mossfur is well known within rootclan for his calm, indifferent nature. even u
nder pressure, he is very good at maintaining his composure; thus, some belie
ve his behaviour to be due to a cold and callous disposition, but actually the
opposite is true. mossfur is very understanding, and he takes pride in his ways.
he enjoys being the cat to give advice and to be relied upon. however, when
it comes to his own emotions, mossfur is less than transparent. he is stubborn
ly independent and will not readily share his feelings with just anyone. howe
ver, once his trust is gained, mossfur will become fiercely protective. whilst
he is aware of this flaw, he does still struggle to manage it. he is also somew
hat easily distractible. he is able to put his mind to a task if it is imperative,
but for more mundane duties and even conversations, he can get sidetracked.

dappled in places, snowflower’s mostly
white fur is the reason behind her name.
probably her most noticeable features,
however, are her deep blue eyes. they
have the magical effect of being able
to make even the coldest, most indiffe
rent of cats feel uncomfortable, if she
so desires.

as the runt of her litter, snowflower always had to fight for attention. often pushed to the
sidelines by her four larger, louder siblings, she learned from an early age how to fend for
herself. consequently, she is notorious with the other cats for her impatience and quick te
mper; anyone who gets on the wrong side of her can expect to be smacked down with a sa
rcastic remark. she doesn't take anything lying down, but she simmers down as quickly as
she fires up. snowflower is very impulsive and wilful, which can lead to rash decisions as s
he doesn't always consider the consequences of her actions. however, her boisterous upbri
nging didn't stop her big heart from shining through. snowflower is warm, friendly and an i
ncredibly good judge of character. she often instinctively knows how to approach someone;
her considerate nature means she is always fussing over others. she thrives off of the feelin
g of being needed... although perhaps someday this will pose a problem for her.

ashstar is like the true image of rockclan altogether in one, single
form. the tom was originally born into the clan to his parents two
fine warriors, both well respected among the rest of the clan. th
e two were forever arguing though and it would be no surprise t
hat the two would later separate. however, despite this, ashkit l
ooked up to them as the greatest things in the world. his kithood
was normal for the most part, minus the occasional kit adventur
e. finally once he reached the age of six moons, ashkit became
ashpaw. the tom was thrilled and raced to his parents - only to
find out they were no longer mates and didn't seem all that pro
ud of him despite their words, too caught up in their own probl
ems. this hurt ashpaw, but he didn't let it show. after this news
apprenticehood began with a rough start. the tom was angry a
nd hurt, filled with overwhelming emotions that he couldn't fi
gure out and refused to let out. that is until he met heatherp
aw. at first he wanted nothing to do with anyone, including h
er, but with time he slowly warmed up to her. sootpaw - ash-
paw's brother - was the first to catch on when ashpaw started
to develop a little more than just a fondness for her. ashpaw
denied it at first, but after the two became warriors it was c
lear he had an interest in her. after a few moons of dancing
around the two became mates. after awhile, the two had th
eir own litter. three healthy kits. ashfeather soon became d
eputy - that same night his mother died. ashfeather was qu
ite torn, but nonetheless pushed through his grief and cont
inued to serve his clan. during this hard time he grew close
r to his mate, heatherblossom. sadly, during leaf-bare she
grew ill. the kits also grew sick, their mother was in no sh
ape to care for them - and while others tried to help they
couldn't be saved. heatherblossom blamed their deaths on
nherself, ashfeather spent many days in the nursery comfo
rting her. somehow he felt like he failed as well. less than
a moon later, he became leader. for moons afterwards, th
ings were quiet - until recent events. his mate died during
the fire and ashstar hasn't taken the loss well. now with a
starving clan to care for he isn't sure what to do, but he is
n't about to let any other innocent felines die.

seeing them as 'evil' and the like. he isn't very open and rather
quiet, but nonetheless an ambitious character. despite this he
is a loyal tom, fiercely protective of his clan, maybe overly so.
he's doing anything to save his clan even if that means playing
dirty. after all, no cat wants harm to come to their clan. right?

there could be no better place for this tom, than in rootclan. he
was born into the clan to an odd pair. his mother was your avera
ge warrior, who always wanted kits and his father was the son of
a previous deputy - who was least to say not very fond of kits. he
was the only surviving kit of the litter, thus he was beyond spoile
d by his mother. the molly was quite fond of him and while her
mate warned her about what she was doing, she simply brushed
him off and continued doing so. so it was no surprise that when
the tom reached apprenticehood he was...quite the character t
o say the least. the tom often complained about his apprentice
duties and was always causing trouble among his fellow appren
tices and of course, his mentor. occasionally he would make a
scene and an embarrassed mother would drag him away and gi
ve him her own version of a 'scolding.' this proved to not help
the situation at all, so his father quickly took over - with much
hesitance and reluctance from his mate. the next time it happ
ened his father made sure he was given a punishment, likewis
e whenever he did something of the sort. hawkpaw quickly ca
ught on, but his attitude didn't change much. regardless, besid
es the occasional show hawkpaw did well with his training and
soon became a warrior. of course, his mother was quite proud
of him - as was his father, but at a lesser standard. as a young
warrior, he had quite the ego (not like he doesn't anymore but
you know) and was forever showing off and getting himself int
o trouble he could have easily avoided. nonetheless, the tom
only grew more prideful, more arrogant. after one incident h
is father convinced the leader to give him apprentice duties
- a bit of shattered ego would certainly help. right? once he
was finally given back his warrior duties, hawkfeather kept
himself in check for the most part. but old habits die hard a
nd before long, he was back to his old ways and has been so
ever since - a true rootclan cat.

prideful, arrogant and downright dramatic hawkfeather isn't li
ked by other clans and most likely not even by his own clan. he
is best known as the spoiled warrior, thanks to his mother. he is
quite picky and petty and is known to be quite resentful when
he believes he's been done wrong. he has quite the ego and qu
ite prideful. he takes pride in his skills, appearance, most likel
y everything about himself. he sees others as lesser than hims
elf and treats them as such. it doesn't help that his father was
the son of a previous deputy, he believes he's destined for gre
atness and that the clan would fall apart without him, despite
his rank as a warrior. he is bold and clever though, reliable in t
imes of need. he does have some good in him, but really some
one needs to put this tom in his place.
