For many seasons, the Rabbits of the Watership Down Warren have known only peace. After the demise of Hazel-Rah, Chief of Watership Down, it was Bigwig who took over as Chief. Under his careful guidance, the Warren flourished and thrived. Many seasons have passed since the time of what is now being called 'The Great Journey', and to the current chief, a daughter is born with visions much like Fivel once had. This young rabbit is convinced that her visions are telling her that the Warren must move once more, or face great destruction the likes of which no rabbit has ever seen. Trusting his daughter's judgment, the Chief sends her and seven others out in search of their new home. But these eight young rabbits will face great challenges along the way as they fight to find their new home.

Vocabulary
Lapine - The Language of the Rabbits
Animals;
Elil: Enemies (of rabbits) a term that refers to the natural enemies of rabbits (foxes, stoats, badgers, etc) and also to humans, who are regarded as one of the Thousand Enemies. Its use is similar to the use of the word "evil" in the English language. The rabbits also know their enemies as "u embleer hrair", Lapine for "the stinking thousand".
Hlessi: A homeless rabbit without a hole to dwell in. (plural: hlessil)
Homba: A fox. (plural: hombil)
Lendri: A badger. (plural: lendril)
Marli: A doe (female rabbit); also means "mother". Literally, a doe. Figuratively, a mother.
Pfeffa: A cat. (plural: pfeffil)
Yona: A hedgehog. (plural: yonil)
Nouns;
Bob-stones: A traditional game among rabbits. The Lapine word is unknown, but Adams translates it as "bob stones" and calls it a traditional game among rabbits. A traditonal game among rabbits. A "cast" of stones is on the ground, and covered with a forepaw. The opponent must hazard some sort of guess about its nature
Flay: Food, e.g. grass or other green fodder.; particularly good food is called flayrah, using the suffix -rah, which literally means "food of princes".
Frith: The sun, personified as a god by rabbits. Frithrah! is used as an exclamation and translates to "the lord Sun".
Hlao: Any dimple or depression in the grass, such as that formed by a daisy plant or thistle, which can hold moisture.
Hrair: Any number greater than four. It is translated to thousand and, less commonly, five. Hrair, combined with elil and the suffix -rah, forms the name Elil-Hrair-Rah: literally, "the prince with a thousand enemies", which is shortened to El-ahrairah, the rabbits' mythological champion and messiah. A great many; an uncountable number; any number above four. U Hrair=The Thousand (enemies).
Hrairoo: "Little Thousand". The name of Fiver in Lapine.
Hraka: Droppings, feces
Hrududu: An onomatopoeic term that refers to any motor vehicle. A tractor, car or any motorvehicle. Plural (hrududil).
Inlé: The moon; also the idea of darkness, fear or death (as in the "Black Rabbit of Inlé"). Fu Inlé is used to refer to "after moonrise". Literally, the moon; also moonrise. But a second meaning carries the idea of darkness, fear and death.
Ni-Frith: Noon
Rah: A prince or leader or chief rabbit.; usually used as a suffix, e.g. Threarah means "Lord Threar".
Sil: Outside, outdoors
Tharn: To be petrified with fear, i.e. "deer in headlights".
Thlay: Fur
Threar: A rowan tree, or mountain ash.
Zorn: Destruction or murder; can also denote catastrophe, suffered a catastrophe.
Verbs;
Silflay: A term used for both grass used for grazing and the act of grazing itself. To go above ground to feed. Literally, to feed outside. Also used as a noun.
Vair: To excrete, to pass droppings.
Abjectives;
Embleer: An adjective translated to stinking, specifically referring to the smell of a fox. Stinking, as in the smell of a predator, esp. a fox.
Narn: An adjective denoting nice or pleasant, often in terms of food. Pleasant to eat.
Roo: Used as a suffix to denote a dimunitive, e.g. Hrairoo. A diminutive, usually affectionate. Suffixed.
