don the armor she crafts know that she smiths among the best.
Svala is far from your typical lady. She is strong in both spirit and body with a voice to match. The she-wolf will state her mind, no matter the consequences. With little respect for human authority, it is a miracle she is generally well-tempered to her wolf alpha. Of course, that's not to say that she does not serve out a healthy dose of sass and attitude on a daily basis. Svala is eager for adventure and can be rather reckless. She charges first, strategizes later. With an ego as large as hers, she can be quick to anger. It takes effort to get any idea through to her, especially if it is one she doesn't personally agree with. Svala is a natural joker and lover of tricks. The blacksmith harbors little care for the feelings of others and will gladly kick most people to the side without a thought. She does not get attached easily.
All that said, Svala is loyal to a fault. If someone is able to earn her trust and respect, she will hold that belief tightly. For someone to earn her trust is extremely difficult, losing it is even more so. She would give her own life for those she cares about-- though those are very few and far between. She struggles to express her emotions outside of anger. If someone were to be able to break through her walls, her companionship would be the strongest anyone could ever ask for.

Biography;; Reserved, caring, and patient is the best way to describe Caine. Once a gregarious and proud solider, that all changed when a wolf attack nearly took his arm from him. His days as a proud, heroic warrior came crashing down when the physician told him his arm would never be the same. The wolf dealt a heavy blow to his sword arm and left it unable to raise much further that his ribs. This attack left him with a distrust of wolves and werewolves alike, especially werewolves. He believes them to have all the ferocity of a wolf and the guile of a human. He turned to dogs as a sort of coping mechanism. Specializing in protection and hunting dogs, Caine is never far from Tyrus, a large irish wolfhound trained in protection. Every once in a while, he may travel with another dog in training. He also cares for the canines of the royals and trains them for their many hunting trips.

Having lost all that he once knew, Caine learned to bite his tongue and stay out of trouble. His figure is imposing and somewhat unnerving simply due to the fact that he enjoys standing to the side and observing without getting involved. The only things that seem to bring him joy and excitement are the dogs he works with as well as a good meal. Caine absolutely loves food and the surest way to his heart is to bring him some sweet treat. He is generally friendly to everyone and has a hard time finding reason not to like someone-- unless he knows they are a wolf in human skin. Though he had to learn to wield a weapon in his non-dominant hand, he carries a short sword with him and is known to hunt with a crossbow. When needed for travel, he owns a shire horse stallion named Balder.

Ronan Fenn {✓} Caine swore an oath to protect
the crown long ago and will honor that pledge until his death. Unlike
Bennet, Caine hasn't had too much personal interaction with the new king,
however he is inclined to trust and protect him without much question.

Bennet Fenn {♛} Having trained side by side and gotten into some
number of shenanigans together, Caine shares a strong friendship with
Bennet. The prince helped him recover after his injury when others seemed
to turn away. Caine trusts Bennet with his life, but has grown wary of his
interaction with the Eathe's.

Ramses Prescott {☐} Caine doesn't know much about the falconer,
but he can respect the art of animal husbandry-- no matter the
species. He is definitely intrigued by the birds the man trains and
would be eager to learn more.

Moriah O'Malley {✓} Normally, Caine would have had very little
interaction with Moriah. Their duties are separate and he would
generally only pass her in transit. However, since she has taken to
sending him treats here and there, he can't help but appreciate her
gestures and grow interested in actually getting to know her.

Avalon Smith {☐} Caine sees Avalon as a handler of very large dogs.
Horses and dogs can't be too different, right? He knows she is caring
and seems generally good-spirited; a person he could become
friends with for sure. He respects her craft and appreciates her care
for his stallion, but otherwise has had little interaction with her.

Ronan Fenn [☾]

Arlo does not have many thoughts about King Ronan, because
he has only seen the man a few times, and that was at a distance.
He respects the man's compassion, but views him as a rather weak
leader. He (probably) would not try to overthrow him, but he certainly
doesn't have a lot of faith in his ability to hold his own.

Bennet Fenn [➤]

Arlo views Bennet as a kindred spirit. He understands his lack
of desire for the throne, and enjoys a good bit of mischief himself. He
does think that the prince is a little blind to his own privilege, but it
does not bother him too much, especially because Arlo can tell he has
a good heart.

Moriah O'Malley [☾↥]

Arlo finds Moriah entertaining and takes a bit of pride in his
ability to throw her off by flirting with her. He always has a smile and
a wink to spare for her when they cross paths, though he has noticed
that coming on too strong makes her uncomfortable, so he tries to
keep it to a minimum to spare her feelings. He has heard whispers of
her unfortunate past, and hopes the lady is comfortable in her new
occupation.

Caine Mallory [☾↧]

Arlo has only been face to face with Caine a handful of times,
and for the most part he tries to avoid him. While he feels bad for the
man and the trauma he has endured, he dislikes the way he has
generalized his fear to include all wolves, and werewolves especially.
Rather than viewing him as a potential connection/friend like he does
with most people, Arlo views Caine as a potential enemy.

Ramses Brescott [☾]

Arlo does not know much about Ramses, but based on the
little he does know, he feels fairly neutral about him. He finds his skill
with birds impressive and respects him as a tradesman, but he has not
been able to discern much else about him.

Avalon Smith [➤]

Arlo has known Ava for quite some time and has come to view
her as a friend. He likes her resourcefulness, and her kindness and
reliability put him at ease. He also has to admit that he finds her
occasional outbursts entertaining.

Tarner Eathe [❦↧]

Family relationships are complicated, and Arlo's
connection with Tarner is no exception. Though he has fond memories
of their childhood and is loyal to him as a member of his family, there
are many things he disagrees with Tarner on, and while he doesn't hate
him, he hates having to put up with his selfish arrogance and lack of
honesty. He would not betray his brother, but he wouldn't stand in the
way of someone who wanted to bring him down a notch.

Sersha Eathe [❦↥]

Arlo is much more fond of his sister than he is of his older
brother, largely because he feels a greater degree of kinship with
her because of their similarities. He enjoys her energy and even
her recklessness (though he does fuss over it at times). While he is
more protective of her than he is of most other people, he also
knows she is fully capable of looking out for herself and does his
best not to be overbearing.

Cordovia Eathe [❦↥]

Arlo loves his sister, though he has never really looked up
to her. Perhaps it is because the one year age difference between
them is so small that it feels insignificant, or because she gets into
just as much trouble (if not more) than he does. While he would do
anything to help her if she asked, he is not as protective of her. He
certainly enjoys the unique ways she can get under Tarner's skin.

Svala Holt [☾]

Arlo is not sure what to make of Svala. He does not see her
often since their work tends to take them in different directions, but
he does not appreciate her sass towards his brother, and the way she
sometimes treats those she sees an unimportant. He thinks that she is
powerful and respects her as a tradeswoman and a contributing
member of the pack, but sometimes he thinks she is trying to test
his patience.

Ivor Archibald [☾]

Arlo has a feeling that he will come to like Ivor, though he does
not know him very well yet. He sees his loyalty to the pack and the way
he cares for those close to him, and believes him to be a good man for it.
He does hope he'll keep his ego in check though, and that he'll never try
to challenge the Eathes.

@everyone thank you all so much for joining this role play; i think that it has so much potential to be great, and that's all because of you and your wonderful characters! i am hoping to get a first post up in the role play thread by the end of the week, but it will likely be on saturday, because that is when i will have the most time to think and get in that creative headspace. i hope that's not too much of an inconvenience for anyone! i do intend to post a little more frequently after the first post though, i just find starter posts to be a bit more difficult than the average post, so i want to set myself up for success as best as i can here!
