The roundup is the most feared time for wild horses. The horses always lose someone.
Whether its family or friend. Their gone. And never seen again. This year the herd was divided.
The horses scattered and once again have lost valued members. The herd is in total chaos. They
had hoped that they wouldn't be bothered again. That the helicopters wouldn't come their loud
blades spooking them. And even worse the humans. Fellow horses turned out to be traitors carrying
the humans on their backs. And then they would hear the lasso. Like a whip in the air and even worse
it would land around their necks. The horses we're terrified. And yet in the back of their minds they
knew they would come. The horses have once again survived the roundup but with lowered numbers
than before. It was decided by the lead mare that this would never happen again. They would leave
the peaceful valleys and move somewhere else. Into the mountains. The herd knew that they would
face many threats on the way. But they wouldn't stand for another roundup. It was time to make a
stand. But the humans aren't going to let them go easily. With both humans and other threats on
their heels and horses wonder if they'll reach their freedom. Or meet their doom.
