the sunny pools - a few dozen meters from camp
the sunny pools are a wonder to look at. it is a popular basking spot and huntin
gground. It is said that Ixorastar had found it while on a trip with Chivenose. She
immediately took the chance to claim it, but as soon as she did, she had an epic
battle with a pack of hostile badgers, which she ended up slaying. There is a lar
ge claw mark on the highest stone of this creek, and while the story seems impl
ausible to some, many believe that the dent was indeed created by a badger, bu
t others claim that twolegs might've climbed the mountain and made the mark b
y themselves. the pools are very clear and sky-blue. sierraclan cats are known t
o be sufficient swimmers, and like the water. many take baths here. The pools a
re very large and there is lots of room. The water is always clear and sky blue.

mystic showers - a mile from camp
mystic showers glow blue at night, creating a spectacular view for any cats who
sit vigil there. this is a common burial place. cats are buried near the trees or d
rifted off into the river. they release the cats with the greatest honors, such as
leaders or heros who died an honorable death. they believe the river has mystic
al properties and any who are drifted off in the river has a better chance of fin
ding their way into StarClan. only the most evil traitors are buried in the ditch.
drinking this water is said to of cured greencough and whitecough, and other va
rieties such as blackcough or kittencough. medicine cats often pluck herbs fro
m this place, as it is blooming with rare plants. Ixorastar was buried on the top
of the waterfall, which had been said to of stopped flow when she died. In the
morning, it is serene and peaceful, with a calming scent.

leader's den + tallledge in camp
the leader's den is a den located directly besides a small pond. there is a tiny w
aterfall that leads up to the sunny pools, which is also used as a ledge for clan
meetings. the original den was more a modest nest within the warrior's den, but
Chivestar, Ixorastar's son, took it upon himself to remodel the small resting plac
e into a den fit for a leader. Some frantic rumors claim that this was an act of tr
yanny on Chivestar's part, who was unfit to rule, but regardless, claimed the thr
one. Many others say that it was just something he renovated for future generati
onsand for privacy on decisions and whatnot. The talledge is used for speeches a
nd gatherings, and open discussions. The small pond houses small bettas and ot
her creatures that the Clan doesn't touch. The inner side of the leader's den is c
omf y and damp (SierraClanners like the moisture), and the walls are coated wit
h edible fungi and moss, which gives easy access to bedding. It is probably the
most comfortable den out of all of them. The den's rocks have trickling water, s
urrounded by ferns and palm trees. Some herbs can be found in this area, as it w
as apparently blessed by Ixorastar. The showers are very tall and stretch around
half the length of the hell-lake, around 100ms.

the warrior's den - in camp
the inside of the warrior's den is wet and mossy, featuring many beds of willow a
nd imported palm leaves. cats often find themselves tumbling off to the undergr
ound river in their sleep, so orchidstar's predecessor, cliffstar, her great-uncle, r
enovated it so that rocks would block the warriors from accidentally falling off. (
however there are no known casualties, and any fallings were cats sleeping close
to the small trickling river. it's not even that deep anyways, a paw-length or so)
which strings down from the leader's den, into a small hole that flows through th
e warrior's den, and through another hole, travels until it splits two ways to the
upside river and mystic falls. warriors find this convenient as they do not need to
go fetch moss and soak it in water, yadda yadda. Right next to this den, is the
queen and kit's; nursery. The order of the dens, clockwise, goes like so : Leader'
s (including the highrock) warrior's, nursery, apprentice's, medicine cat's, and el
der's. There is one empty area for herb storage; which is underground. There a
re a bunch of several, smaller rooms in the caves, around 20, so there is plenty
of room for several cats to choose to sleep beside eachother and, in the deeper
rooms, there is the second exit, without the ladder.

hell-lake -
forbidden w/o permission - 5 miles from camp
said to be the death-place of Chivestar, who was driven out by his own children
and clanmates, the hell-lake boils with extreme heat and any cat who falls dow
n this mysterious, bubbling pit immediately bursts into flames. It is said all evil
cats now reside in the bottom of this pit. Any and all executions are performed
here. (However the usual method is to exile a cat) The heat is so strong, a grou
p consisting of the leader, deputy and medicine cat all fainted when they reach
ed the summit, only to be rescued by the medicine cat apprentice who was too
slow. Caution is highly advised with this area. DO NOT, by any means, GO THER
E BY YOURSELF. It is said that one time, during a stormy night, the volcano eru
pted and caused lots of damage to the Twolegplace, and many kittypets, witho
ut homes, approached the clan for help. In realistic proportions, the distance b
etween the magma and ledge is approx. 200m, so be wary!

