I'd like to join, I was wondering what the power of bonding involves.


Hi there! So generally, roleplayers pick any power they want (except for the ones on the banned list) and decide what the powers involve. So long as it doesn't seem too overpowered, it should be good. A good resource to use is the Superpower Wiki if you're in doubt <3

For bonding, there seem to be a few variations. Perhaps Symbiotic Connection, Entity Bondingor Bond Empowerment? Alternatively me and @Dxisyy's characters Emrys and Genesis have a bond created through Telempathy?

Edie - she celebrates (and we know she's super adorable in a christmas hat!) but she's not super festive about it, except when Michael drags her into the Christmas spirit <3 She might be a leetle less grumpy around Christmas time too, so that's a bonus??
Jasper - Honestly I don't think he really cares about celebrating, but the nature lover in him definitely loves the concept of having a random pine tree in the house. And he probably likes the mistletoe tradition. @banks ;)
Sparrow - She loves the idea of getting gifts for her friends! She'd love it, though she's never really actually celebrated it.
Elora - She goes all out. She loves it! But she's actually terrible at picking gifts for her friends, because she's indecisive <3
Emrys - He'd only get sorry Nic Genesis a gift, and it's the stupidest gag gift he can find. That'll be as far as he celebrates it, too.
Harvey - Probably his favourite holiday. He'd try to get at least a small gift for everyone he knows if he can!
Sienna - Cairo celebrates excitedly, so she does too, though she'd not really be fussed about the holiday without him.

Illusion creation, infrared vision, acid touch, apnea (inability/doesn't need to breathe)

I actually would prefer you don’t create a character with any sort of death-touch, as that feels quite overpowered. The same sort of goes for acid-touch, but I would be open to variations of that as long as we’re both able to sit down and agree on some can’s and cant’s for that type of power? Powers like that can be quite overpowered and i’m hoping for the scales not to be too tipped in this roleplay. Those other powers, though, sound great!! Apnea sounds especially interesting to read about! It would be really cool to see what you could do with that! Again, thank you so much for your interest and i’m sorry for any inconvenience my response to your questions may have caused.

Mavis enjoys the holidays, she'd probably only get like 2 presents, Milo and Michael and they'd probably be pretty okay gifts. I could see her spending the day with either of them, vibing and having fun with Michael, and later in the day, insisting on a blanket fort with Milo because blanket forts are the best

Michael doesn't really follow the religious side of the holidays, but he still loves the traditions nonetheless. Especially the eating of the cookies. Who doesn't love those?
Cairo is a wild-child. Of COURSE he will take any chance he can get for a little fun (and food)! Kai would definitely be one to drag Sie to holiday parties and stores with black friday deals. The whole shebang! He loves it all! Like Michael, the religion side isn't his biggest priority, so he has a habit of using different traditions from different holidays each year... It gets a bit ridiculous, but it's his favorite time of the year, after all!
Daniel doesn't really celebrate the holidays. He'll join in on a gift exchange or secret santa if he's asked, but he just doesn't feel right celebrating the holidays without his parents. They were a big part of why he liked celebrating as a kid...
Levi LOVES the holidays. As a kid, his foster family often took him with them to church and he honestly loved it. Singing, free food... Even now, when the days get tough, he'll find himself looking towards his faith for comfort. He doesn't rely on it per say, but he likes just knowing that it's there.
Hannah isn't super enthusiastic about the holidays, but her family loves Christmas, so she always makes sure to at least participate in the gift-exchange part of it. She works hard to save up for really nice presents, especially for her siblings :)

history: as a child, she never thought she'd join the taskforce.
in all honesty, it was the last thing she ever wanted to be. she
wanted to be a teacher, or a dancer, maybe. her mother, in
what was perhaps a very unwise move (blame motherly love),
never discouraged her daughter from her dreams. alexis halette
staunchly refused to accept the fact that her daughter was
different, mutated, and that she would never be able to
keep her. so she hid zandria away, jumping from city to city,
never letting them settle down or giving the government a
chance to catch on. the little 'incidents' she covered up as
best she could (the nightmare at age four that sent mr. fluffs
to an early grave when he was snuggling beside his favorite
little (in)human, the boy at seven whom she got in a fight
with and ended up putting in the hospital) and continued
on with a grim sense of determination. this sort of life couldn't
last, obviously, and it all ended when eight year old zandria
ate a handful of yew berries on a hike in the woods. alexis had
no choice but to rush her daughter to the hospital, where her
unusually fast recovery prompted doctors to run some additional
testing. thus, the secret was out, and zandria was taken away
for conditioning.

taskforce 117 was her saving grace, actually. it was either that
or the testing compound (she knew she was an inhuman, didn't
need to be treated like a lab mouse to feel like a freak of nature)
so she managed to muster up some gratitude for the assignment.
she doesn't like what she has to do on a daily basis, isn't proud of
some of the things she's done, regrets almost all of the people she's
hurt, but she really doesn't see a way out.

the conditioning, though it came a few years later than most, stuck
(maybe too well). there's a constant sense of guilt humming in the
background of her conscience, telling her that what she does is
wrong, what she is is wrong, an abomination of nature. she
hides the self-loathing rather well, most days, but sometimes the
happy exterior cracks and the dark leaks through a little...

history: he's been to the warfront a time or three, as a government
soldier, actually. he's seen more brutalities than could be named,
suffered more injustices than should be stomached, and lost enough
comrades to have finally had enough. of course, for an inhuman,
the service was not choice but an obligation, and to defect was to
be labelled as a rebel. but he no longer believed in the conditioning
(if he ever did), so he could not stay.

in the end, the decision was easier than he thought. the rebellion was
willing to take him in, even with the conditions he issued (no more
fighting, no more killing. he would no longer earn the price of his
keep in blood). he still has nightmares, but they're fading slowly,
taking the pains of the past with them. it's doubtful that he'll ever
be considered anything close to normal, but he's doing his best to
work past his traumas. war has made him a hard man, and that
probably won't ever change. it's not necessarily a bad thing, in this
time of unrest and looming conflict. it kept him alive, kept him
more or less whole, but he knows that in the future, there's a lot of
healing that needs to be done.

once the war is over, of course. however many years that will take.
