genya's closest friend since childhood; kotone is one of
the few people whom the starkov girl feels she can full
y trust, and though despite the friendly rivalry they hav
e, she does care for her friend. growing up with kotone,
genya and her have learnt a lot about each other, and sh
e respectively knows of how she has had family issues, a
nd is aware of her hatred for spirits and how this hate oc
urred; not widely or publicly announced facts, as well as
knowing about kotone's astral vision ability. in time one w
ill find that genya is to a point protective of her and is pr
etty much inseparable from the fellow magic user as their
friendship stems quite deep. and albeit genya despising pa
rtnering, the two can wreak havoc by being a duo.

up against each other via duel to both distract and irritate
him, the two are on a pretty neutral standing all in all, but
naturally they would be possible rivals.

♦ kotone used to spend all day playing and talking with
the spirits in her hometown rather than actual children.
however, she actually began to despise spirits after a
certain sequence of events brought much suffering to her.
♦ kotone suffers from a massive inferiority complex thanks
to always having been called useless by her family. to hide
her insecurities, she adapted the persona of an egotistical
know-it-all and perfect student to show to the world.
♦ kotone ran away from home after her families constant
cruel words finally drove her over the edge. this led to her
meeting a strange man who called himself 'vallahas', and
who taught her mystical martial arts. she considered him
the older brother she never had, and grew very close to
him. but, he disappeared after a strange occurence.

[ ★ ☽ ] [ genya starkov ] [ nickname ] [ pos ] - kotone's only childhood friend aside from spirits. even when they didn't know each other that well as children, she would still confide in genya about anything and everything. she even chose to tell this girl about the problems she encountered with her family during the time. even after the disaster with her spirit friends that caused her to hate spirits, genya was the first to know. kotone does actually feel rather guilty about everything she's told her friend, as she doesn't want her to be burdened(plus, she's embarassed by all the crying she's seen her doing), and sincerely hopes that she's forgotten about all she's been told.
[ ⚔ ] [ saruhiko fukushima ] [ nickname ] [ neg ] - these two were bound to not get along, considering two egos don't tend to mix very well. she also doesn't really like how rudely he behaves, even though she isn't in much of a better position than him.
[ ⚔ ] [ chikisetsu ] [ nickname ] [ neg ] - though kotone doesn't like very many people to begin with, she absolutely despises chikisetsu. she has never really held a conversation with the girl, not one long enough to give her such a strong opinion anyway. she mostly hates the young spirit purely because of her dislike towards all spirits, no matter what kind.

[ ★ ♥ ] [ kuga shusei ] [ shu, shuchii ] [ pos ] - kotone actually became friends with kuga rather easily- a rare occurence. he was certainly friendly towards her, despite how hostile she behaved towards him originally. before long, she found herself going as far as to initiate conversations herself. she slowly grew to enjoy their conversations more and more. such enjoyment only lasted a short while for her, though, as the second she began to feel some complicated feelings towards him, she was back to showing hostility. now, it almost seems as if she's avoiding him.

Kotone Akibara - Something about Kotone just rubs Saruhiko in the wrong direction, mainly perhaps Kotone was most likely stronger than
he is, and that their attitudes were so toxic to each other, considering they're both very egotistical, smart, and prideful. Saruhiko will
go to extreme lengths to annoy and irritate the blonde haired female, and that includes befriending (at least not treating them rudely)
Kotone's enemies and rivals.

Genya Starkov - Saruhiko won't deny it, he liked Genya a lot more than Kotone, but that still doesn't change the fact that both girls were
close friends with each other. Any friend of Kotone was bound to be someone that Saruhiko hated, but he admits that the amount of
training he had gotten from fighting Genya was helpful.

Chikisetsu - Now, because Kotone hates the young spirit, Saruhiko made it his task to not bash on her as well, as hard as it seemed.
The male is able to occasionally have a lengthy conversation with Chikisetsu about the school, but keeping in mind that they are both
rivals, Saruhiko will still give the cold shoulder to the spirit when he's in a particularly foul mood.

Kuga Shusei - One of Saruhiko's only friends in the entire world, the silvery-white haired male will make Saruhiko groan in frustration
sometimes. Saruhiko envies Kuga's ability to communicate freely with everyone, and his openness that draws people to him. However,
Saruhiko isn't too bothered, considering he usually ignores most of the people at Styx or makes stinging comments on the "blithering
bumbling fools" around him.

Amaterasu Kato -

Echo Akumaru - Saruhiko doesn't know very much about the other seventeen year old girl and third elite, but he is rather curious to
see how a fight would go between the two of them.

Kataoka Itona - Saruhiko doesn't usually associate himself with other elites, especially physical ones, resulting in him knowing next to
nothing about his dormmates. However, as his rapier can shoot out blasts of water, Kataoka seems to avoid him. Obviously, this
doesn't bother Saruhiko very much, as he'd rather not be with other people.

Kuroko Orimura - The male is confused by the red haired female, especially when her personality. Saruhiko had talked to Kuroko
before, and left the conversation with a throbbing head. He didn't know what he did to deserve that violent cuff to the head, but
Saruhiko knows that he's most likely better off avoiding the lanky female.

Naria Haddock - Saruhiko isn't quite sure why Naria seems to dislike him even though he doesn't have anything against her friend,
Chikisetsu, but he must have miffed her off in the past. Saruhiko isn't very interested in fighting Naria, and her use of death magic gives
him an excuse to ignore and walk away from her.

Chitania Nightfall - Apparently the elf thinks that she and Saruhiko are friendly rivals, but if you put Saruhiko and rival in the same
sentence, it's not going to be friendly in the slightest. At least, for Saruhiko it isn't. He could honestly care less about what Chitania
thinks, but as long as she knows that they aren't friends, Saruhiko doesn't have that much of a problem with her.

Riku Suzume -

Hikaru Koizumi - Hikaru gives off a similar vibe as Kuga, but unlike Kuga, Saruhiko is very uncomfortable around the muscular white
haired male. Saruhiko isn't fond of the fact that Hikaru could've been an elite if he had tried, considering he dislikes slackers to a certain
extent. However, as long as Hikaru doesn't bother Saruhiko, Saruhiko won't bother him.

Akihira Kugiyama - Saruhiko does not like it when Akihira acts all hero-like. He thinks that it's a particulary unbecoming trait, despite
being someone who constantly trash talks other people and makes fun of others.

Katsumi Mitsuko - Saruhiko is mostly on neutral terms with her, but since she is so similar with Akihira, Saruhiko can't help but harbour
a little hate for the turquoise eyed girl. There was also an incident where he had told Katsumi that girls cannot become knights, and
Katsumi had broken his nose for that.
