Welcome one, welcome all the the archive for the Skulk of Creaking Branches - a pretentious, know-it-all group of little snobs. This is an archive for the Create a Skulk (CaS) forum game. CaS is a fun, advanced roleplaying game in which players get to create and sustain their own skulk of foxes! Skulks will have to be fed, trained, and medicated in times of need as well as survive diseases, fight off threats and survive plenty of in skulk drama. The community for CaS is a very welcoming one and we love to help others out if they have questions about anything and everything. Feel free to join us and make a skulk of your own!

The Skulk of Creaking Branches are a very matriarchal group - every high ranking fox is a female and they look down on any other skulk who give males a respectful position. Vixens are very well looked after - getting first picks of the prey, leading any and every patrol and receiving the most respect. This skulk is very pretentious, seeing themselves as better then any other skulk. They often walk around with their noses shoved high into the air, especially around another skulk's males. The vixens of this skulk tend to insult other skulk's males, instigating fights but they never participate in fights unless absolutely necessary - they just like to see steam. The foxes of this skulk as a whole are wily, sneaky and agile. They trust vixens easily while todds are treated with more caution.

mentoring: Because of the Skulk of Creaking Branches' vastly different views on the two genders mentorships are often difficult. Vixens only mentor vixen pupils while todds mentor todds. To be a vixen with a todd pupil is a great insult and often times the vixen in charge of training won't do her job properly.

expecting kit mothers; Every vixen that has become a queen is granted the utmost respect. They are treated with more respect then the leader of the skulk - to nurture life and continue a blood-line is an absolute blessing. Each expecting queen is brought the best prey morning and night and every night before the sun sets the skulk says a "pray" to the stars for an easy birth and healthy kits. Queens who ask for help are immediately greeted by a todd who will do their bidding for as long as the Queen needs it - this could be two seconds or two hours.
stillborn; Kits who are born lifeless are granted a small ceremony whether they be vixens or todds. The skulk believes that every Queen should mourn every kit even if they are only todds. Still born kits are set in the middle of their camp while the Queen settled near the kit and the skulk surrounds them, picking up a song to the stars. Once the song has been sung the Queen will lead a small patrol to pick a perfect place to bury her kits - they are all buried together. A leaf-full of the river's water and whatever they would've been named after is buried along with them. ex: a kit who's name would've been Robin will be buried along with a robin feather.

Personality ;
Song is a very hard-headed vixen and doesn't bow easily. She's the reason her skulk is as matriarchal as it is, she refuses to see males in positions of power due to how frequently her heart was broken before founding the skulk.


History ;
Called originally Songbird, this vixen was visited by the stars after being left by her most recent mate. They spoke to her, granted her the courage to believe in herself and her nine lives. She found the land that the Skulk of Creaking Branches calls home and since her ego has blossomed.