Using the Language of Lapine is not wholly necessary but I thought I'd put it up in case anyone wanted to try and incorporate it into their own posting
Notes About Roleplay
*Based off the 2018 Netflix Adaptation of Watership Down. I would prefer you have either seen the adaptation (which just came out), seen the original movie or have read the book HOWEVER this takes place well after the events of the story and therefore it is not wholly necessary
*This roleplay will center around the descendants of the Rabbits of Watership Down as they are forced to set out on another journey
*Fun Fact; This is titled after the ending credit song of the new Netflix Adaptation, Fire on Fire - Sam Smith

The Chief's Daughter
Poppyblossom is the Daughter of Watership Down's current Chief. She is a headstrong young rabbit that has always yearned to break away from the Warren and see the world. When she begins getting her visions, she decides that this is her chance to achieve that dream and sets out on a journey to find her warren's new home.
Played by: Sarcastic Kitten
The Storyteller;
The Son of the Chief, he was the runt of the litter and was often overlooked as a young kit. Despite this, he is a warm and friendly young Buck with a knack for telling stories. Most of the Guards dismiss him as inconsequential, but he had made a name for himself in the Warren as someone who can cheer up even the saddest or most petrified of Rabbits. He is great at distracting and easing the mind and has an extremely close relationship with his sister. Someone whimsical and quirky in personality but very sweet.
Played by; Sarcastic Kitten
The General
Hawthorn is a large and powerful rabbit, he is one of the best fighters in the Warren and the righthand man of the current Chief. Many believe he is destined to mate with the Chief's daughter and take over the Warren one day, but in truth, the two can't stand each other and are often found bickering. He is extremely loyal to the Warren and was personally asked by the Chief to Guard and protect the Chief's Daughter during the journey.
Played by: Woah
The Captain
This Doe was the largest in her litter. She is a fearsome fighter and doesn't let anything get past her. Unlike most Does, she is built for strength and power as opposed to speed and agility and her dedication to the Chief makes her an excellent candidate to go along on the journey.
Played by; Kessowolf
The Look-Out;
She is a fairly easy-going and friendly Doe who was chosen to accompany the others due to her unusually large eyes and ears. Her senses are incredibly sharp, even for a rabbit, making her the perfect look-out to keep an eye on any danger lurking nearby. She is best friends with the Chief's Daughter, which might also have played a role in her accompanying the others.
Played by; Nebleung
Guard 1;
An extremely ambitious Buck, he has wanted to be Chief since he was a young kit and he knows full well that the way to accomplish that is by wooing the Chief's Daughter. He is a smooth, charming Buck who has no issue using flirtation to get what he wants... but he is about as trustworthy as a snake. He and the General have a great dislike for one another. Because of this, he views the General as an obstacle in his path to the Chief's Daughter and he isn't above getting rid of his competition to achieve his goals.
Played by; Open
Guard 2
Cedar Chip is a somewhat shifty Buck, he is smaller and weaker than most Bucks and only works for the Warren's Council because he is the younger brother of Guard 1. His loyalties lie with his brother and he often ends up doing his brother's dirty work for him. Not the smartest Buck in the Warren, but he is extremely loyal and not above doing questionable things to please his brother.
Played by; Kessowolf
Guard 3
A rather chill and laidback Buck, he is known for being a goofy jokester who's mere presence tends to put the others at ease. He is witty and charming but don't let his easy going nature fool you. He is a formidable fighter and will do anything in his power to protect those he has sworn to guard.
Played by; Nebleung
Scavenger 1
A shy and timid doe, she was chosen only for her great talent at finding food in even the most barren seeing places. She has an acute sense of smell, far sharper than any of the other rabbits in the Warren, but she is a very shy and nervous rabbit. She even jumps at her own shadow.
Played by; Res Vanillarabbit
Scavenger 2
A much bolder doe, she is fierce and stubborn and looks down on those she deems weaker than she is. She admires strength and versatility above all else and isn't at all pleased that they're following the supposed visions of the chief's sheltered daughter. She isn't at all shy about making her dislike for the Chief's children and the other scavenger known and is constantly trying to sway the General's attention towards her, purely out of spite.
Played by; Petrova
