Jac is a born leader - patient, but unafraid to keep others in line. She is
disciplined in behaviour, most often appearing level-headed and temperate,
even serious. However, she isn't emotionless, and shouldn't be treated as
such - or she might bite back.
She does her best to seek rational solutions to the issues the pack faces,
preferring to avoid old superstitions and emotional influence. She is driven
to find a cure, compelled by her loyalty to the pack and its survival.

Jackie is very private about her personal life, not wanting most of the pack
to be aware of her less "leader-like" side. However, she does open up to her
small inner circle, even if it's usually a slow process as getting information
out of her requires some patient coaxing.

Jackie is the only child of the former alpha, Nelson Redwood. Her mother
left the pack soon after Jac's fourth birthday to seek a more traditional
life among humans, but she considers Jennifer Chen a maternal figure,
as she has never been very interested in knowing about a woman who
wanted nothing to do with her. Even though Jac does her best to be fair
towards everyone in the pack, she lets her father get away with some
things, like calling her Ellie - she will still frown, especially if it's in the
presence of the rest of the pack.

Jac has straight warm black hair, which reaches just past her shoulders.
Her eyes are dark brown, their gaze often quite piercing, although quick
to soften when she is around those she deeply cares about.
She is fairly tall, 5'7", and her build is athletic, but not overly muscular.

Jackie's wolf is tall and fairly muscular, with jet black fur and observant
brown eyes. Its expression is rather composed and stoic, but her capability
as an opponent shouldn't be underestimated.

Lewis is one of the people Jackie really opens up to, and feels like she can count on no matter what. She respects the man
significantly, considering him to be a more than competent beta. Jac never feels like she has to be "the alpha" around him,
finding it easier to be more like herself in his presence.

𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦 𝘌𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢 - the healer [♦/♥/?]

Before the disease, the death of Ginny Reed, and the sheriff's investigation, Jac and Celeste became close, more than Jackie
imagined was possible. After everything happened, she distanced herself from the healer, stating that she found the pack more
important than whatever had formed between them. But Jackie knows that this was an excuse - she got afraid of getting too
close. Now their relationship is a big question mark, as it's undeniable that the alpha still has feelings towards the young woman.
However, she is uncertain if her actions have irreparably damaged what they once had.

𝘈𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘯 - the secretive [♢]

Amaya has been fairly aloof towards the alpha for a while now. Jac has never really gotten through to the girl, but understands
her need for privacy, and isn't really the type to push it either, finding it better to let her be if she so wishes.

𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩 - the quarantined [✓]

Ever since the young woman lost her parents, Jackie has been keeping an eye out for her, and has slowly developed a fondness
of her - even to a point where it could be called a soft spot. Now that she has fallen ill, Jac's uncharacteristically worried, and
considering she has no family left, doing her best to care for the girl whenever she has the time.

𝘚𝘮𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘬𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪 - the rebel [✗]

Afflicted rebelling against the quarantine is the last thing Jackie needs. She is frustrated with Smriti's attitude, but at the same
time troubled by the possibility of her causing another death, or otherwise bloodying her hands without truly meaning to. The
alpha does her best to remain patient, understanding that the quarantine is a difficult situation to be in, but at the same time,
she cannot afford to be lenient, and ends up scolding her every other time they cross paths. Were the situation to blow up in
their faces, it wouldn't come entirely as a surprise.

𝘈𝘶𝘨𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭 - the believer [♢]

With the tensions running high due to the current situation, Auggie has a habit of getting on Jac's nerves due to their clashing
beliefs when it comes to the mysterious illness. Despite this, they do have their moments of pleasant conversation, and Jackie
might even admit that she enjoys his jokes.

⤜──────→ ◦ ⚜ ◦ ←──────⤛

𝘈𝘳𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯𝘦 - the general store owner [✓]

Jac knows Archer fairly well through visiting the general store. Although their relationship isn't very deep or personal, she still
thinks positively of him and considers him to be a good person, even if a little goofy.

𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘥 - the cafe worker [✗]

After finding out that the barista of the local cafe is the brother of the unfortunate hiker, Ginny Reed, the man has been yet
another burden on Jac's troubled mind. He has a certain air of instability around him, and the alpha is unsure what he could do
if he found out about the pack's existence. Still, she is more remorseful and worried about what happened rather than hostile
over what could occur between him and the wolves.