nursery - in camp
The most protected place in camp. Placed between the warrior's and apprentice
's dens for maximum protection. During a raid of anything from cougars to snak
es, this area is protected heavily. There is a small waterfall on the side, much
like the warrior's den. It, unlike the warrior's den, flows from the sunny pools,
not the mystic showers. In the thicket, there is another layer that insulates the
den, making it tepid all year long (however there is no need for heating, for it
is pretty hot all-year-round.) The nursery has few mossy rocks in the stream, w
hich small millows swim around, so the older kits and practice their hunting sk
ills in. It is amazing how no dry-paws emerged from SierraClan, since a few ha
ve long furs; which probably sets them off from swiming in the rivers and soaki
ng themselves in the muddy swamps. However, SierraClanners somehow love t
he water, regardless of their fur type. Kits are probably given good correlation
between water and success? Nobody really studies this, so it's a mystery.

apprentice's den - in camp
a small cave. it's pond is connected to the nursery's, somewhat. the first appre
ntcies of SierraClan were rogue kits, and younger kittypets who left their home
s, like Lily, or Ixorastar did, and did not know how to fight. The apprentice's d
en is a nice spot for resting. The den itself is covered in dense shrubbery, the i
nside is wide and dark. Most dens in SierraClan are extremely large, for an unk
nown reason. It is covered in vines and large trees, flowers sprouting from eve
ry direction. Half as large as the warrior's den, the apprentice's den is a nice pl
ace for flourishing apprentices, robust and rambunctious and a hefty load to ca
rry; they can start cliques with eachother, and be a group. Hopefully, these cl
iques don't end up being the start of a discriminatory rebellion! But are appren
tices cunning enough to organize such an evil, complex plan? Probably not.
This den is meant to resemble the 'Crystal Maiden's exterior, but do not share t
he watery insides of the cave. The inside has solid ground that cats can tread
on, and it is not nearly as big as the real-life version. Apprentices can climb up
and down from these plants, giving them good experience out there, within th
e forest. Rogues and kittypets with a fighting spirit are aplenty, and SierraClan
's borders must be defined.

elder's denthe old one's den. The only cat residing here is currently Oldwhisker, with a fit
ting name. He gets lonely in there, but there is always commotion from the app
rentice's den nearby. The den itself, though, is on the smaller side and is on the
ledge of the cliff. (The exit, of course, facing the opposite direction as the clif
f ledge. From the ledge, you can see what you see on the main thread's main p
ost, a twolegplace.) The elder won't get prickly in this den; it is quite fancied
and has convinced a few cats to retired a few moons too early. Fitted with a ni
ce, trickling stream and a nicely, moss-padded interior, the Elder's Den is a gem
in the dirt. I guess there is the inconvience of having to climb up a small slope t
o get to this den, but it is fine! The comfort of the inside is a lot to look forwar
d to, unless you are an outsider who recently settled into SierraClan's ranks. Th
en, it'll be an absolute nightmare. Oh, the screeching, trickling waters, the drip
s of fresh dew onto the cave floor, over, and over and over, and ocassional dro
ps falling onto your head.. the overbearing scent of moss.. if you aren't a Sierra
Clanner, your cat probably.. doesn't like that..

home of elderly twoleg - right beyond the
BoundaryThe home of an fickle she-twoleg, with whitened hair and a calm gaze. She on
ce took care of a lost apprentice, letting her go when she discovered there was
a group of cats. Apparently, the villagers and townspeople thinks she's insane fo
r believing a Clan of cats lived off into the wild, in the mountain, with an order
ed life with traditions. The elderly twoleg is native to the tropical island, and ha
s an aged, tan face. Sometimes, twolegkits are in the den, often playing with Si
erraClan apprentices who don't know what Twolegs are. But they aren't hostile,
and they don't fit in your mouth, so they're.. friends? The twoleg has been there
since Ixorastar's time, but she was described to be a very young Twolegkit herse
lf, with black hair and, more Twolegs that accompanied her. Not much else is k
nown about the Elderly twoleg, but her den is quite large and she is very welco
ming. She will heal any cat she sees injured.

The Boundary - 3 1/3 miles from camp
The boundary is the edge of the mountain. It ends where the water flow ends,
a nice little waterfall that divides the big ledge that connects downward to th
e beach and the town of Twolegs. It is very slippery, so cats must actually try to
step out of their borders. Every time, during a border patrol, the cats go over th
ere first to check for any rogues or kittypets that may accidentally cross. Many o
f SierraClan members were found that way, after they had plans to join the Clan
; most passing through without much trouble at all. There is a small rock island
in the lake that apprentices sometimes take vigil in for their final assessments,
challenging the young cat to use his or her surroundings to their advantage, and
even when cornered, can manage their own.
