𝘈𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: These cats have been accused of a heinous act that they either did not commit or had the story twisted by another cat. These cats were given unfair treatment and were either exiled or decided to leave the clan on their own terms.

𝘓𝘰𝘸 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘯: These cats believe that Starclan refuses to help cats in need and only do what they believe is necessary even at the expense of another cat's life (or several). Maybe they personally feel as if Starclan has wronged them.

𝘜𝘯𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘛𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵: These cats have been untreated fairly and ostracized by their former clan. This happens for many reasons such as failing a task, being born half-clan, being seen as weak, etc.

𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘥𝘦: These cats broke the Warrior Code willingly. Maybe it was for good reason and justified, maybe the cat did it for malicious intent. Whatever the reason may be, they had been punished by the clan and joined Thornclan.

𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘺: These cats were considered part of a prophecy (which may or may not be accurate). These prophecies hinted that these cats would be considered evil and (due to what happened various times in the past) were exiled from the clan.

𝘊𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮/𝘊𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭: These cats caused harm to others either to other cats individually or by making the clan dysfunctional for a period of time for some reason. As expected, these cats were exiled from their respective clan.

She's viewed as one of the shyest and kindest cats by her those who knew her as a kittypet despite having considerably crummy twolegs. She helps others do the best they can and offers all she can. This is merely a facade. It seems that this she-cat has greater intentions. As a kit, she had only ever been raised by her mother. She often told Autumn stories of how her father used to be a clan cat to kittypet before decidedly choosing to go back to his regular life since Starclan called him back, in which case he died via a monster. She remembers her father explaining to her about Starclan and due to a series of events that have happened in her life, she strongly believes that starclan has taken everything from her and caused her life to be horrendous for their own sake. Her father dying, being adopted by horrid twolegs, ending up weak, she blames starclan for it and seeks to find help for her plan. Why she decided to become a medicine cat might seem weird, but she does prove to be good with herbs, though, secretly, it seems that she has greater intentions of being a medicine cat. She's doggedly loyal to Thornclan and makes sure her clanmates know how to figure out how things work.

━ appearance : yewsplinter is a muscular female with blue-and-yellow eyes and a white coat topped by dilute ginger patches. her stature is average-sized, but covered in a layer of muscle. she is not big-boned or stocky, but is certainly not thin and lithe; yew's build lays somewhere in the middle of the scale. her pelt is short, soft, and thick, and has a base of white. this crisp, snow-white color is only broken by a mask of dilute ginger covering her head and part of her muzzle; her tail sports the same hue as well. yewsplinter's eyes are quite intricate. they are each a mixture of robin's egg blue and yellow, swirling and clashing together to create a pair of cold orbs. her nose is a pale pink, the right tip of her ear is missing, and she has multiple other small scars beneath her coat.

━ personality : yewsplinter is . . . undyingly loyal, oddly charming, calculative, intelligent, logical ; aloof, cold, harsh, reserved, sharp-tongued ; twisted, inhumane, deluded, hypocritical, obsessive, violent.
she is adored by everyone. sure, most cats find her to be aloof and cocky, but no one thinks she's capable of being anything other than a sweet gal. that's where they're wrong. yewsplinter has a twisted sense of loyalty to the warrior code, except it's to the point that she thinks anyone who doesn't follow it perfectly needs to be punished. so she made it her job in windclan to seek out those that were sinful or corrupt and then kill them. she tried to steer away from murdering those in her own clan so she wouldn't get caught. crafty about her work indeed, she was the queen of the long-con, and used her charm and allure to discover things about others, luring her targets to places where she could kill them, etc. again, yew's twisted, because the molly doesn't see that what she's doing is wrong and hypocritical; her argument was that she was not technically falling in love with anyone or explicitly breaking the code, just that she was cavorting with the purpose to purify the clans. she would never lose it and just start killing everyone; since she thinks she did good in windclan, it would break her principles. killing without a good reason is not the way yewsplinter rolls, and she is very precise and repetitive, so she wouldn't break the rules of her little game without a solid incentive. (i mean, she DID break the code by doing all this stuff, but she completely deluded herself into thinking it was okay because it's a part of the process to cleanse the world of sin). yewsplinter was coldly intelligent during her time with the clans, placing bodies on thunderpaths, staging them so that said cat looks like they have been killed by a fox or badger, or even faking accidental drownings. she planned everything and informed herself well before doing any sort of killing. she is not ambitious like tigerstar, though, and was actually exceedingly loyal to windclan (yet now thornclan); some would argue too much.
━ likes : though she rarely gives in, yew enjoys indulging herself when she can. eating, sleeping, the warrior code, hunting, sparring, and hares are her favorite things. she enjoys exploring as well, and also doing the warrior code justice. perhaps more morbidly, yewsplinter likes the fragrance of blood and the satisfying feeling of a finished deed (basically ridding the world of flea-bitten traitors).

━ history : yewsplinter's father, redstorm of windclan, was a good, loyal warrior . . . but he did have an aggressive side, and it was only shown around yew and her mom, gorsebreeze, during her late kithood and up until his death at the end of her apprenticeship. he would often lash out at the girls, and ever since he died at the fangs of a fox, yewsplinter has made a promise to herself that no cat will ever make her feel so weak ever again.
indent in her past, there was one thing that really sent yewsplinter over the edge──that really made her take up her practices of cleansing. gorsebreeze had recently died and she was starting to grow colder and colder──but then a young male named wheatstalk came into her life. he was a bit older than yewsplinter, but both were young warriors. she had started to develop a deep crush on him when she discovered that he had fallen in love with a she-cat from thunderclan: robincall. wheatstalk decided to leave windclan and become a loner with robincall, and when yewsplinter confronted him about it, he lashed out and said that she was a worthless friend──that if she truly loved him she would let him go and be happy. yewsplinter recoiled before losing her crap, accidentally killing wheatstalk in a fit of anger and sorrow. the killing flipped a switch in her brain and made yew into what she is today; she realized that robincall had poisoned him and thus almost poisoned her . . . and she knew that that couldn't happen again.
indent when yewsplinter realized that the cat of her dreams was gone, she kind of wilted for a bit . . . and then she started hiding evidence, washing her paws of blood and thanking the stars that she was close to the border with thunderclan. she blamed the death on robincall, who was then banished from thunderclan for such a clear violation of the warrior code. yewsplinter snuck out of camp the night of her exile and tracked robincall to a nearby farmland, where she then pulled injured the molly so that she was unable to escape. yewsplinter played cat and mouse with robincall for most of the night, making sure she felt her pain, until she finally slit her throat and let her bleed out. nobody missed robincall because she had already been exiled, so it all worked out. after all, the best murder isn't the one that gets unsolved, but the one that is "solved" with the wrong suspect.
indent and so yewsplinter began her cleansing, ridding the five clans of countless codebreakers. that is, until she was caught by one of her clanmates, an apprentice named cloverpaw. cloverpaw saw her drowning a thunderclan tom in the clans' border stream, and before yewsplinter had been able to catch him, he'd blurted everything to windclan. yewsplinter's sins came to light, all of them, and she was exiled. windclan ran her off, following her to the very edge of their land, and yewsplinter eventually wound up bleeding and sickly on thornclan's land, where she recovered and has remained ever since. she is one of the most fearsome, vengeful, and horrifying cats in thornclan, as most of its members have been made aware of her crimes or haven't done anything as bad. mostly, she is alone in her new home, her only company being her own mind. guided by the dark forest and her own flawed logic, yewsplinter is determined to make the clans pay for casting her away.