𝘚𝘤𝘰𝘵𝘵 𝘞𝘰𝘰𝘥 - the sheriff [✗]

The sheriff's investigation has added to the heavy burden on Jac's shoulders. She is hesitant to talk to the man, uncertain about
the risk he could pose to the survival of her pack. However, were he not the sheriff, they might've actually gotten along fairly well.

𝘉𝘦𝘯𝘫𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯 𝘒𝘪𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 - the aware [♢]

Jackie isn't very familiar with the young man, having only seen him around town a few times.

the firstborn of the reed family,

however, when he hit the rebellic
era of the teenage years, he came
to realize this idyllic "be kind and
respect your elders" type of
lifestyle was very, very boring. it
was at this point when he switched
his nickname and earned that trope
of "troublemaking jock with dry
sense of humor" he is infamous for
around the town, this eventually
leading him to lose touch with the
people he most cared about.

and so came the day when fran was
injected with immeasurable grief,
damaging him deeper than anyone
could imagine. swallowed up by
his pride he resisted any sympathy
and help, and instead pushed away
the very last of his loved ones.

maggie english has lived in red pine valley all her life. she grew up with the pack, and after she
lost her parents at fourteen the pack was all she had. her luck has always been atrocious. losing
her parents in a freak accident was only the beginning. of course she was one of the first to
come down with a mysterious illness; who else could it possible have been? she truly believes
that the illness is some kind of lupine virus that can be cured, but it's hard not to believe that
she's cursed after all she's seen. she's always been a cynic and a bit of a brat, but now at least
it's justified. no one envies her, but she's burned too many bridges in her life for them to pity
her, either. despite her flaws she is loyal and honest, she's languishing in quarantine. she'll do
anything to get out, even just for a few hours... as long as no one higher up on the chain of
command finds out about it. she doesn't want to get in trouble, but she doesn't want to spend
her last days trapped in the lodge. she isn't worried about hurting other people as much as she
should be, more than anything she's only focused on herself. she has no mind for consequences.
she puts a lot of effort into her appearance as the baby of the group, the innocent, the obedient.
she couldn't stand to see that image falter, despite that it couldn't be further from the truth of
who she is.

jackie redwood [✓✳]: august doesn't mind her, necessarily. he believes she is a good leader and genuinely tries her hardest to keep the pack together. he admires her ability to stay calm (for the most part) and tries to help her out whenever she asks. the two do not see eye-to-eye on the exact root of the disease, but he is still by her side no matter what.

celeste estrella [✓✫]: the two were not close before the disease had broken out - but since tensions were rising the two have gotten ot know each other. they both share the same hippie mentality - but again, don't see eye-to-eye on the cause of "curse". they both come to each other when stressed, and often have a glass of wine together. they enjoy sharing their knowledge on herbs/medicines, and august appreciates that about her.

amaya moran [✓✫✳]: the two were a lot closer before she fell to the "disease". she has since pushed august away, which he completely understand. however, he grows frustrated how shut off from the world she has now become. auggie cares deeply for the woman and hopes the two can rekindle their friendship.

lewis harlow [✓✫]: the two balance each other out well. though they have opposite personalities, they can come together and have a conversation with ease. august enjoys conversing with lewis, and their nature walks! he admires the way he carries himself and strives to be more like lewis.

magnolia english [✓✫]: august cares deeply for maggie. the two weren't as close before she came down with the "disease". though auggie believes that it is a curse, he still comes to maggie to take care of her and will bring her stuff from in town to (hopefully) make her feel better. he sympathizes deeply with the woman.

smriti chakrabarti [✓✫✳]: the two share an odd relationship: august thinks of smriti as a dear friend, but since she's been afflicted things seem to have changed. he admires how she's not scared to stand up to jacqueline, but instead wants to encourage her to simply stay in quartine! it frustrates him seeing her fall victim to the curse. however, august brings her coffees and teas that she didn't get the chance to snag while out and about in town!

archer greene [✓✫]: the two are in a band together! august thinks of archie like a brother and appreciates his presence. however, with him being a human and all... august usually makes his appearances short. he hopes one day he can tell archie about who he really is, but august knows that may never happen.

scott wood [✓]: the two go back. they used to go out drinking together often, normal stuff. they get along just fine, august enjoys getting to know scott because they share similar mentalities. but when word of the investigation got out, he's since distance himself from the sheriff.

benjamin kipling [✓✫]: august considers himself fortunate enough to get to know benjamin, he considers him a dear friend and enjoys spending time with the lad!
